Terrible, absolutely terrible. Jennifer, one of the owners, has no sense of business or customer service. I brought my car there for an oil change 3 weeks ago. I asked for full synthetic and paid nearly $80 for the oil change alone. My brakes had been squealing for a few weeks so I know they were about due for a change and I ask them to check the brakes while they had my car up on the lift. I was told it would be "only 30 minutes or so" for an oil change... 3 hours later they finally finish up my change and give me the paper work. I asked if they checked my brakes and they said "sure, your brakes are fine" I told them that I had been hearing squealing noise (a courtesy noise to let you know youre wearing thin) and they told me that they didnt hear any noise and that I had plenty of pad left. So, I drive to San Diego, enjoy my week down there, and drive back a week later. Two weeks have past the trip and Im taking my car to the car wash. Upon exiting the car wash, as soon as I tap the breaks I feel more than hear a GRINDING in my brake, like heavy metal on metal. I take it into the shop the very next morning. The lead technician listened to my story and told me that they would do a full brake check free of charge. I think "awsome, they know how to take care of the customer." I get a call from him 4 hours later explaining that it will cost me $600 for the rotor replaced (They said they couldnt turn them), pad replacement, and the caliper that was bad. I ask if this could have been avoided if they had done the initial brake check like I asked. He told me "maybe, but I wasnt there so I have no idea what they told you." Fair enough, but I find $600 hard to swallow due to an oversight on their initial service. I tell them that I want a second opinion and I have an auto mechanic who was willing to do an inspection for free as well and that I would like my friend (I was at work) to pick up the vehicle. They then told me that I could have my vehicle back as soon as I pay the $30 for the brake inspection. I then said I was told me the brake inspection would be free to which he replied that the inspection was free only if I have the work done at the shop. Wow, didnt realize there was terms and stipulations on a courtesy service. We go back and forth on the phone with him telling me this was unavoidable and me asking why wasnt this found earlier. He then handed the phone off to his owner, Jennifer. Now, I was cool with the technician, he was just backing what his owner told him. Jennifer, the owner is a down right nasty person. She is inflexible, uncompromisable, and basically has no idea what customer service is or how to retain business. Before I got on the phone with her, I was willing to do the work there if they cut me a nice enough deal. After my conversation with Jennifer however, I was determined not to give them a penny more of 29.99. Not only did she play the legal card of my signature on the paper stating that I need to pay the money before they would give me my vehicle, but she outright ignored my friend who went in there to try and reason with them and pick up my vehicle. I was able to contact a regional manager who called the store and got the shaft from her as well. The regional manager was seriously unhappy but because theyre a franchise they have to abide by her decision to stand behind the legal paperwork. I paid them the $30 and signed the work order that included a full page summary of our conversation that included blasting my buddy who was only trying to mediate... They didnt even have my paperwork of the inspection ready, said they would have it ready at the end of the day and if I couldnt pick it up in time which leads me to wonder if they even did the inspection at all. TL;DR version- Dont trust Midas. They fail to keep their word and hide behind paperwork instead of taking care of the customer. I wouldnt trust them to wash my windows.

They call themselves "auto service experts". OMG what a joke. I dropped my car off and all I wanted done was to have 1 tire replaced and my front end alignment done. Sounds simple enough, right? ha. First, it took the girl at the computer 30 minutes just to enter my info and give me a price, after I told her I was in a hurry and just wanted to drop the car off and come back later. Next, the mechanic who barely speaks english comes to me after looking at my car and tells me that he cant do an alignment unless I replace both front tires, because theyre both worn. I thought the passenger side tire was still ok, but whatever. I said fine. After I left, the manager, Jennifer, calls me and tells me that they cant do the alignment because a section of my frame was broken? I said, I think you mean I had a section of my frame REPLACED, because part of it was rusted out, and I had it cut out and a new section welded in its place. So, whats that got to do with adjusting the tie rods? Then she says thats just what the mechanic told her, and that "shes not a mechanic". So, why are you the manager of an auto shop calling yourself an "auto service expert" if you dont know the first thing about cars? So, I told her to just leave the key in the ignition, and lock it up, and I would come and get it. I got there a couple hours later, to find my car unlocked in the parking lot, and my keys nowhere to be found. I plan on calling tomorrow to hopefully find out what they did with them. Dont go to these so-called "experts".

This Midas shop was the last to service my Mazda. I had an oil change and tire rotation done. On Tuesday I went back to have the same services completed because they were do. I was told that it would be a 3 hour wait (despite their being only one customer in the lobby and no cars in their bays). I decided not to wait and have Pep Boys down the street do it. When they went to rotate my tires two of the wheel studs snapped off. It wasnt Pep Boys fault. The studs where damaged from the previous rotation at Midas. At Pep Boys they have video monitors in the bays so you can watch the work being done on your vehicle so I know it wasnt their fault. The tech had just started rotating my Mazdas tires when the studs broke off. It wasnt like he was re-installing the tires and then snapped the studs. That would have been their fault then. So after getting my car put back together I decided to head over to Midas to see if they would reimburse the cost to replace the studs. They were closed… at 5pm, despite their sign clearly stating they close at 6pm. I went back today and got some b.s. answer about "wear and tear." They didnt deny they caused the "wear and tear", but they did refuse to compensate me for the damage they obviously caused. I recommend going elsewhere. These guys obviously are anything but professional.
