So we were stuck in Covina and we needed a locksmith to change some locks at 2 AM. Go figure! We called several companies and received the run around. One locksmith actually said they would be at my establishment in 45 minutes. One hour later we called and the guy was still in Anaheim. REALLY? Anyway, we found Empire Lock and Key on the Internet and called them. Out of 8 companies we called Empire had similar pricing but they FOLLOWED THROUGH AND SHOWED UP ON TIME. The gentleman that showed up (I think his name was Luke) performed a change out and gave us two keys. He was done in 20 minutes. He tested everything twice to ensure everything worked properly. Due to the horrible service in the "24 hour locksmith" community I felt compelled to write this review. The service was impeccable, the price was reasonable, Luke was knowledgeable and fast. If you are looking for a professional company, this is the place. I found out from Luke they do car keys too. I will be using this company from this point forward. What I am really trying to convey is Empire Lock and Key is a diamond in the rough.

I was locked out of my apartment which I am very upset about because while my apartment has maintenance on site that can open your apartment they force you to call a locksmith in order to help you out. luckily the locksmith from empire & key was very nice. he came to my apartment about 15 minutes since I called. I had never called a locksmith before so I was in for quite a surprised when I found out how much I was going to pay, but the locksmith was nice enough to give me a discount. It was still a little pricey, but luckily I was able to get into my apartment without him having to drill into the knob and change it entirely. Overall, it was a good experience, but make sure that you have the money to spend in case emergencies ever happen to you like this.

Never call these guys. Its a shady operation. You call one guy and he gives you a price and then he has another guy call you who doesnt want to work for the same price the first guy quoted you already. Overall super shady business. Would never trust them as a locksmith
