We put our three children in A Secret Garden Daycare in January because she seemed like she really had it together. She was very nice and our kids felt at home immediately. She was also able to work late so I could go to school, which was very helpful and important to me. I ended up having the worst experiences at this daycare. My husband would come home and tell me that she never had anything good to say about the day, it was always petty complaints. Before I go on, a little backstory: My kids are 11, 7 and 2. We have never had a problem with their behavior anywhere or with anyone. In fact, its just the opposite. We always hear how well-behaved they all are so it was surprising to hear that my husband was getting constant complaints. Then I started getting the complaints too: "Shes constantly picking her nose" and "she keeps saying everything is mine". Okay, were talking about a two-year old. Of COURSE she picks her nose and of COURSE she says mine. Come to find out from the older kids that my children were punished on a regular basis for playing with toys. I wish I were kidding. Common sense says that if you dont want a child to play with a certain toy, put the toy out of reach. Rather than moving the toys (which, in this case, were puzzles) my kids got punished repeatedly: The 2-year old for playing with them and the older two for being her siblings. The owner of this "business" even went so far as to take a picture of my two year old sitting on the floor crying and texted it to me at work. Who does that?! I put in my two-week notice immediately, telling her that it didnt seem like my kids fit into her idea of a daycare and got nothing but attitude afterward. Our contract came to an abrupt end in March when she called me at 10:00 am on a Monday to tell me that my son keeps playing with a ball in the house and the ball is an outside toy. Umm...then put the ball outside? But rather than doing the obvious, she quit on the spot, leaving us high and dry. Good to know that contracts dont mean squat to you. Real professional. All of these issues in two short months. No thanks. I worry about the other children in her care. Those who are too young to speak up. One thing I heard a lot from family and friends: "Just because theyre not being hit doesnt mean theyre not being abused."

My 2 children currently go to A Secret Garden Daycare and I could not be happier. ASGD is a small in home daycare where the kids are fed healthy meals, given individual attention and love, and cared for in a safe environment. I have a very random schedule so my pick up times can sometimes vary. I have shown up unannounced on numerous occasions and am always pleased with the attention and care the children are receiving. My 3 year old has excelled since being in Ms. Singhs care. He has learned so much since starting at ASGD and is constantly coming home telling me about everything he learned that day. He has been very slow to potty train and Ms. Singh has always been consistent and patient with him. He has come a long way with her help! My almost 2 year old is always happy at drop off and pick up. She has always been very shy, but has come out of her shell so much since starting at ASGD. They love going to Ms. Singhs! I am never worried or have doubts when my children are at ASGD. I highly recommend A Secret Garden Daycare to anyone looking for a daycare provider!

Fantastic place for kids to learn new things. It is recommended for parents who are looking for loving, emotional and caring environment for their kids. Ms Singh is an awesome caregiver. My son had anger issues and was not doing well in his pre-school. He needed a place where he could get personal attention and someone who could change his behavior.I appreciate Ms Singh efforts of working on my son and improving his habits. Earlier my son showed no interest in learning but now he can proudly read and recognize all the alphabets. Ms Singh came up with creative ways like using puzzles and other fun activities which made him more interested in learning. The best part is that Ms Singh keeps me up to date with my sons progress which comforts me that he is in good hands!!!
