This gym is filthy and disgusting!!! All the equipment is sticky and/or out of order and trashes are always full. Bathrooms are like restrooms at parks. There is garbage ALL OVER the parking lot! A gym with this volume (downtown san jose) should be able to afford a cleaning service! And whats even worse is the staff knows of the filthiness and doesnt clean. Employees are always crowded in the front talking never cleaning. Im particularly pissed at the current club manager Mike. I went in to cancel because of the filthiness (even showing him pictures!) and he offered to refund me for the month saying they have a new cleaning guy starting. He asked that i email him these pictures which i did and i have no idea what he did with them bec that place is still filthy. So i received my refund only to be charged later in the month again for the membership. Ive been trying to reach him for weeks to get this resolved and hes never there. Figures. So my cc company ends up charging me $14 interest because of this ONE CHARGE ON MY ACCOUNT. AND OF COURSE THEY REFUSE TO REFUND ME. This company is a joke with horrible customer service!! As a club manager, you shouldnt be so negligent and keep your word especially when i did you a favor by sending you pictures! I was ready to leave and call it a day and i should have. But now i get to pay extra to cancel when the error is completely on 24hr fitness. Save your time and money (membership is extremely overpriced anyways, youre paying extra for convenience) and go to a gym that cares about your experience at the facility and doesnt have negligent managers and lazy employees, which is a reflection of management as well.

TL;DR The 3 days pass is a scam to get you to the facility to sale you membership. If you dont sign up for membership, they will use bogus company policies that are not on the fine print to deny your access. I stopped by this location with a friend to check it out before signing up for membership. I live in Sunnyvale; my friend lives in SJ and has their membership. When I told them I want to use the 3 day pass, he pass me to a guy name Zeb Gabnolia. Even though I straight up told the guy I just want to use the 3 day pass to try out the facility and had no intention to sign up for membership right away, he insisted to give me a tour which ends at his office. He then tried to get me sign up for membership again. I told him I cant sign up membership without even trying it out, he then said the 3 days pass only apply for local residents who have an address in SJ. He claimed it to be the company policy so I showed him the fine print of the 3 days pass that says the pass apply at multiple locations. He started reading the fine print and then point to "policy subjected to changes" claims its what prevented me from using the pass. At this point Im annoyed because I wouldnt even go to the facility if I knew there is such restriction. I think he is lying so I asked to talk to his supervisor to clarify the policy. He them claimed he is the membership manager and asked us to leave. Total waste of time. Bad customer service and deceiving sale tactics.

I have been a member for over 6 years and yes they have great group classes offered every day different times of the day and evening. The class instructors are exceptional. Yes they have a pool and offer kids day care service. They offer towel service provided they are ready when you get there. They have a juice bar that is actually very good. I have to wonder about it though. If they dont have even warm water to wash your hands off in the bathrooms how clean are the containers and machines. Hmm! Are they washed with hot water? They dont have hand dryers that work properly and some dont work at all. The gym is not maintained as it should. The spin bikes; most make loud noises which mean they need tuning or otherwise. They run out of paper-towels and hand sanitizer quite often in different locations throughout the gym. The womans bathrooms are disgusting and I have seen them this way as early as noon time and late as 6:30 PM. Understand this gym is busy but I have seen management come and go this is a direct reflection on the management at this site. Management should take pride in providing a healthy, sanitary place for customers to get fit as much as possible. With just a little TLC this gym could be 5 stars hands down.

I was a 24 hour fitness member 5 years ago. I wanted to try the super sports with a friend, who is currently a member. I printed out the 3 days trial and handed it to the sales. He gave me a tour, and sat down. He then gave me 3 types of memberships and asked me to pick one. I told him I wanted to try it out first before deciding. He actually said this. " You have been to the gym before, whats the different between a 5lb weight here then the 5lb weight at other fitness center. They are the same, you dont need to try. Besides, I cant sign you up for the trial because you have been a member [ 5 years ago at a regular 24 hour ] before." NOTE: The fine prints CLEARLY states, you can use the 3 day pass if you have not been a 24 hour fitness within the last 6 months. I guess these sales cant tell the differences between 6 months and 5 years. I am avoiding this 24 hour fitness and so should you. Try City Sports, or Fitness 19.

Other than this gym, I have tried 24 hour fitness in Florida and Washington DC area. Negatives: This one is definitely the dirtiest. There is always a strong smell of urine in men’s bathrooms. There is always a line to use the showers and the members take very long showers, which is different from other places. Wet towels empty shampoo bottles, and sometimes even underwear and razors are all over the shower area! There is just one centrifugal drying machine and it has been broken for more than 2 weeks and there is no plastic bag for wet clothes. On the membership side, even when they say you can bring a guest, you cant. They just want to make the guest sign up and the gym manager is rude. Positives: It is a large gym with good number of equipments It has a good size swimming pool There are good personal trainers in the gym but their service is expensive

As a Super Sport, this 24 has everything you should need. Power rack, squat rack, benches, dumbbells, etc. It even has things nobody needs, like that fake grass area. My favorite area is the room with the 4 power racks and bumper plates. Since they opened this, I find myself coming to this location often. Unfortunately, the mens locker room and sauna area are kept shockingly dirty. Its a mess. I dont understand how a super sport location with so many employees cant take turns mopping for a couple minutes each every hour or so. Apparently such work is beneath them. Not me. If they had a mop there and a bucket of soap, I swear Id spend a couple minutes cleaning myself before using the sauna. Since they dont I have to go all the way to the Fremont location.
