I have actually used Carters for years. Luckily, I rarely need them. Years ago I had a "never again" experience with them but years pass and ... we forget. This time, my dish washer broke. They couldnt see me for two or more days. I explained that I was expecting four overnight guests the following night (true) and they said they would come the following day. The tech came as requested on time and was very nice. He said the repair would be over $400 and the part would come in three to five days. I took the time to look for a new machine that could be delivered in 24 hours but I felt the cost was high to buy an extra two or three days, so I called them that day and put down a deposit for a part. Seven days later I called Carters to find out what happened to the past. I was told that it would take ten days and that was normal! Today is day 14 and Carter still has not called me. When I called them, first thing in the morning, miraculously, the past had just arrived today! They could schedule me an appointment tomorrow! I asked them to pay overtime and have it installed today. No. I did, after asking for it (!), receive a very terse apology. Thank you, Carters. I wish I had remembered my past experience with them and called someone else. These people are very well established in the community and apparently never need to please customers. Call someone else. I will. A follow up report. Last I reviewed Carters they were about to charge my account and order the part. The repair man just installed it on day 16 after his first visit. He admitted many informative things. 1. They did not even order the part until two days after I authorized it. 2. Once installed and working, he admitted that he didnt actually know if the part was going to work and I was lucky that he was right. He claimed that he had told me that at the last visit. He did say, "You are lucky that it wasnt the .... (another problem),"implying to me that he knew it wasnt the other issue. Had he told me that it might not be fixed after ordering the other part and waiting 5 -7 days, I would have bought a new dishwasher instead of using his services. I relied on his expertise, which also includes telling me the likeliness of his diagnosis being incorrect. 3. Today he also admitted that he had told me 5-7 days for the new part. Today, I asked if it ever took longer than 5-7 days or was I the only one? He said yes, sometimes it took months to get a part. When he told me 5-7 days I expected it to be honest. I said that withholding that information, upon which I relied to make my decision to repair, was dishonest. He said that it was his job to say 5-7 days. "Thats what they tell me to say. Thats my job." In other words, he knew it could take months; he knew he was misinforming me; he didnt care; management didnt care. If it is management policy to lie or withhold truth, one should not deal with this company.

Outstanding quality for the price. Carters isnt a cut rate air conditioning contractor - they are first class all the way. You know the saying you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a cheap low quality repair place - click the back button now - Carters isnt for you. We are repeat customers having used Carters for our last two homes new heating and air conditioning systems. George worked with us both times. Since we wanted the same system in our new house. George didnt waste our time with the basics (we already knew them) he jumped right into explaining what improvements Carrier has over the last 5 years as well as convincing me to go with the new Infinity Air Cleaner. While George managed our project and assisted with the installation, much of the work was handled by two of his techs, Kiapo and Edger. They were both polite, respectful and good communicators, always wearing shoe booties inside without even being asked. After the installation George scheduled the duct leakage tests which we passed well below what code allows. Our second Infinity Greenspeed system has been installed for about 5 months now and has been flawless. No regrets on adding the air cleaner on, it makes a noticeable difference on the air quality. I have used Carter Services, whenever I require appliance repair, for 15+ years. Their repair technicians are competent and professional - and they go the extra mile. Heres are some examples: two of the knobs on my GE stove top became useless when the plastic stems cracked. When Scott delivered the new ones, he pointed out the design flaw that makes the knob stems so fragile and then he took the time to reinforce all of them - old and new - so that we would not have to replace them again any time soon. I feel like he treated my kitchen like it was his own... Wow! In December, Carter Services replaced parts of our Sub-Zero freezer that had been melted courtesy of a So. Cal. Edison power surge. When the freezer developed an annoying rattle in April, Scott came back and fixed the problem for free - 4 months later and there was no charge. This company continues to earn my business. Yes, repairs of any kind kick you in the wallet. But, I figure I am paying for the guys time, travel, gas, parts and expertise. And, lets not forget profit; its a business, not a church. If I could do the repairs myself, I would. But, I cant and so I turn to Carter Services.

Carters came out to repair furnace - the initial phone calls with Brianna and Denise were very polite with fantastic customer service skills! Richard came out to service it very promptly, explained everything thoroughly and gave very reasonable estimate without pressure.. He repaired it, double-checked all for safety and was so very pleasant to deal with. He also explained everything again after repair and said to call anytime with any questions or problems. Great experience - will always cal on Carter I am updating my review because my last few experiences with Carter were very unsatisfactory. Called them because heater was not working. Got quoted on price which almost doubled after the work. He replaced 2 different parts and next term I used the heater, same exact problem, no heat. Called them and they came out to tell me needs new circuit board now! And will charge almost $600.00 for this on top of the last 2 service calls for $1200.00 . Im very disappointed in this service and after decades of using them, I wont!!

The appointment was managed extremely well from the moment I called to describe my problem to the moment Winson left!! As promised, he called the night before to confirm the range of time he would arrive. I received an email reminding me of the time & a photo and name of who would be coming - nice security touch!! He was amazing - quickly diagnosed the problem, had the part with him and completely checked over my side-by-side GE Monogram refrigerator freezer. He was extremely neat and left no sign of the work done except the ice/water dispenser and ice maker were sparkling clean and working perfectly!! He was kind enough to help me with the proper coolness settings - saves electricity and $$$. Thank you Carter Service for employing such a wonderful resource - I will recommend to all my friends!!
