I used to love taking my cars here for service, but after the last couple of trips in I have seen how badly their service has become. My girlfriend needed a new alternator and I didnt have the time to do it myself, so I recommended she take it to 4th street. Big mistake, they wanted to charge her about $800 to replace it. I then called and asked if we could bring in our own alternator, they said sure so I had her drop off the alternator. They ended up charging us $350 to change it out which included a $90 inspection fee, upon picking up the car from 4th Street Johny in a very passive way informs us that her brand new battery would need to be changed out soon. The next day on my girlfriends way into work she begins to experience the same issues as before, I call Johny at 4th street and ask if there was anything else wrong with the car? He immediately states that because we purchased the new alternator ourselves 4th street isnt responsible for the issues we are having. I told him I knew that going into this and I just wanted to know if they observed any other problems when they inspected the car, he then replies did you change the battery? I told him we were going to do that on the weekend since he didnt inform us it was a big problem, he then starts to freak out and inform me that the battery cell had blown and that it is probably going to damage the alternator. Why he didnt inform us of this to begin with is beyond me. At this point I leave work early and race down to my girlfriends job to replace the battery, we then drive the car to Autozone and get a FREE testing of the electrical system, the worker informs me that the Alternator is not working properly and asks me if the mechanic had tested it before he returned the car to us. I told him Im not sure, the worker then informs us that we should have the alternator replaced again since the car would at best only run for a couple of more days before the battery drains again. We decide to take the car home and that I would replace the alternator myself again on the coming Saturday morning since I cant miss any more time at work. Saturday comes and I remove the alternator from her car and notice that one of the electrical clips wasnt plugged in all the way as it should be, We take the alternator back to the store and have it swapped out. I then install the new alternator and make sure that I connect all electrical components correctly. The car starts up and sounds great, we take it to Autozone and they test it and inform us that everything is working perfectly. On the way back to the house I call 4th street and speak to Johny, I inform him of what happened and tell him that they failed to reconnect the alternator correctly. Johny informs me that he will speak to the technician who had performed the service and would reprimand him for not doing the job correctly. He then informs me that all he can do is offer his apology for what has happened, Mind you I just paid them $350 for the job they did wrong. I told him he just lost our business because this isnt the first time they have failed to complete a job correctly, he didnt care. Im not trying to hurt anyones feelings here, Im just writing this review to let people know that take your car here at your own risk. Prices are great, but is it worth the hassle if your car is going to die on the road again after they fix it?

I visited them today for a simple Lyft/Uber Inspection. Now, on a 2008 Mercedes, that might take 5 minutes. They charge $20, no problem. I get there. The Manager, a miserable, dirty looking small Man explains to a Customer why his Engine just blew up in the Car he just purchased a week ago from them...? He is done, my Turn: Manager:"Ok, what do you want?" Me: "A Lyft Inspection." Manager: " you got to fill out these...." Me: "Already pre-filled. Just look at the Car, takes minutes." Manager: "Yeah, right" Me: "I just had it at the Dealer..." Manager then lets me standing there, picks up the Phone. I learn that some IT Guy is helping him with his Computer. Hes going through some troubleshooting Steps with his Invoicing Software. He then disappears in the Shop. I am still standing there, Hes got my Key. After 30 minutes waiting and him ignoring me, i politely ask him: "How much longer will it take until you can look at my Car?" Manager: "Uhm,,ahh, probably youll have it back by 2:00PM" He is getting really moody now, and none of the Mechanics have even glanced at my Car. Suddenly, a Matco Tool Truck enters the Shop. Mechanics come running out of several Shops, invading the Tool truck. Me: "Ok, its 1:50PM now, I guess I got 10 more minutes." Manager is now getting pissed, I am getting confused, never raised my Voice, staid calm...? Manager: "You know, if you are in a hurry, just take the Key and come back later." Me: "Oh, no worry, i got the Time." Manager: " Know what? I aint going to do it." Me: "Excuse me? after all that Time waiting here, you can now no longer do it?" Me: " [insert worst ever things you can call someone here]", which I am not very proud of. How utmost unprofessional!!! I am leaving this disgusting, filthy, rotten, dark place. I cannot believe what just happened. But after having looked at that ugly place for almost 45 minutes, I understand. What I dont understand is that anyone can bring their Car/Truck/Suv to these Folks. They obviously have no Business Etiquette, and you must be on the Bottom of the Barrel to visit this place. You are either Homeless and live in your Car, got no money whatsoever and pay in Food Stamps, or you are flat out broke and on the end of your Rope.

These guys are crooks. They know how to do mechanic work, but from my recent personal experience, they sabatoged my vehicles motor to increase the work. I suspect the complicit leader of this is Art, but also involved were the guys at the motorcycle shop on the same property. I know this because I heard them talking and laughing about it while I was trying to figure out what the problem was. Look, I do all my own mechanic unless I dont have a place to prop the hood for a few days, so it did not take long for me to figure this out, with the engine stalling out. It never stalled before. Then, of course, they begin the regimen of fixing things to make it right resulting in hundreds more dollars for them. This is one of those places.
