I didnt mind spending 3 hrs in their office and having to interview and test, I expected that and any good agency will do it. My problem with Apple One in Pasadena is that their contract and materials and representatives say their goal is to place you in a permanent position, help you achieve your goals and are truly interested in finding long term employment if thats what youre looking for. The truth is far from that, they are only interested in placing you anywhere they can to get you working and making money for them. PERIOD. They are not concerned about your goals or what youre truly looking for like they pretend and preach to be. I was clear with them that I was looking for long term employment but would work temporary assignments in the meantime. I have extensive experience and good references so Im not expecting a miracle here. They found me a lame assignment which I accepted to prove my abilities and keep income coming but I kept contacting them about permanent employment. Once I was placed in this assignment I rarely received a call back or response to my emails inquirinig about permanent employment. They would not even tell me how long the assignment would last and also presented the temp job as a possible long term (i believe to lure you in) when in reality once on the assignment you find out from the hiring company it is clearly a temporary project, once its done, its over. No insurance, no PTO, no support. Wendy Nelson runs the office and shes very nice and sweet when you meet or talk to her, but once you leave or hang up the call, she forgets you, she has alot on her plate and you are the last thing on her mind. It took almost a month for them to get my direct deposit set up because the person who processes the direct deposit submitted the wrong info to their payroll processor, just poor organization, poor communication, poor ethics, how can an agency so lacking be able to find good employees or employers? Theyre just not the professional staffing agency they say they are. I would give them a higher rating if they would be up front and say exactly what they offer and not trick you into thinking they are actually going to help you in your journey. I had more luck searching online (monster, craigslist, careerbuilder, etc) and you can negotiate a better salary if you go direct because youre not having to give Apple One a big cut of your pay. If youre just looking to fill a position and bring in money and not worried about long term then this can work for you. If youre like most people who are looking for a career, stability and to suceed, skip this place, youre wasting your time.

Quality is POOR. A couple years ago I too interviewed with Wendy Nelson at the Pasadena Apple One office and just like the previous reviewer here she gave this speech about how good my resume is and my test scores are high and so they should have no problem finding work for me so I thanked her and left the office....and never heard from her again. I called and left voicemails checking for openings an she didnt return my calls. I emailed...she didnt respond. Eventually I called the manager and requested a change of Rep. They seemed offended...but I got assigned another one. That person promptly went and ignored me too. I had similar experiences at the Burbank Apple One as well. At that office I was requested to come in for a specific position...but when i got there...I was told that the position was not actually available. Both offices wasted my time. Whats also a waste of time is that each office will make you fill out all the paper work and test again even though you just did it for the other office. Ive come to the conclusion that their general purpose is to get you in and signed up just so they can show the company that theyre working...and thus get paid. Maybe not the commission they get for actually getting a person a job...thus..the more the merrier. If I sound like a disgruntled worker whos just complaining because he didnt get a job when in actuality his attitude, resume and low test scores are the culprit...Im not. My personality and attitude have never been an issue, my resume is strong for any clerical position and my test score were then and are now in the 90s. Its just that no agency has frustrated me like they did.You go in seeking help, they take up your time...give you false hopes...and then turn their backs on you. I imagine that if youre looking for a job and you come in contact with either of these offices, youre gonna talk to them anyways... ....But dont say you werent warned.

I would highly recommend going to this AppleOne in Pasadena. My account executive is Estelle Lopez and she is absolutely lovely and incredibly professional. I know that when I work with her, she is doing everything she can to support me in my goals. Bottom line, if you have marketable skills they will find you a job. If you have gone to any temp agency you would know that to be tested in the full MS Office package takes time. Average time with testing, applications, and interview takes about two hours. I went in, tested and it was absolutely worth my time. Estelle found me a wonderful job and since then I have recommended others to both AppleOne and Estelle.

Appleone is awsome! Sandra has been my contact and she is realy kind and she is real attentive. She is always calling me with job opportunities, she has gotten me two interview in the past two weeks. Landed one so far to work at a Dr.s office. She realy liked my work ethics and wanted to help me out. She even offered one of my contacts a chance to find work if she ever needed it. It seems as if they get alot of clients that are looking for hard working individules, and if you are one of them I am sure they can help you, like they are helping me. I would definitely continue coming back to this temp agency for more work. It makes finding work alot easier.

I am looking for work still it’s been over a year but that is not the sad part of the story. What is the sad part is that others will go to Apple one hoping to find work and they won’t. What you do at Apple One is call in everyday between 8-9am to let them know your availability. Well I have called in over 100 times since I have been signed up and they can’t even get a minimum wage job something is fishy with this place. And when you call and ask them they just tell you to keep calling in. I even updated my resume, I am really frustrated with finding a job. If you’re looking for work don’t go here.

I consistently get work from different representatives out of this office for over 6 years. When I connect with a new rep and am seeking work I dont sit around for them to call me. I check in weekly and when I am placed I go above and beyond. I am placed in positions making $20+/hr and that is right along the lines of what I make when I get full time employment on my own. Not to mention the interviews I am sent on. If you knew better youd do better. Have a super grand day!!!
