New do, new you. Never underestimate the power of a good haircut to change your life. And at Etude, youll seriously get a great hair cut. Ive been coming here for a few years now, off the tip of my best guy friend, who has enviable hair. He took me here as a birthday present to get a cut when I had typical asian-girl long straight black hair. Little did he know, its the gift that keeps on giving back, because Ive come here now for long, short, medium and everything in-between, and I am always so happy with how my hair turns out. Ladies haircuts are $40 (what a steal!) and you get a wash, dry, cut, and style. They also offer you your choice of drink (I always opt for iced green tea - refreshing, and a little caffeine to power you through your day), and some munchies - a madeline cookie, a chocolate chip cookie and some chocolates. The girls are all so sweet and take your happiness seriously. Seriously best service ever. Some customers complain about the English, but I can communicate just fine and end up with a beautiful haircut each time. I also appreciate that these stylists know how to cut asian hair - its different, and things that look good on blonde hair will not look good on asian hair. they advise you and go with what will fit your face and lifestyle. My recommendations: Short hair - Ashley Long hair - Jina K. Tip: -located on top floor of the Center on 6th -parking is free in their lot (get validated by the salon)

My experience was overwhelming! If youre not patient like me do not come on a Saturday and be mentally prepared to be sat down for four hours and your hair being taken care of and touched by like 5 different people. My hair stylist was Hana but she had like 5 different assistants helping her on my hair. They all left my hair gorgeous and full of life! I got the keratin treatment done on my hair I actually wanted the perm but they recommended not too so I followed their advice. I will be coming back in a couple of months to get it though because I am still not fully convinced. I love how friendly they are and courteous. One thing I did dislike was that they had me sitting on one of the chairs by the table it was so uncomfortable. And Hana did cut my hair a little more than I asked for but that is okay. I love how my hair turned out. I recommend this place with out a doubt.

I think I found my new hair salon thanks to Natalie K. Stella is amazing and super sweet. I wanted my hair layered plus side bangs and she did it exactly how I wanted it. Unlike the other stylists Ive had, she did not do a glamorous blow dry (thank god). She kept it straight so I could see my layers and her assistant gave me a nice tip to keep my hair protected from dry weather. The one thing that sucked was that I had to wait 20-30minutes past my appointment on a Saturday. The assistant finally came by and washed my hair, which felt amazing. The price is reasonable. The price is on the higher end ($40 for a stylist and $45 for a specialist for men) but I think the service provided, the friendliness of the staff, and the proffesionality of the cuts are well worth the price. The lounge is very clean and full of goodies. They have a great waiting area for any companions, mini screens in front of every haircut area, and complementary beverages and snacks. My specialist Michaela Kim and her assistant Julie were phenomenal. No hair on my clothes, was washed twice, got a clean cut, and even got a refreshing massage to finish off. I live 300+ miles away and Id still consider dropping by whenever Im in the area.

The interior of the salon is nice, but I wasnt so impressed with their service and cleanliness. The floor was covered with hair, but nobody bothered to clean it up! Plus, I was pretty turned off by the layout of the makeup products in the makeup room--they looked dirty and so did the makeup brushes. Moreover, the makeup artist didnt meticulously put on my makeup. Instead, she put too much on the first time and then used various products to take some off. I wouldnt really rate them high on friendliness either. Overall, it was a big disappointment!

$35 for a mens haircut in the largest salon I have ever seen. Everything is organized well and everyone spoke sufficient English. I came by without an appointment 15 minutes after opening and they were already packed. After a 15 minute wait, I had my haircut by Jessie whom I recommend with much enthusiasm. I brought her a picture and she saw details within that picture that I myself did not notice. I have had my hair cut at many different midrange salons from Chinese, to Japanese, to Korean: so far Jesse has been the best.

I came here twice already. The first time was super awesome. The staff was really friendly, they even offered snacks like drinks or cookies. I didnt have an appointment so I just called in and they were able to accommodate. I got there and was immediately taken to wash my hair. I was then taken to my chair to get the hair cut. You will feel comfortable and they do provide excellent customer service.

Update from my second round of pampering at Etude Lounge, City Center Salon. Had another keratin treatment, this time by a stylist named Ayla, and this treatment was even better than my first!!! Ayla is a life changer, she really did an amazing job. Im about ~5 weeks out from the treatment, and my hair is still shining and behaving. Ive finally found my HG keratin stylist.

Horrible experience. Reception Girl wasnt traind well she were rude since I call for the appointment.put me with this lady call high level stylists , means same cut but charge you more money. had to pay $65 for my messy haircut. Please try different place.There is a lot of hair salon in downtown LA who dose professional job and has reasonable price.

The stylist didnt pay close attention when I explained what kind of hair style I wanted. I said I wanted big natural looking waves, but she made small curls. When I said I wanted larger curl, she said small curls last longer..but who wants the style to last longer when you dont even like it..

I went to Etude for the first time today. I was so impressed with Kori Lims experience and professionalism. She was able to get the exact blonde with auburn highlights that I requested. I will definitely go to her again and recommend her for any hair color or cut!

Great experience with highlights. Lee knows how to work with color and the preservation of the hairs strength. Everything presented naturally in the end. She recommended using Apoplexy if receiving color treatments. It helps to prevent as much damage.

Professional staffs and good price for a haircut. The interior seems clean and nice. The place is always crowded and full of people, regardless of time. So make sure to make an appointment!
