Training, working out, lifting weights, running, swimming, etc. I tried it all individually and just couldnt get myself to keep up the interest after a few weeks. CrossFit however has me hooked. The community, the coaches, everyone involved are fantastic and they keep you coming back. There are lots of CrossFit boxes (as they call the gyms) out there, and each have their own way of doing things. Some more individually, some only in class-form, some with very little coaching and some with "over-coaching". However, if you are interested in starting or doing crossfit, I would highly recommend choosing Cróga CrossFit. This box has extremely knowledgeable, friendly coaches as well as a great bunch of people who train there. Simply put, this is a fabulous community that all help and push you in your training! You are not judged on the how much you can lift or how fast you can go, but by the effort you put in. Rest assured, the coaches do their best to get you outperform what you THOUGHT was your limit. They use their knowledge and experience to get you do do the movements properly and efficiently. So, if you take the coaches advice and try and push yourself, your fitness will improve fast! When people finish a workout at the box, instead of leaving, they walk around encouraging other members to finish, which I feel sets this box aside from others as being pure awesome! Everyone there wants each person to improve as best they can. I could not see myself doing CrossFit anywhere other than here! Keep up the good work Cróga!!!

Croga is one of the few places that Ive ever been comfortable with. Ive been heavy all my life and every time I get started somewhere I end up quitting because Im either tired of the ridicule, or feeling judged about how I look when Im doing exercises, or hearing questions about why Im even there. I was really nervous about starting Crossfit and kept making the excuse about how I needed to lose weight to start it - then one day, I just sucked it up and emailed Dave. He convinced me that anyone can do Crossfit, and so I showed up to my first class and I loved it. Its still hard for me to stay motivated, even a year later - but when its been months and I havent been in and I feel guilty, no matter what members are there, and no matter whos coaching I feel supported. I hadnt shown up for about three months (excuses, excuses), and I was panicking over going back and I was nervous and almost didnt go - but my sister convinced me to go back and all I had to do was make it to the door to understand that I have nothing to worry about. I walked in and it was like I never left. They didnt ask where I had been, comment on how I look bigger, make me feel ashamed for not taking care of myself or eating whatever or what I thought was more important than showing up. The coaches and members at Croga make me feel supported and push me to want to be proud of myself.

Several years back I was a regular at my gym, working out 4-5 days a week every week. I never went near the barbells or benches, leaving that for the "guys" and sticking with my workout of elliptical, leg machines and dumbbells. After I had my first kid (over 4 years ago), I completely stopped going to the gym. I have been wanting to get back into shape, but didnt have the motivation to do it. My husband had been a member of Croga for almost a year once he finally convinced me to go. Like a lot of women, I was scared off by the thought of it and thought it was something just guys should do. I was wrong! I am now on my 3rd month as a member and really enjoy it. Its great motivation to have a coach training you during your entire work out, and to have a group of people going through the same work out as you. Coach Dave is great at teaching you proper techniques and never pushes you to do something you dont feel comfortable with (I definitely have a few adaptions in place for some of my workouts and thats totally okay). I would definitely recommend Croga to anyone interested in getting a great workout! And they even have a free introductory class - youve got nothing to lose!

Ive been working out for quite a while, and over the years Croga has been far and away my favorite place to exercise. The coaching staff is extremely knowledgeable and practically know the limits of your body better than you do; how far to push you, when you should rest, what kind of treatment and injury needs, and specific instruction about improving form. From a technical perspective, Ive been learning something new and pushing my body in a way I never knew it could move or how strong I could be just from the encouragement of the coaches and community. Community is so strongly emphasized at Croga that its impossible to leave without someone making you laugh. Ive had so much fun at all of the classes and been motivated by other people that I dread when I have to go workout solo. I cant thank Dave enough for creating that kind of environment. Even when I dont have any mental motivation to exercise that day, I still get a fantastic workout and get to spend time with charismatic and fun-loving people. Its really been a gift to be a part of, so thank you for that Croga! I cant even express how much I appreciate you guys!

I have been a coach at Croga for almost 3 years. I have trained and coached at several other gyms, but the community feel and the dedication Dave, the owner, puts into the gym is unmatched in my experience. Dave is continually looking for ways to improve the member experience and quality of coaching at Croga. Community events and fundraisers are frequent and support the tight knit and welcoming community. Although I have a full time job now and my schedule does not allow me to make it into Croga as much as I would like, I still continue to coach Wednesday evenings because the community and environment Dave has created at Croga is that great and I intend to continue to stay apart of it as long as I can.

Croga is awesome!! I went to a Crossfit in Pittsburgh, PA before I moved here to Cali and I quickly noticed that I learned more at Croga in less time than I had learned at my previous Crossfit. I am now able to lift heavier weight because I have proper form and I have really learned whats right and wrong in lifting. Coach Dave is an awesome coach and leader and his wife Kelly (they own Croga) is kind and strong. They make a great team and make you feel very comfortable. All of the coaches are fantastic. And the people who attend classes are some of the nicest, funniest, and hardest working Crossfitters you may ever meet! Definitely, check out Croga. I am so glad I did!

Finding the Croga family has changed our lives. We tried 5 other Crossfit gyms in the South Bay and were disappointed every time. At Croga you are not just another face in the crowd, you are a part of their awesome community and family. They push you to be the best you can be in and out of the box. Coach Dave ALWAYS has a smile on his face and will be your number one fan while working out. He has employed the best coaches who care not only about your workout but also your health and wellbeing. This box is truly a family and is such a positive place to come during the week. I cannot say enough about Croga... its just the best!
