I am a young professional working at Qualcomm and living in San Diego. I purchased a house in San Jose, a fixer upper, as an investment property in January of this year. I was clueless as to the next steps and just got the house because it was a good deal. Through the internet I found Kanler. I could not be happier with them! They have been my angel, my savior. Literally the next day after closing of escrow, they got onto my house and within 15 days transformed the house into living conditions! I kid you not, 15 days is all it took with their crew of 20+ folks. The price was much higher than the other two estimates I was able to gather remotely via phone calls, but the service was impeccable and well worth it. I was immediately able to gainfully rent out the house. At the moment they are helping me get permits from the City of San Jose to build a 2000 sqft extension at the same property, and the work is going so smoothly. Their architect Steve Clark has over 60 years of experience and was able to design the most beautiful house I have seen, pictures are attached!! They provide me constant updates, I can use customer tools on their website by logging into it as a homeowner to check progress anytime, I can pay online, I mean this is a dream come true - at last a 21st Century technology enabled remodeling company! Through their help, I was able to list my house as a pre-sale already have started to get offers! Now I dont even have to pay for the construction, and I still get to make 10x more on my investment because the buyer will be paying for the construction and I will be getting the sale price of the larger house, upfront! I highly recommend to Kanler to everyone!

I bought an investment property in Palo Alto a couple years ago. Given that the prices had gone very high, I wanted to get it remodeled to put it up on sale. But I had tenants in the house and I did not want to lose on rental income while fully remodeling the house. After talking to several contractors, I finally selected Kanler. I found them on Next-Door as they had recently completed by neighbors house too. I could not be happier with their service. They literally took care of ALL of my constraints. They broke the project down into phases so that my tenants can continue to live in the house, while fully remodeling it from the front to the back. They coordinated their schedule with the tenants on a daily basis using their App. I mean, this is the 21st Century. I was shocked that they were literally the ONLY GC I spoke to who uses an App for all of their project management and coordination with a Client facing view. The quality of their work was perfect, their timelines were accurate. They were not cheap and I did receive cheaper bids, but for all the convenience they brought into my life it was fully worth it. They are still working on my house, the permits for the last phase should be available to be pulled soon. I cant wait for them to finish this project. Oh also, their architect Steve Clark was one of the best I have seen. Overall, working with a 21st Century technology company doing GC work, that is also a full-service design-build firm, that is also very professional and that is also flexible to incorporate all of my constraints is the best construction experience I have ever had!

********* DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY ********** learn for our mistake! This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. They claim to be general contractors but I am not sure they can read a plans. I had a large renovation. Renovating the kitchen, adding 600sqft, remodeling 2 bathroom and the garage. Multiple bids but different companies and Kanler came in the low middle. Approximately $480-590k including materials. My experience with them was bad!!!. I felt that they were trying to cut corners. They bid the work out to subcontractors with the lowest bids. Their whole goal was generate maximum profit. without any quality control over the subcontractors that came to do the work. Small example we failed inspection twice. first was for safety reasons. Instead of doing the plumbing correctly and safely they ran plumbing through most of the studs in a bottom floor 2/3 which weakened entire structure. The city inspector made them do the joists which was an additional $12000 cost to me. Even though it was their mistake. We failed the second inspection because unsafe electrical work. Their plumber was so dumb that he left a hole in my roof that had to be patched after water leak. There were many other problems that at are too many to mention. After they were done I had to hire someone else to go through and fix all the little details and problems they left. Fyi my pm was Richard so be careful

While I was doing a status check on my construction project with Kanler, Rajiv, the owner, brought to my attention that since I am trying to replace all of my existing water pipes, it would be a good idea to replace the pipes that run vertically through my first floor unit to my second floor unit. I immediately thought to myself, "Great...This is going to cost me my upcoming vacation..." Curious to see how he would go about doing it, I asked him to explain his proposed work. He told me that they would run the pipes up, open up the walls in the upstairs bathroom and kitchen so they can connect the pipes without creating any additional pipe connections, and then close/patch the walls to return to original condition. Now, my thought was "No vacation and there goes my arms and legs!" Before I have a chance to respond, Rajiv proposes an amount that was like it was on my original Scope of Work!! Ive had a lot of good surprises so far during my project with Kanler. Working with them has been great - I can relax, not headache over my construction, and know that Im getting quality work and excellent customer service for a great price!

I purchased a 5000 sq ft mansion in Westwood Highlands in the city with a large area of it unfinished. After my purchase I wanted to finish this section of the house but since everything else in the house is very high-end, I needed a very high-end contractor. Furthermore being extremely busy, I wanted to find someone who would handle everything for me. I was fortunate to find Kanler and they addressed all of my needs. To my surprise, despite their high-quality work examples and solid references, they were also the cheapest bid! I worked closely with Alex and Robert and couldnt be happier with the end result. They are definitely the new-age 21st Century construction company that they claim to be. The dashbaord of their software allowed me to remain in sync with the project plan and next steps at all times, as well as gave me a single platform to interact and communicate my needs. Kanler was always very responsive and very transparent about everything. My favorite part was the savings! Overall, I give them 5-stars and highly recommend them to everyone!

We hired Kanler to remodel our kitchen and are very happy with the outcome. Kanler was the only company that gave us the kind of confidence we needed for the success of our project given the crazy busy schedules my husband and I have given our jobs and two kids. They follow an Uber-like model where they put together a team for our project - electrician, plumber, granite-guy, tile-guy, etc. Everyone chosen for our project was a specialist and ONLY did that; not a generalist like some of the other GCs we spoke to would have provided. This approach also helped us get the best cost because a lot of professionals were contacted by Kanler for our project and only the reasonably priced ones were finally selected by Kanler. To top it all off, given their dashboard on their website, we were able to follow along the progress of our project, given comments/inputs for the choice of our faucets, appliances and other items we wanted to choose. Overall, the experience was so painless and so rewarding at the end. We would highly recommend Kanler to anybody!
