First of all, @Andrew, this is a freaking GYM, not a sports bar. If you come to the gym to watch TV, then youre doing something wrong. Not to mention there are little TVs attached to every treadmill, bike and elliptical on the second floor with a wide array of channels. Reported. @Brenden, do not post a review of a place you havent been to because of something someone else told you. Thats unfair and biased. Why dont you just ask her to write a review? Reported. Okay, onto my actual review... I saw the legitimate negative reviews, and from what it looks like, management took notice and did something about the cleanliness issues. In my six months here, I havent noticed any mold in the pool area or the locker room. Overall the place is pretty clean. The staff is friendly. In my experience theyve been patient and helpful. There are many options here for a good workout. A small-ish (3 lane) pool, an entire floor of cardio machines, tons of free weights, an entire room of spin bikes, a basketball court, plenty of resistance machines... if youre looking to change up your work out every day of the week, you could definitely do so here. I pay $50/month for my membership that includes a free guest pass every time I come in, which I think is pretty reasonable! And they include a free session with a personal trainer, but thats pretty standard it seems. Ive paid a lot more for a lot less at other gyms. This is the best gym Ive ever joined, hands-down. I like it here, and if youre looking for a a gym to join, I highly recommend their free trial, which is what sold me.

We left City Sports for a lot of reasons. The mold in the locker rooms and pool area was excessive and never seemed to be important enough for management to care for, ants were frequently crawling all over the mats, and customer service was almost non-existent . We finally decided to quit and get a membership at another gym. We closed our account and moved on with life. Turns out they just froze our account, but told me it was closed. They continued to take money from our checking account and when I called them about it, the Operations Manager, Tyler accused me of lying and informed me I was wrong. He offered no help in fixing the situation and I had to spend the next 45 minutes on the phone with the corporate office to get anyone to listen to me. Overall, I am pretty disappointed with my experience.

Hello. I worked here at City Sports Club as the Janitor and I would have to say it was one of my more enjoyable jobs. Always something to clean and to do. :) The management here is spectacular, Tyler is really sweet and I truly enjoyed him as my manager. One of my favorite managers Ive ever had! Also, theres tons of workout equipment here. Its a very enjoyable place to be at with many awesome people. Love all the teachers and the swimming pool too. People are usually very nice and will offer half their lane for you to swim in if its too crowded. Great atmosphere and a top spot gym. Highly recommend it. :)

Good gym. Nice people. Great equipment. Clean. Go in off peak times and it is all yours! Ive been a member of many clubs in many cities. Would be nice to have an indoor track. But, N. Bay area clubs dont. All clubs including in San Diego have indoor tracks. Great for heat waves and cold rainy days plus better on the knees & joints . But, none in Marin or Sonoma. City Sports is a good little gym. It has a nice indoor pool too.

Great Gym and Great Facility! But 2 Stars for the terrible customer service on the employees end. I put in a notice to cancel a membership for the "take-a-friend" program and it wasnt canceled on the employees end. They charged me for 4 months that I didnt even use it. Next time they, need to be sure to take notes on request of cancellation.

In Petaluma they have stopped showing local Giants or Warriors games. Dont know if its because Comcast Sports wont provide the shows or what. Cant get a straight answer from them. Will probably change clubs if they dont straighten this out.

Pros: Great staff, clean, inexpensive, a good variety of free weights and machines, sauna, lap pool, and hot tub. Cons: No towel service and few classes. Overall: Cant be beat for the price, but definitely not a fancy gym.

This gym is just as bad as LA Fitness. Once you are in the system you are treaded as nothing more than a barcode. I absolutely hate the atmosphere at this gym. It smells of desperation and dirty socks.

Staff are friendly, approachable and interactive! Wonderful lay out, nice equipment, and the other members are nice too. Great work out environment.
