If I could give negative stars, I would. The training management system there is a complete JOKE. I had training sessions, so I started with a female trainer. I actually liked her. I went for about 5 sessions, then I didnt hear from her nor did I see her at the gym. A month later I find out shes no longer training and inside doing classes. No one cared to tell me, or transition me to a different trainer. It took me another 2 months to find a new trainer, which took me constantly hounding the training manager who was more interested in hitting on me then finding me a trainer. I was assigned a new trainer who was also really nice. I only had 5 training sessions left so I bought more. Well, 5 sessions into it my trainer leaves Crunch. No one tells me (again). After a month of not hearing from him I come to find he left. It took me 3 months to even have someone call me back to set me up with a trainer. The training manager, Craig, is the worst manager Ive ever met. He clearly doesnt know a thing about customer service. I wanted a refund, and was told he was the one to ask. He promised to "call me with an update" and never would. Id come into the gym and hed have people tell me he was "out to lunch, but hed call me after" I waited for hours, and heard nothing. So finally I did what any smart human would do. I had my fiance call and leave a message for Craig saying that he was a small business looking to purchase some training sessions for his employees. What do you know... Craig called back within an hour, but I answered the phone. SURPRISE!

ALL VETERANS BE WARNED...Today crunch displayed one of the worst examples of corporate greed Ive witnessed in many years. We recently had a USMC combat vet and employee take his own life. In order to deal with this tragedy, we gave our staff all the time off nessecary to grive and that meant we werent dealing with day to say operations like making sure a $64 gym membership was paid. So after one day of being late I emailed back the corporate debt collector that we would be out of the office until the end of the week based on or current situation, and they said that was fine. So we continued going to the gym for the next 3 days and everyday were warned and scolded that we better pay this balance, and everyday i explained that we were just coming in to let out or frustrations on the weights and that not to worry, it will be taken care of but how is it hurting Crunch corporate to let me and my staff come in and work out while we grieve for a couple days about the passing of his combat brother. We were informed that corporate doesnt care about our situation and that we better pay...So finally on the 3rd day of this being late and listening to this crap, I paid the $64, then immediately canceled our membership. As a local business owner I believe that its more important to give good customer service than to be good debt collectors, and that your customers should be treated with respect and dignity in times of crisis, and that if a corporation does not do this, then they are not worthy of your business as a consumer.

On my first trial day i tried the yoga class. It may be the same one Caitlyn talked about. The Yoga instructor was old and had a bad attitude. She also emitted bad energy. She arrogantly put her hands on me to put me in a pose. She did this without asking and moved my glasses. I got up and left. I told her not to touch people and their property and not to criticize me. She had extremely poor boundaries. The guy who got me signed up told me he was going through a divorce and asked me out. I realized later it may be a tactic to keep the ladies in their memberships. When I told him I wanted to end my membership before the 5 day money back trial he started asking weird questions. Once he knew i was leaving he quickly told me to see someone else. This was a disgusting sales pitch gone wrong. Yoga instructor was the worst. I wont be back. These employees are immature and have poor boundaries. Low IQs.

I go for the classes. Debbys pilates class is amazing! Very supportive and has a lot of useful knowledge about muscles, posture, Pilates original theories/exercises to share with us. I also really like Chisel because you can tailor it to your own level - anybody can get a great workout in those classes. Only reason I took points away is because of the corporate culture - they tend to try and upsell you and convince everybody they need to hire a personal trainer to see "real" improvement. Almost chased me away. Also for a long time there was a really nasty pilates instructor who always criticized and never gave constructive directions or demonstrated correct form. Now that Im just a regular basic member they dont bother me and that mean teacher is gone, so Ive got nothing to complain about!

Crunch location Redwood City, California. I was very disappointed to see CNN Station eliminated among television programs. Lisa, the manager operator, told me she wanted to have only one news station. I could not believe that a manager can decide what News program to watch at Gym. It would be nice if Crunchs Headquarters could help to restore CNN program among television programs of Redwood City, California..

Solid gym. Good classes; good personal training access with certified trainers. Great managers like Divina. Shes awesome & always a smile with a helpful attitude. Sometimes the "happy hour" crowd at 5 pm during the week is a bit much but after trying the so called other popular gyms in the area (24 hr Fitness & Powerhouse), this is home for me!

Clean and modern facilities with everything you need in a gym. The membership fees are affordable, and provide you with everything they have to offer. -1 star because I wish the classes at this location were better (they dont do poleX, pilates, or barre. All their classes appeal to middle aged women), and I wish they had a pool.

spacious and lots of good equipment. Classes are good, and sometimes the group exercise room can get over-crowded when there is a Zumba class. Hope the Management can add more classes at different times especially on the weekends so that people dont have to flock to one class only.

Very, very clean and bright. Very good weights and machines. Will work for 99% of the people. Slightly lacking for serious power lifters and body builders. It has a "fitness center" and not serious feel.

Its fine. Cons include normal gym stuff (blasting crappy music, no one re-racks equipment, using phones near equipment instead of using it, etc). Also only one water fountain wth?
