I write this in the hope that reading it will steer people clear of this profoundly lacking shop. The have no master tech and as a result I was forced to make multiple trips (12 in 14 months) and cover rental car costs for a period of almost two months while they rebuilt the transmission several times and fixed repeated leaks and other issues. They damaged other parts of my vehicle and their inability to properly fix my vehicle left me stranded several times on the way to work. The vehicle actually caught fire on the freeway when fluid leaked all over the exhaust manifold and ignited. I was forced to seek reimbursement by calling the state BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair) and lodging a formal complaint against their shop. While we did agree on a reimbursement figure that was more than they wanted to pay and less than I deserved, the process to that end result was unbearable and full of argument. In the end I only accepted the amount to offset the cost of taking the vehicle somewhere else to have it fixed correctly. The state BARs comment to me concerning the amount of reimbursement was, and I quote, "We are here to enforce the laws, we do not however, enforce competence." If you are seeking competence, seek it elsewhere.

I just want everyone to know in the city of Pasadena, that the owner of this AAmco is the Best. Robert still looks out for his customers needs. I have a 1995 Olds Aurora that had some computer issue I thought, after he told me that he ran some test with the computer and it was bad I went bought a New one for him to put in. after he in stalled the new computer some of the problems were still there. he then went thru to find out that the wiring harness had some issues and needed to replace. the harness was not available so he took it among himself to repair the harness for me. this is a very time consuming task. after that was done he called me and told me my car is fixed and is running like it was when it was Brand New . I dont that there is anyone else that would have put in the Extra effort with out just telling me I cant fix it or charging me a stupid amount to fix it. Robert thank you so Much!!!

I am happy to give this AAAMCO location a 5 Star rating . Very professional and experienced in a wide range of areas and inclusive of a wide range of vehicles. I brought in my 2004 BMW 325i w/ 84,000 miles with a loss of power . It was rapidly diagnosed and repaired . Now my vehicle runs like new with excellent smooth shifting and full power to spare. An Enterprise rental is less than a block away , within easy walking distance . The pricing for repairs was very reasonable and owner proprietor is extremely knowledgeable as well as friendly and professional. I recommend this shop to anyone in need of repairs to powertrain , transmissions or electrical systems. A happy customer .I will bring all my cars here, Steven Foerster

On Jan 22, 2015 you gave us this review: 5.0 /5 Came in to Aamco really nervous about my car problems. These guys took great care of me with free diagnostic to let me know what the problem was. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rob took his time and explained to me what was going on, then went through a general course of action on how they were going to fix it. Nathan was the mechanic who treated my car as if it were his own. This is the type of service which gave me confidence that my vehicle was in good hands. I was very upset when my car finally went down and I needed a new transmission. I was quite upsetting considering the cost was more then my car is worth, but I cant afford a new car so I bit the bullet and did the repair. It took a little longer then expected but I got a new car when I pulled out of that lot. My car is running great and feels better then it has in 2 years.....rebuilt tranny & new clutch for $1800 but now my car should live for another 3 years!!! Ask for Robert he wont rip you off, he is very upfront and honest.

Aamco is my trusted Michanic they can fix everything and on any car. I brought my N/O Mazda mx6 And I told them to just get it started and they did. I brought them my 66 ford f100. I asked them to change the oil pump and breaks the job was done quickly and I was amazed at how much they charged. It was a lot cheaper than I had expected and the truck sounds great. Im very pleased with their service and I hope many others are as well. Ask for Rob hes the best!

Dealer told me $4500.00 for my BMW then I called AAMCO and they did my transmission lot less then that. promised in 4 days but did in two days. My car was done 6 months ago and works grate. I told to every body in my office and two my coworkers fixed theirs after that. Thanks to them they are very professional. Lisa M.

This Aamco location has been my go-to mechanic since I moved to Pasadena. I’m always very nervous about car problems but staff here are friendly and reassuring. They find the problem and repair it quickly, typically the same day. Prices are very reasonable as well. I will definitely keep coming back. Thanks Aamco!

Although at first I had a complaint with this shop, I will give credit that the owner is very cooperative in wanting to resolve any issues. He responded to my initial complaint and we came to an agreement. Im very happy that the owner was willing to work with me to make me satisfied.

I had the best professional service at this site. Theyre constantly busy, but the turnover is expected because of the quality service provided. Not only did Robert fix my car, he restored my confidence in mechanics. I would totally recommend him to anyone who has car trouble.

Thanks for all your help. The Honda has not missed a beat since the throttle body was cleaned. Pulled the 5th wheel to Twenty Nine Palms and the truck did not even think of over heating since the repairs on the cooling system. The caddy is also running well. Thanks again!

I think the service is great, but I have an issue with the pricing. It has consistently been more expensive then the verbal quoted price for service. Even after the "discount" that I am given I pay considerably more than expected. I need upfront and honest pricing.
