My Gen 1 Prius started behaving badly right before Christmas, for the first time in its life. Allied Auto Works came highly recommended, so I brought it in and the folks there diagnosed it right away. The big old traction battery (after 12 years and 170k miles) was finally dying. I left my car there, confident they would take care of my little hybrid, and they did. They ordered the battery and installed it right away, and my car and I have been happy ever since. Every person I interacted with at the shop was courteous, friendly and honestly seemed to have my cars best interest in mind. Plus they took the time to explain things and answer questions for me - a huge plus in my book.

Ive been bringing my cars to Allied for probably 25 years! That tells you all you need to know about what to expect when you choose Allied to service and repair your car. In addition to getting exceptional service, you also get honest advice about all the things a good mechanic can tell you about your car - when to sell it, when to fix it, when to let something slide until the next visit. I trust them completely to help me with all my car needs, and now my kids are bringing their cars in as well. Its become a family tradition.

What do I want from a car shop? Friendly, respectful, people who I trust to give me the straight dope on my car, fix it right, give me a call when its done, and a ride home if I need it when dropping off. What does Allied Auto offer? All that, plus proactive above-and-beyond service--reminders for car maintenance I might forget, phone support when my Check Engine light comes on in the boonies, and advice for which Firestone to visit for good service when I need my wheels aligned (cause I got their lifetime package).

Recently got a quote from the dealership of over $600 (?!) to install a replacement for a broken side mirror. Stopped by Allied in the afternoon after picking up the part to see what they could do. They said "Cant do it today, can you drop it off tomorrow?" Dropped the car off in the morning, picked it up the same day in the evening. Total cost: $165. Works/looks good as new. Very happy with their service, friendliness, and professionalism. Will definitely be taking my car back to Allied whenever I need service.

I appreciate their flexibility. I was supposed to pick the car up in the afternoon but my return from a trip was delayed until after the shop was closed. I needed the car early the next morning. Travis put the second key under the mat, I picked the car up on my way home from the airport and settled up the bill the following day. I have been a customer for over 20 years so I am sure they know where I live, but just imagine the local car dealer working out that arrangement with you!

Matt Ahern the service manager was friendly and professional. I recognized him at the time of my appointment as I knew him from his prior employer. Work was done in a timely manner; and was the price quoted over the phone. I also talked with the mechanic who worked on my car. He was friendly and knowledgeable about my car (Saab). Where some mechanics tend to shy away from them as theyre not familiar with them. I would not hesitate to refer them to friends and family.

My 1984 Honda CRX has carburetor problems. It basically dies on me when slowing down and stopping. It needs a new carburetor, which is hard to find for this car and model. After visiting several auto shops, all telling me the problem cant be fixed, I got a referral to Allied Auto Works. They adjusted the idling from 200 rpm to 1200 rpm and the car is now safe to drive.I not only appreciate their honesty, but the fact that you get transport to and from your home.

Allied Auto Works, Los Altos, has provided my family with the finest auto service we have ever received. To me, the most important thing about an auto repair/service facility is character and integrity. The manager, Craig, and my personal mechanic, Chris, are men that definitely meet this criteria. I could not make a stronger recommendation than this. They are simply the best at what they do.

Ive had Allied work on three cars, old Porsche 912, Jeep and a Mazda. Will never go anyplace else, Honest, friendly, fast and competitively priced. You will not find a better value anyplace. The phrase above and beyond comes to mind. The advise I get is always right on. Cant say enough good things with out sounding like a commercial. Jim D. Los Altos Ca.

A big thanks to Brian, Craig and the crew at Allied for great service, integrity, saving us money when they can, and sometimes being a shoulder to cry on. We get terrific service for all our cars, both foreign and domestic, make appointments on the internet, get service reminder emails and feel like we have found our mechanics for life. Close to our house and they go out of their way to assist... taking my car to the dealership to get recall certification. They even put air in my bike tires when I drop off my car. Great work, great service and some of the nicest folks on the planet!!! The best service weve ever encountered!!!

The service is very professional. Every visit comes with a thorough inspection to insure the overall health of your car. If you want to keep your car for a long time, this is the place to bring it. I never look forward to a car repair, but I love my car when I get it back from you guys!!

They say if you find a doctor, mechanic, or lawyer you can trust, stick with them as they are hard to come by. Well, Ive found my mechanic. They do fantastic work and have reasonable prices. They go above and beyond what they need to do and are extremely friendly to boot.

Our neighbor gave this place a glowing recommendation, and after getting the run around from the MB dealer, decided to give them a shot. Very straightforward, honest, and high quality. Not to mention I can walk there, dont need to look anymore for further service needs.
