We were virtually turned around today as new customers. We came for the 1st time on Monday (07/31/2017) and had a tour with the guy Javier. The tour was ok and he even gave us 2 passes for free to use for the 1st time. Today we came already dressed to sign up for one month trial (around 4-5 pm) and the girl at the desk didnt let us in. It turned out we had to have checking and routing numbers of the checking account ready(nobody told us about that). I told her about free passes we had and also offered to pay with the credit card and the checking account info to bring tomorrow (she saw I had a box with the new shoes I just bought in Marshalls). The female employee was talking very rude and wasnt pleasant at all. She was closed to all option and offered the worst service I ever experienced. We were turned around - "to come tomorrow with the checking account number". I already flushed their free passes down the toilet and signed up with another club. The Fitness Planet lost two guaranteed customers on the spot just because of the awful service of its employee. Way to go...

Its a great value for your money. Decent mid-sized (around 200,000 square feet) gym. It is more aptly called a gym rather than a "club". They say they are cheaper ($10 and $20 monthly memberships) because they dont have the liability that comes with extras that some clubs have. They dont offer child care or have a pool, spa, sauna or sport courts for example. They dont have every single cable or leverage machine but they have enough along with a respectable amount of free weights for the vast majority of people. Its like most places they have a lot of under used cardio equipment taking up half the place. They do have some silly rules like; "no grunting", "no dropping weights", "no dew rags", "no gallon water bottles", "NO PHONES OR MOBILE DEVICES" etc. I give it five stars not because its the best but its the best value. Where else can you have access to all this equipment for $10 a month? I recommend them to anyone who wants an affordable place to workout. Oh and they are month to month so you arent locked into any multi-year contracts like other places.

So first off, I work out in the late evening, were talking 10pm to 12am sometimes 2am. This is when management needs to step in. Im one for helping out the homeless. Some people just got dealt a bad hand. On multiple occasions Ive come into the locker rooms to find homeless men showering or just sleeping in the changing room. The shower area fn smells horrible and on two occasions Ive seen a syringe and a needle. Homeless people just walk right in and stay in the bathroom. How do they come in? The late guy is sleeping in the side office with the door shut. Ive seen people go and knock on the door to have him come out stretching and yawning saying why did you wake me up. I liked coming here because of the hours, but I have to cancel this. People using in the bathrooms late at night while the staff is sleeping. To the managers, you are just waiting for something bad to happen there where someone gets hurt or god knows what else.

A friend invited me to go with her and its the best invitation Ive had. We go at 6-7 in the morning on Saturdays and Sundays, and 1 day during the week and let me tell you, thats the best time, you have awesome freedom of access to all the available machines. I absolutely love the "30 Minute Workout" station... (and my husband tells me I should just walk around our property for 30 minutes)... ludicrous I say... this station is not only for my cardio but for toning my muscles and I dont get that just walking around my property. I strongly recommend it for those that are serious about their health, not just to look good. This place has my utmost respect.

Great gym for the price! Very cheap with no annual contract. I took advantage of their military discount which cut my membership fee down significantly. The equipment is clean and well maintained. They have a large verity of cardio equipment and weights. The staff is always friendly and professional. I had an issue with my billing when I first signed up and they handled it quickly and professionally. Although the locations is not in the best area. the parking lot is well lit with a security guard on duty at night. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking for an affordable gym without any long term commitment!

Great location, and low cost however, in the past three months have been frustrating. Ive encountered people sitting on the equipment for long periods of time texting or talking on their phone, and the lack of consideration by NOT WIPING down the equipment after using. I find this a health and safety issue, since this facility DOESNT like to turn on the air conditioner. It is hot and stuffy with no air circulation in the weight area. This gym was great when it first opened. Im seeing a fast decline in the cleanliness of this facility. I will say there are a couple of employees that are friendly and professional.

I have been a member at this gym since January 2015 and there has been nothing but problems. The end result was posting a payment even after the payment had been made which caused a major problem with my account. When I call the gym, the staff person I spoke to was extremely unhelpful and rude (which I find most of the staff is) and when I asked her to leave a message for the manager her response was that I would have to call back the next day if I wanted to speak to someone. The membership is inexpensive, however, the aggravation is not worth it.

I really like working out here, but seems like cleaning is less and less frequent (especially the bathroom). Im usually here early morning and Chad does a very good job cleaning, but other than that, its getting worse and worse... Ive seen 3 roaches while working out this morning and told an employee there and he said there are traps behind the counter so knows that they have roach issue. Management needs to get involved real soon here or this place will become a dump like another planet fitness around Sacramento.

Its a good facility in a reeeeaaaallll shabby place. Close to light rail station. High crime area. The thing is for me, my workout is a positive release of negative energy. When the facility has to employ an armed guard during daylight, there is just a negative vibe hanging over it. Now this Sunday closure because of an "incident" ...bad juju... I chose to live in this area to avoid a commute. But when even workouts get interrupted by this garbage. Ugh. Time to move. Rancho Cordova is just not a good place.

Love the gym but staff is hella rude and doesnt know much manager never there for all the several billing errors they create and DNT refund and then they continue to charge you after your contract is met unless you call which is BS too me and a way to get peoples money and lastly please buy prepaid card to use for them they secretly keep ur card numbers and run your premium from them without permission when ur card you approved declines cant wait for a better gym to come out
