I have been a member of Lifetime Fitness since December of 2015. I am choosing to end my membership a the gym for a variety of reasons, and will say that I did have an amazing fitness experience and overall transformation. My initial first day introduction to Lifetime was very hit n miss. I felt like a number for the sales rep and then requested to speak to another rep. Completely different level of treatment and communication. I get that it is business, and still...make your customers feel valued. Second, I received an email from the GM where he clearly misspelled my first name. My name is clearly spelled out in my signature block as I use my work email for most email traffic during the daytime. I responded back to his email and never heard anything back. This was a turn off. Third, personal training was an amazing experience. My trainer always made me feel more than welcomed, accommodated for, and above else like the time was mine to learn, grow, and get healthier. I went from 241lbs down to 190lbs. I am healthier and now understand how to train for my body. Fourth, Lifetime is not very diverse. This is huge me for me being a man of color and then not really feeling welcomed at the gym. Staff are somewhat friendly, fellow members are not very friendly, and when working out on the gym floor, the dismissive attitudes of most are a huge turn off. The lack of consistency in communication about gym bags not being allowed on the gym floor is messaging that should be the same across the board. It shouldnt be communication directed at a few. Fifth, I do get that you "pay for quality" and I dont get the part of "paying to be treated fairly". My trainer made my gym experience an amazing one for me. Anytime outside of my time in the gym working out with my trainer just never felt right. The only reason I didnt leave before now is because I committed to training with my trainer for 6 months. Now that the contract is up, I am moving on. Once I submit my 30 day note to cancel my membership, I will not be returning to this Lifetime fitness location or any other. I do hope that the information received from these reviews isnt being looked at lightly.

Overall Lifetime Fitness is an amazing gym to be a member at with, huge gym complex, tons of weights & machines, two swimming pools (one indoor & outdoor), basketball courts, tennis courts, personal training, yoga, Pilates, etc. What I wish Lifetime had was some indoor soccer fields. The only gym in the area that has indoor soccer is Cal Fit. Ive had a terrible experience with Cal Fit in the past, so I choose not to go to them. I truly have enjoyed my experience at Lifetime. With tons of amazing amenities, weight rooms, locker rooms, and cafes the place is quite impressive. The price for a monthly membership is a little hefty, but it only reflects the quality of the compound. With that being said, I dont mind paying a few extra bucks a month for such an amazing facility. If your looking for a gym that is smaller, or just has weights than maybe a 24 hour fitness or Cal Fit will better suit you. My whole family has a membership at Lifetime, and thats just what it is. A family welcoming and friendly fitness facility. Swimming is a big part of my workout routine, and when I found out that Lifetime had not one pool, but two pools I was thrilled. One of the pools is directly outside behind the facility, while the second pool is indoors. When I initially saw the facility, I was very impressed. Most gyms Ive had memberships at, rarely even have one swimming pool. Ive been very pleased and proud to be a member at Lifetime for quite some time. I highly recommend checking out the facility when you get the chance. Lifetime Fitness has definitely given me a lot of self confidence when it comes to fitness and looking better. Ive always prided myself on surrounding myself with the best people and gyms. The vibe and attitude at Lifetime is no joke, the members are successful people. Lifetime will be a gym I will continue to go to for years to come.

Im shopping for a gym--I wanted to visit LIFETIME in Roseville and judge for myself (and not be swayed by other reviewers opinions). Everyone has different "whys" when they join a club. The club exceeded all my "whys" and beyond that, the staff and account manager projected professionalism and pride of the club in a welcoming way. I was allowed a complimentary visit and I didnt want to leave. The club is spotless and I was engaged in my workout so much (I programmed the San Francisco virtual jog) I was there almost 2 hours and it felt like about 1 hour. I am seriously thinking of joining and it is worth the extra $50 a month Im paying now. Better yet, its month to month and youre not locked into a year contract like I was at a competing club. Read the reviews but I suggest you judge for yourself and give it a try like I did! Ask for Kreig, hes the one that showed me around!

I love going to this gym. Its never over crowded and is spotlessly clean. So many classes INCLUDED with the cost of membership. There is NO contract. Everyone is extremely friendly. I have NEVER loved going to a gym before. Yes, it is large but thats because there is a complete spa and hair salon, a cafe, 2 indoor pools, huge outdoor pool with 2 water slides and a snack bar. Private areas for yoga, pilates, spinning classes, general purpose rooms. 2 basketball courts, bunch of tennis courts. Large indoor and outdoor childrens area. They provide towels, soap, shampoo & conditioner, lotion, hairspray, mouthwash, razors, shave cream. BY pools 2 large jacuzzis, sauna. In locker rooms a steam room and sauna. Family locker room. Something for everyone. As far as cost goes, considering what you get, not over priced.

Great when it opened. I recently had a job change and inquired about using my services I had pre-paid for months ago. I asked one staff member about my services who mentioned she would get back to me the next day and never did. She had actually passed me on to another staff member who weeks later responded back and still the gal wasnt much help. I finally went in to cancel my memebership and the first gal who never got back to me said she would get back to me again and never ever did. I finally did get contacted by a trainer who never responded back. So I was out $120 for sessions and $80 for a test. I would pass on this gym and head to a smaller more personable gym.

Life Time Fitness is a spectacular facility and my Member Engagement Advisor Dawn Crouse was so helpful in explaining all the terms and rates available. I ended up signing up for a Diamond Family plan and I love love love it ! This facility is literally the best in the entire area and is hands down probably the most luxurious and classy I have ever seen. Unlike a sweaty and dirty gym this place is like a country club and the cafe is so delicious and convenient after or even before a workout. I think my Member Engagement Advisor did a good job in telling me this place would literally change my life because it has. Thank you Dawn and Life Time Fitness/Athletic.
