Though I often tend to be skeptical of the reviews for Locksmiths I looked up Locksmith San Diego and found Busy Bees. Other Locksmith companies quoted me $19 and up! Im glad I found Jerry here as I highly recommend him and his company! I called him in the morning and we set a 2 p.m. appointment. When I arrived home at precisely 2, his truck was already there. Jerry quickly took apart our front door lock, diagnosed the problem, and within 20 minutes had it fixed. At my request, Jerry also quickly checked out and lubricated our other house locks. Instead of having me purchase a new front door lock which would have cost triple the $55 service call Jerry explained the problem, repaired the lock and generously made me 4 new house keys. We had a very pleasant conversation; in addition to being very capable, Jerry is also a very nice guy! I like that his business is local, family owned and operated. Whenever I need a Locksmith in San Diego I will always use this company for my Locksmith.

I had some duplicate house keys made at my local Home Depot. Only one of the five worked at all and even that one only if it was inserted "just so". Took them back and had them recut. None of those worked either. After that frustration I opted to go to an actual locksmith. Found Busy Bees while looking for a shop near my work. Swung by on my way home and they cut 8 keys for me in less time than it took Home Depot to cut 5 (not even counting the time to find someone to operate the machine at Home Depot and get it set up). All 8 work as flawlessly as the original. VERY pleased with the friendliness and quality of service. Price was extremely reasonable as well. THANK YOU for alleviating the frustration my experience at Home Depot left me with and allowing me to finally get this item successfully checked of my "to do" list!

In January I bought a NEW lock from a box store that just stopped working. I didnt know who to call until I read all the great reviews below about Busy Bees. Jerry showed up within the hour and fixed the problem. I just experienced the same problem yesterday with my obviously defective lock and call Busy Bees again today. Jerry was here the same day to look at the problem. I bought a new lock and had him it installed. Knowing I had purchased a bad lock he finished the install and with a smile he said "Youre all set. Just call me in the future when you need something else." Not only does Jerry offer great customer service, but hes a nice guy. I lost the only key to my Lexus in Mission Bay and thought I was done for. After a tow back to the house and much careful research, I decided to give my business to Busy bees. Why? They were the only shop willing to work with my unique situation, they had the best price as well as tons of great reviews on Yelp and Google. I am SO glad I let busy bees help me out. My new Lexus key works PERFECT every time in every door. It is a laser-cut key and not something you can get made at home depot, so I was a little nervous about having a new key in a car with 200K miles. Long story short, their service was excellent, fast and the lowest price in town. They are the only call you need to make.

What I love the most about Busy Bees Locks & Keys is their attention to detail, honesty and professionalism. I also like that it is a family business and everyone involved in the business really feels proud to be a part of it. They have done work for me before, but most recently installed a gate lock and rekeyed all the house locks so that just one key worked in everything -- down from 3! Thanks to a top-notch team with a real old fashioned work ethic. I recommend their business without reservation. 11/15/2013 - My original review still stands. This company continues to provide outstanding service, extremely fair prices and the comfort of knowing you are dealing with honest people.

We truly would recommend this company to anybody! We had called another company that sent a technician that had no clue. He tried for an hour to unlock an office door with my dog inside and was unsuccessful. When we called Busy Bee, Jamie was not only prompt in getting here but also very efficient and knowledgeable. She unlocked the door in about 5 min. despite having to work at it due to the damage done by the previous technician. This company was also very fair with the cost. Stephanie at Busy Bees provided me excellent service today. I came in to get a copy of my car key, which provided a lot of issues in duplicating. She was very patient and stuck with it, making sure she got it just right. She had to go back to the machine multiple times to make sure the key worked smoothly in my very old cars door. Overall, it probably took her about 20 minutes to duplicate the key (due to the age and wear if the key). I think most people wouldve given up.

When my 14-year-old Toyota ignition key misbehaved, I turned to Busy Bees for help. They were knowledgeable, proposed a solution, and had a backup plan in the event things didnt go as expected. I was locked inside my house. I had loaned my key to someone and they had locked the door when they went out. They werent coming back until the end of the day. My door locks are the ones that need a key both from the inside and outside. I called Busy Bees and they had a technician here promptly. He was efficient, courteous, and had the door unlocked quickly. I could not have asked for better service.

Locked myself out of the house, and my neighbor helped me call them. After 6 agonizing rings, a pleasant man answered and promptly came to the house in about 20 minutes. It took him a little while to pick the locks, but he didnt lose patience and eventually got in, and it only cost $80. He could have charged me anything he wanted, but he didnt. So grateful for the friendly, quick service!

These guys are by FAR the :) BEST Locksmith I have ever done business with. When I write this simply because it is the TRUTH ! ! My experience was with a broken car door lock and NO remote key to bail me out .. Theyre a family owned business that helped me to internet services while my car was parked safely & fixed properly the FIRST time :) .. ! Definitely recommended !
