Everything was great....until I had to end my membership. After being a member for about 8 months, I wanted to end my membership as I got a new job with a gym onsite. I went in and talked to the guys at the front desk and asked about cancellation - where I was told it usually took about 30 days to process. I went home thinking it wasnt really an issue since when I signed up I paid for my first and last months membership fees. When I called the next day on the phone to confirm I wasnt going to be charged anymore, I was that I was incorrect. I was going to be charged in about 15 days and since it took 30 days to process my termination, I was going to be charged even though I was not even using the gym and had paid for my last month.....I couldnt believe it. I called multiple times next week to try and talk to Jon and see why on Earth I was going to get charged again. Every time I called Jon was busy and I was told he would call me back later that day, which never happened. I eventually went in to the gym and sat and waited for Jon to be available. Once I actually got to talk to him I thought everything was going to be fine...He said that he was really sorry for not getting back to me and that he was going to contact the billing folks the gym used to make a note to not charge me again. Jon also gave me his business card and told him to contact him if I had any other questions / concerns. Then several days later, there is the charge on my card, despite what Jon said. So again, I stupidly thought it was some mistake and e-mailed Jon. This is how that e-mail thread went: Me - 8/29 - ask about the charge and if theres something else I need to do Jon - 8/30 - says he will take care of it today and will e-mail me to confirm Me - 8/30 - never heard from him all day and asked for an update Me 9/3 - asked for an update again Me 9/6 - asked for an update again Me 9/11 - said I feel like I am getting shafted and was going to try and call my bank (too late on the charge though I found out) Jon - 9/12 - says he was out of town and will take care of today Me - 9/12 - say thanks and ask for a confirmation Me - 9/21 - say never got an update & charge is still there/never got a refund & and tell him I am going to be leaving reviews about my experience Jon - 9/24 - says he is refunding the charge and asks me to call him (yeah right) Me - 9.30 - just let him know its been 6 weeks since I came in and talked to him And now on 10/5 I am writing this review. Sad stuff. I am sure to a lot of people paying one extra month isnt a big deal, but it is to me. I Even worse that I was told it was going to get taken care of only to be toyed with for 6 weeks.

This place is pretty bad. We where members until abruptly we where told our last day is Aug 31st unless we can prove our contract is longer. Most people that signup here are only doing it for convenience and that will change as more health clubs come to Los Gatos. They magically lost all records for our membership and ended it in August 2015. Even though the new owners tool over early August and had opportunity to meet all the members, they waited until Aug 31st, and magically lost all there computers and records. Very convenient way to get rid of a lot of members at no charge (unless you can go prove you have a written contract). I can say that the club is disgusting regardless. The showers are not sanitary and the pool was never kept up to date. Our last day to visit the place was in Aug 2015 but until then the place was bad. Highly recommend finding another place for a gym. The gym is mostly patched up to continue operations. For the size of the gym and the pool, and the behind times shape of the interior, its amazing that customers are not treated better.

Its like having a Radio Shack TRS-80 when youve got a plethora of reliable, name brand computers to choose from. Why would you even bother? LGACs equipment is outdated, service is substandard, prices are way too high, amenities... none. If I had a DLorean that could go back in time in Los Gatos, say-1987, then I might go work out at this club if I had time between preventing my future parents from not marrying each other to keeping Los Gatos a nice, safe, clean place to live. Actually... Id probably just avoid LGAC altogether. Much ado about nothing. Nuff said.

I have started doing yoga about two months ago and am absolutely hooked. The instructors are all great! Each is a little different, but it makes for a great all around workout throughout the week. The staff are friendly and they just bought all new furniture for out by the pool. Very cool. About once a month, they organize a Community Run with prizes and snacks afterwards. They also recently purchased a fleet of new treadmills and stationary bicycles. I have never had any trouble parking, getting on a machine or having room in a class. Im staying!!

Been a member for over a year, and even though the place is run down and pool is usually dirty, it was convenient. With change to new membership, they require to set up an appointment in order to continue working out beyond sept 1. They never called and told me over the phone that I cannot work out until they call me... So I told them Im going to JCC, which has a clean world-class facility for less cost. They said thats fine... This place is silly, with an attitude undeserving of a place with crap facilities

I signed up and had my first workout today! Friendly staff, not too crowded, excellent facilities. The contract is month to month and they dont do that typical health club scam where they try to steal an extra month of dues when you leave. Price was lower than I expected too. Im thrilled to have found this place and apparently its only going to get better.

Spacious and scrupulously clean, friendly members and staff, all new equipment and innovative programs. My personal trainer, Laurie, is fabulous – psychologist, inspirational speaker, nutritionist, and trainer all in one.

Great employees! Great instructors! I hate to say this out loud but the classes are not crowded which is very nice. The remodel has been approved and will be very nice when completed. This is a very chill club. No egos!
