This is a very honest review of a very horrible experience. To make this short, if you can hire any locksmith but Helohs then do so because this locksmith (Armando the owner specially) 1. Gives you false promises 2. Initially gives you very low quotes but then raises them so you end up paying more than what initially agreed on 3. He doesnt care about his customers time AT ALL. Want to know why I say everything I say? Then read the whole review I contacted Armando on Sep. 2 to get a REMOTE key for my car, he said he would do the job for $230 with the cars original key. (Keep in mind I wanted the cars original key not a spare key, I wanted the remote key!) He said he would come to my house at 10.45am, and he ended up coming at 5.15PM more than 6 hours later than what was agreed. Because I got mad due to his tardiness he said he was going to discount $25 off of the $230 So he came at 5.15pm he gave me a SPARE KEY not the REMOTE key that I wanted and told me to only pay him 100 for the spare key and that in 2 days that the original key arrived at his shop I would simply pay him the remaining $105 and he would give me the REMOTE key. To keep it short this was on Sep. 3 Sep 19 comes and I still dont have the key. By this time I have already contacted him on Sep 8 and Sep 13 to see if I can go get the key, each time he gives me a new excuse and tells me that someother day he will be able to do it I call him today to ask whats going on, his brother answers the phone and tells me Armando is in San Diego and that he will answer my message as soon as he gets back Armando texts me around 9pm today Sep. 19 telling me that change of plans That the quote that he had told me was wrong and that if I wanted the REMOTE KEY, which was what I wanted since the beginning, I would have to pay him an extra $190 so now the price of the REMOTE key went from $205 to $290 since remember I didnt ask for a spare key he said he was giving me that spare WHILE the remote key arrived Now let me explain, prior all of this I had already contacted 18 other Locksmiths and if I stayed with Helohs was because of the quote that Armando gave me was the lowest, and because He said for 230 he would give me the original Remote key I had contacted another locksmith that would do the original remote key for $230 on Sep.5 but because we were on Sep 3 and Armando said $25 off due to his tardiness I dismissed the other Locksmith because stupidly I thought I would save money. If I wanted a SPARE key I would have called another locksmith that was willing to do it $75 So in short this guy will give you a very low price to try to get a hold of you, then he will change the quote Now I ended up paying $100 for a SPARE key, and if I want the Remote key I have to pay another 190 so it will total 290 when I could have since the beginning payed 230 for the REMOTE key Needless to say this is a very HORRIBLE company with very HORRIBLE costumer service skill and ZERO professionalism If you give a client a quote and a date You stick to that quote that you gave and to the date that you promised to do the job. I will not EVER be calling this Locksmith again and neither should anyone who reads my review, I have pictures of all of the messages with dates and times Helohs locksmith is a waste of time! Be aware!

He seemed very nice and so I was happy to go as a result of the many positive reviews that I read. On last Sunday (not the one that just passed), I drove to his location (residential) at which time he told me he needed parts from his office and to come to his office the next to get my key. He apologized and said he would make my car key for $35 due to the inconvenience. On last Saturday I did, then he told me the parts didnt arrive and that he would contact me later that day so that I could pick up my key. In the interim he taped my key together so I could at least use it in the ignition. My key is still covered in black masking tape. I can use in the ignition but I am unable to get into my trunk or lock my car remotely. He did not call me as promised.. I waited two days, no call. Then I called him (this was about Wednesday last week and he indicated again that he had to place another call for the parts...and that he would call me back. He did not. Since then, I have called several times (the voice mail box is full and does not allow messages). and despite his voice mail stating he would return all text messages within seconds, this has not ever happened not even once since I started texting him 7 days ago. I have since then sent 6 text messages to try and pick up my key casing to my car to go elsewhere, which he still has and he has not returned any of my calls or texts.. I feel up until this point I have been kind, patient and understanding. He has my key casing and refuses to return my calls and has wasted a week of my time.. Today is Tuesday, March 24, 2015...still havent heard back. So, I have filed a better business bureau complaint because I have proof of all this ridiculousness. Its been 7 days now. Im a single parent with an autistic child and dont have time for this.

If I could give a negative rating, I would. I have been trying to get a hold of Armando since 8/19/2013 and have left MULTIPLE voicemails, emails and text messages to no response. Essentially he charged me $500 for a lock 3/2013 with a lifetime warranty and when it started malfunctioning, he started not responding. When following up with the manufacturer they stated that they stopped manufacturing this lock years ago and they only provided a one year warranty at that time. It should be noted that Heloh Locksmiths are no longer apart of Better Business Bureau. Moreover, look at the responses from Armando on negative comments and how defensive he is. Its quite convenient that everyone has the SAME complaint of unresposiveness and poor customer service and he still finds the chutzpah to reply. I will definitely be following up on legal remedies at this time as I will need to purchase yet another lock at this time. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I usually dont write reviews but thought i had to in this instance. I am so glad to have called Heloh Locksmiths. I lost my car keys and they came out to my car to make new keys for me. They were there when they said they would be and above all courteous, empathetic, and timely. Above all they were professional and fairly priced. I am definitely going to recommend them, even saved the number in my cell. Thank you guys for getting me when I was in a tough spot. I thought for sure I was going to be taken advantage of because of my situation. Nice to know there are still honest business men out there. The service man was a pleasure to meet and reassured me i would have a key in no time. very nice all in all. thanks again. Key works perfect. Muchisimas Gracias. Oh he even texted me to check up on me to make sure everything was up to par after the service man left. De Veras fue un placer.
