I have two daughters at this studio and we love it! The studio welcomes all levels of dancers, from those who just want to try dance or take one class a week to those who are very serious. Their main focus is ballet, teaching excellent classical, contemporary and pointe technique. They also offer classes in different styles of dance including jazz, lyrical and tap, with sophisticated yet age appropriate choreography. Ballet at MPAOD follows the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) curriculum, and each year students have the option of taking the RAD ballet exam. My daughters began with introductory ballet classes. Each year, they have been motivated to take more and more classes, trying different styles of dance. We have found the teachers to be uniformly excellent and passionate about teaching. The environment created by the Director is challenging with high standards while also being supportive and caring toward the students. Students enjoy performing in “It’s a Wonderful Nutcracker” and in the year-end recital, and participating in the summer intensive, which is uniquely innovative. There are several students who have danced here for 10+ years for whom the studio is clearly like a second home. The school does a great job of identifying and developing talent, and generating well-rounded dancers. Advanced students have opportunities to perform with the associated professional Menlowe Ballet Company, with the award-winning competition team, and in the prestigious YAGP competition. Many dancers have gone on to join nationally renowned dance companies in recent years. They often assist with the younger students’ classes and are great role models. Overall, we could not ask for a better dance school for our daughters.

This is the place to go for your child to acquire great technique. Ballet classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum. Young kids to advanced students will be taught by very knowledgeable faculty. Helpers in the classes are more advanced students and little kids really enjoy having role models.

Awesome dance school that has been around for over 30 years. From children to adults, classical to lyrical. This place gives you a good education, but it also teaches young girls that your health comes first.
