I have also heard Miss Erika use language with the kids that surprised me. However, with a class of 12 3-year olds (as was the case with us), I think she needs to be no nonsense in order to control the class and teach the kids. What frustrates me more are the parents that completely turn a blind eye when their kids are out on the dance floor and not listening or distracting other kids. They dont seem to be disciplining their kids in any way at all that allows the class to run even remotely smoothly. If they arent going to, I think Miss Erika needs to, for the sake of all the other parents that have paid and kids that are interested in learning.

My 4 yr old has taken many ballet classes with Miss Erika at Laurelhurst Dance Studio and I rave about them to all my friends with kids. My daughter loves the class, loves Miss Erika and has a great time in the classes. I think she keeps the kids on task in an appropriate manner and have never experienced any non appropriate language or rudeness whatsoever. She even gives my kid a hug and kiss on the head and tells her what a good job she is doing. We will keep going back!

This is a great place to start taking ballet classes whatever age you may be. Although they only offer ballet for teens and adults, the teachers are great and the classes are flexible. Ive been taking ballet classes there for three years and the classes fit my need perfectly.
