So glad I chose Powerup Electric to overhaul what was a 90 year old electrical system in my three bedroom 1,300 square foot craftsman bungalow style house in Glendale. It was definitely time to upgrade. Blown fuses, flickering lights, and plans to install a state of the art 3 ton HVAC system, not to mention peace of mind knowing my house wont catch fire. But there was apprehension. Doing a complete electrical upgrade means opening up not only every corner of your house but your lifestyle and routines as well. Powerup Electric met with me at my home and did a "walkthrough" on a Sunday afternoon. This was an interesting experience. They got to know simple but important things that determine a successful electrical layout: which rooms are commonly used, how theyre used, the location of appliances, simple patterns like how you usually enter a house or room and so on. They got to know my life and then designed the locations of outlets, switches, dimmers, three-way dimmers, and LED recessed lights. We met again to review the final plan and go over the estimate. This is what I got for between 17 and 23 thousand dollars. Powerup Electric expertly installed 40 LED recessed lights. 43 outlets, twelve of which are quads and three of which are waterproof exterior outlets. 32 switches, six of which are three ways. Removal of old wire and a power panel upgrade to 240 volts. Four batterlyless carobon monoxide/smoke detectors. A Lutron wireless remote/internet control system of my living room lights. Four exterior lights all motions sensored (front porch, backyard, driveway and patio). Two landscape lights to illuminate two trees on the front lawn. An attic light was installed along with two outlets. They custom installed the compressor for the air conditioning to the power panel, avoiding any possibility of an outage caused by inclement weather conditions. They removed all old lights without damaging them. They installed a ceiling light and fan in the bathroom as well. They patched up all cuts in the wall to the point where it was ready for paint. The quality of the work and value for money are fantastic! They arrived at 7:30am and left at 3:30pm each working day. If you havent gone through a total rewire of your house, let me say this. Its best you get out of the way. They work incredibly hard and clean up before they leave. When I came back from work, I had full power to the house. The only difference is the updated work performed in a room(s). It was a lot of work. The beauty is they did it in ten working days!! The work passed inspection the first time. I live in Glendale, which can be very picky when it comes to passing inspections. Their electrical upgrade works like a dream and my new HVAC system works beautifully as well. They came back a couple Saturdays to tweak the system. I wanted 5,000k lights in the kitchen instead of 2,700k. They also installed a new outlet in the kitchen in addition to installing motion sensors in place of a few switches in the laundry room. This is an incredibly skilled and hard working staff and company. A total electrical upgrade can be daunting. But if youre going to remodel a home, its the first thing you should do. Everything depends on it. Im enjoying the stability and reliability of my new electrical system. Powerup Electric worked with me every step of the way. They are highly professional and care deeply about customer satisfaction. They were always respectful and courteous. I recommend them without reservation.

These guys are a class A operation all the way. Ive owned/operated a home automation company in Los Angeles for the past 16 years, and so have worked with a number of different electricians. Last week, my wife and I were faced with a major electrical mess at a property we recently purchased. Since my usual "go-to guys" werent available, my wife found Power Up Electric on Angies List and asked me to call them for a quote. It was the best phone call Ive made in a long time. I immediately felt like a VIP customer and was given an appointment the same day for a walk through and consultation. Gabriel, the owner, showed up himself for the consultation. He addressed all of my concerns and I was provided with a competitive not-to-exceed quote at the end of the walk through. More importantly, I felt that he genuinely cared about providing excellent customer service and I knew that he would make sure I was happy with everything before he considered the job to be completed. In my opinion, THIS is what makes an excellent service professional! When an unforeseen issue came up which was technically part of the project scope but was also extra work which wasnt accounted for, Gabriel and his team took care of it with a smile (and no additional charge). They even made a couple last-minute changes for us without adding change orders. I cant say enough about the professionalism, and good old-fashioned customer-first service that we received from Power Up Electric. They have my top recommendation!

I found Power Up Electric on Angies List. They had very high reviews on Angies List (Top of the class). I spoke with at least 6 electricians to get a quote on an extremely minor switch change. Most of the other electricians did not answer the phone right away, so I had to play phone tag with the majority of the electricians I called. When I called Power Up Electric, they answered the phone right away. In fact every time I called, they answered the phone so that definitely sets them apart on that point alone. I spoke with Gabriel Chan on Monday and he made every effort to try to move his schedule around to come and see me the same day. He provided great service, his price was very fair. I received several quotes from quite a few electricians and Gabriel was the best quote.. Responsive, Fast, Great Service, Fair Price. I will definitely use Power Up Electric in the Future.

I highly recommend Power Up Electric. My parents have been using Gabriel Chan for over 20 years, so when it came to rewiring and updating my own home I used him without hesitation. He obtained the necessary permits and brought everything up to code so there were no issues with passing inspections. Gabriel is very experienced and knowledgeable. His staff is also very helpful and cleaned up the site after every day. Not only did he upgrade my electrical, he wired my home for an impressive entertainment system which sounds and looks awesome. He also set up cable t.v., telephone, and computer network connections for all the rooms. His price was very competitive and he did whatever he needed to do to ensure my complete satisfaction. Give Gabriel a call and see for yourself.

POWER UP ELECTRIC IS THE BEST! Gabriel Chan and Power up saved my house after the recent Santa Ana windstorm. I called them on Friday, December 2nd. Gabriel was at my house the next morning. He gave me a clear and reasonable estimate on repairing the interior and exterior wiring that had been damaged after two 40 ft. trees had been uprooted by the wind. He scheduled the work for the next week, as soon as the trees could be cleared. I always call Power Up for any electrical work. They are prompt and fair. I have known Gabriel for 13 years and he has done expert and precise work on all three properties I have hired him to take care of. Call Power Up. Youlll be glad you did and your electrical systems will treat you well!
