I was a loyal customer for many years with Precision Auto Repair. I have recommended this place to all my family, relatives and friends. Everyone really enjoyed the services provided by Precision until recently. Let me tell a few true stories: 1. Calling for a transportation service to pick my car that was serviced a day before - A guy told me that as soon as the driver came back, he will be on the way to my place. I keep calling the guy (Tyler) every half hour and told him I have to host a meeting at 10:00 am in my company. Three hours late, the driver came. 2. After fixing wiring problem of spoiler by Precision (with Bob) a month late, back light is off with warning sign on, they replaced bulbs but warning sign is always on. Came back many many times, they fixed this last time and forget screw the carpet back in the trunk. This is with Tyler. 3. After replacing timing belt with them, the cruise control is not working, wheels are lost balance and anther thing (forgot). They fixed one and always say can't repeat others. I have fixed those with BigO. This is with Tyler. 4. After changing machine Oil and rotate tires at Precision,the special socket used to fasten those special nuts is gone. Of cause, this was noticed three months late. my fault. This is with Tyler. Enough is enough, I was their fun and dislike. Now I am going to rate them "hated it".

I had to keep my van overnight to have some major service done to it. Precision were kind enough to provide me with a loaner van. Problem was I had forgotten that I had left the team banner for my sons soccer team in the trunk of the van that was in for service and of course the team picture was that same weekend. Realized my booboo way too late and the shop had already closed for the weekend. I called the shop afterhours and left an urgent voicemail for someone to call me back and let me pick up the banner. I decided making alternate plans like getting a blank poster board and improvisiing a new team banner all with the thought that I would not get a call back from precision. Lo and behold, I get a call from Tyler at 8 PM the same night saying he got my message and that he would be up bright and early on a Saturday and meet me at the shop to pick up the banner. That was going above and beyond and truly one of the traits of a business that cares for its community. On behalf of coach susanne and ray and all the members of the Rampage Soccer U12 team, thank you Tyler and Precision Auto. You guys Rock !

Very bad service and a lousy shop handled by two idiots who are incapable of communicating with their customers. I would not recommend this shop to my enemy. Wanted to charge 1200 for what I was quoted at a shop down the block for 500. Started arguing with me when I mentioned the disparity in price and would not explain the results of the diagnosis that I PAID AND ASKED THEM TO DO. Do not deal with these people. No matter what high-rating they may have gotten in the past, they do not currently deserve anyones business. When dealing with these guys, they talked to me as if explaining to me what they did was beneath them. In addition, their service in horrible. I went to drop off my car at their location and requested to be notified when it was ready. I did not receive a call and was placed on hold/hung up on several times. Dont go by their awards. These awards were merited to the OLD OWNERS. not the current ones, the two idiots that currently run this location do not deserve any awards.

My Prius dash lit up like a xmas tree the other night in Oakland so I knew I needed to have it towed to Precision in Pleasanton. Theyve taken great care of my Prius and my Honda Prelude for years and I trust them completely. They confirmed that my ten year old hybrid battery had finally gone bad and Kevin asked if I was sitting down for the estimate since the battery alone costs over $2000. Thankfully, Kevin worked with me as a long time customer and gave me a very fair deal and they had my car up and running the next day. They even helped coordinate with another tech to replace my windshield on their property because I had that appointment scheduled a month earlier. Precision, I am so grateful for your amazing customer service and high quality work!

These guys HATE modified/lowed cars. My car is lowered and as a result they said they will not work on it. Every other shop Ive taken the car too does not mind. I recently asked them to fix an oil leak on the back of the engine. They did only 1 of the two seals that are located there and then told me they wouldnt do the second seal and they just gave me my money back. Another time I had them do the drive-shafts on my car. Neither worked properly and would make horrendous noise when going around a turn under throttle. I had to fix the parts myself and replaced them with proper used OEM units instead of the rebuilt FEQ units they used. Ever since I replaced them myself they have worked perfectly.

My first time to their shop was yesterday. Very impressed with Kevins professionalism and the look/feel of the whole shop. They did everything I asked for, that was expected. But I just casually mentioned some noise coming from under my truck and Kevin said they would take a look. What I didnt say is that my Toyota dealers service department had tried twice to locate the source of the sound (and charged me for looking) but couldnt figure it out. In no time Kevin called to say they found the problem. The fix was simple and inexpensive. Turns out the noise was due to some incorrect service by the dealer in the first place. I know where Ill be going!

I have used Precision Auto for my girlfriends Lexus RX350 twice now and have always been impressed with the service. They offer clear quotes for service and will not perform extra work unless the owner authorizes the work. The time quotes for service were very accurate and the price has always been better than any dealership. I have taken other vehicles to discount oil changers before only to find poor workmanship and have always questioned the job being done correctly. The work done by Precision Auto has always been complete and reliable.

My family and I have been going here for more than 15 years. Tyler, Ben, and Kevin are the most customer centric advisors in the business. They are very personable, knowledgeable, and straight forward. Most importantly, you can trust every dollar of repair and maintenance is necessary and completed with highest level of integrity. They are one of the few places left in thebay area that make you feel like you are doing business 40 years ago in a more simple time where customers were apprecated and service had integrity.

Once again Precision Auto Repair came through with flying colors! I found out in the morning that my daughters were planning to take our old van on a long road trip to Arizona. I called Kevin and he was able to get our van in for an oil change and inspection the same day. I felt much better knowing the girls were traveling in a car that had been serviced by Precision Auto. Ive been taking various cars to Precision since 1984, and Ive never experienced anything less than 5 star service. Thank you!
