Going from a marathon-running, size 4 fit chick to an always tired, never have time for myself, complacent, size 16, fat mommy has been a hard, depressing transition for me to say the least. I really let myself go. The last year alone, I gained about 30 lbs due to drinking sugary coffee drinks and snacking all night to keep myself up while I studied for nursing school. When my 4 year old son asked me, "Are all Mamas fat like you?" I knew I had to get my health in order and set a good example for him. I worked out every other day in a big box gym but didnt pay much attention to my diet. Also, I was just doing cardio and wishing I could afford personal training to show me how to use the free weights properly. I did lose 20 lbs within a 4 month period but started to get bored with the cardio machines. I stumbled upon an ad in Facebook looking for people to join the 20 lb challenge for free. Went to the orientation and was inspired by all the transformations that people made. Also, it is free IF you lose the 20lbs and maintain it for 10 days, work out in group sessions at least 5 days a week, check in on Facebook when working out, and write a review. So basically, in exchange for the free training and meal plan, you will be their advertising. I am not a fan of checking in on Facebook but I was surprised at all the support I received from my friends/family when I did post it on my page. It really wasnt that bad at all. The coaches are AMAZING! They went out of their way to know your name, know your situation, and help you with executing the exercises. The coaches were very encouraging and knowledgable. The meal plan was the hardest part of it. The timing of meals was very important to the plan to keep your metabolism up. Unfortunately, as a student nurse, it was damn near impossible to stick to the timing of the meal plan when I had clinical days in the hospital. I couldnt even get to empty my bladder some days, much more to drink a protein shake and eat some almonds. But nonetheless, I stuck to it as much as I could and found it to be totally manageable (if I didnt have to be in clinical). After the six weeks, I lost 21.6lbs. I can finally see my collar bones and emerging muscles that existed pre-child. What I value most is that I just feel healthier, more energetic, and confident. My son said Im not a "fat mama" anymore. The only gripe I have is that I am not a very socially outgoing person and the workouts required were all in a group setting. I look like absolute crap when Im working out and Im sweating buckets so I felt awkward having to work out with people. I did meet a few participants that were really awesome and fun to talk to but for the most part I stuck to myself. Socializing is very much encouraged here and I never really got into it. But thats just me... I like to listen to my Rage Against the Machine music while I work out and not be bothered. I should say though that the gym members were all pretty personable. The decisive factor for me in joining this challenge was the fact that it was free (if you did all the requirements). As a student, funds are tight and the motivation to get my deposit back was a good one. In the end, I feel like I got the better deal... I know how to use equipment properly and eat clean, and I lost 21.6lbs! Eventually, when Im making the big bucks as an RN (fingers crossed), I hope to join the gym as member.

I did the 6 week challenge where you lose 20 lbs in 6 weeks. First, let me say that almost everyone there is amazing! The trainers are incredible and the members are even better. The program is fun and you feel incredible by completing the challenge. What I dont like: I followed their meal plans to the T and didnt cheat once, I attended 5 classes per week, I signed in every day, I checked in on Facebook every day to give them free advertising, and lost a total of 23.4 pounds in 6 weeks. I did everything they required of me and agreed to, but am now being told that my contracted agreement is changing. 9 days after I completed my final weigh in, one of the owners are telling me that I might not get my deposit back if I havent "maintained" my weight-loss. They make you write a testimonial before they give you your money back, so by writing this, I will most likely lose mine; even though I have completed everything Ive agreed to. I do feel, however, that telling the truth is more important and I am concerned that they think its ok to change agreements after a contract has been established and signed. The program itself and the staff are great and I am super excited about losing my weight. I have enjoyed it almost every step of the way, but beware: If your opinion differs from his, you most likely wont get your deposit back. Well see what happens to mine...I will update this review with the "results".

I have had as many as 3 gym memberships at one time and I experienced the annoying 15 pound loss then gain the last 3 years. I was literally on my last attempt of losing weight when I started my first challenge at RESULTS in July 2014. Let me first say, RESULTS is a different gym. The coaches and members are supportive of everyone. They offer 6 week challenges where you put a deposit down and if you follow the program they provide you get your deposit back. Ive now completed three challenges successfully which means I have lost 75 pounds and as an added bonus - for free. The program is a combination of a straight forward and simple (not always necessarily easily) nutrition program and workout program. RESULTS as a gym offers great classes that are designed to burn the most calories while bringing variety and a challenge so you keep seeing progress without having to dedicate extra hours that you dont have. The coaches are phenomenal and truly care about you and your progress. Im so happy I found RESULTS and turned my health and fitness around.

Awesome facility. I was really never in to going to the gym. This place makes it easy to come back to, however. I was able to really test out their programs before deciding what services I SHOULD be using. At first I thought I knew what I was doing, but the coaches there really showed me how I can get more out of the little time I have to dedicate to my exercises. Its not like those typical gyms that Ive tried in the past. The staff makes you feel welcomed and its like youre at home. They know your name and they are very knowledgeable and helpful. It amazes me how they know their members names. If you have questions, or are stuck with not knowing what to do they NOTICE and they respond by seeing if you need assistance. Im now loving the time I spend at the gym and getting the most out of it. I recommend this place if youre not comfortable with the other gyms in town or if you are like me and think that you dont belong at a gym.
