....I;m not in the habit of bestowing kudos on various services as I have found them lacking in reliability and just wanting to do the job right...BUT...after my experience with the Dependable Rooter and Plumbing crew, I must admit I havent been this impressed in a long time. Experiencing an ugly situation with our old clay sewer pipes which had not only backed up (Id personally rented the sewer snake and unclogged them multiple times before)..the bends under a concrete stairway had finally separated and angled so that they would no longer be serviceable. Once contacted, the serviceman came out immediately, scoped it for me so I could plainly and despairingly see the problem. Digital photos were taken for later diagnosis back at their office, and I was given 3 options for possible solutions to the problem. Being retired, I had to go with the least expensive....pipe bursting and relining etc. were too expensive for me and given the difficulty of the site location (steep grade behind a retaining wall et al.) I chose the least expensive which was repair at site...in other words, hard laborious hand digging etc. On the dot, three incredibly hard working men were on the driveway ready to go...I worked with them in that Im fussy about work done at my property.....each problem, and there were many as the site does not accommodate quick dirt removal especially behind a large concrete brick retaining wall....and as we were working I couldnt believe that since Dependable Rooter is a commercial company it has all the other services at their disposal like the concrete drilling service (6" hole through 14" of solid concrete footing and rebar) or the asphalt patching service at their disposal....in fact, the guys were coming up the driveway waiting on us to get the trenching finished etc....all this in one day! The three Rooter servicemen stayed well after dark with me to finish filling and tamping the excavations....not fun....the only thing left was a cement collar for one of the two clean-outs the next day.....and all along, the office staff would call to confirm when workers were leaving to come out and email any necessary info that I should have....As I said, I am blown away with the service that I was provided from this company ...even one of the owners had his truck out here to pick up the sacks of asphalt as soon as the driveway was opened up....tarps were spread to capture all the dirt not just thrown aside for later disposal etc....and.despite an aching back the next day from attempting to help, Im beyond pleased ant relating my experience to the neighbors....in closing, I have to repeat, this not your typical plumbing experience....thanks again!

The quality of service from both the person at their call center and from the technician Sean, were outstanding. My entire sewer line backed up (big tree, lots of roots) at a very bad time. Yes I know there is never a good time, but it was 8 PM and my daughter had just started a cleanse for a medical exam she was taking the next day. We also had a sit down dinner/engagement party for 80 people, in a few days. Before finding Dependable Rooter & Plumbing, I called 3 other company from my Google search that advertised 24 x 7 emergency service. None answered my call. I was sent to voicemail by all 3. The person at the Dependable Rooter & Plumbing call center estimated a 20-30 minute Technician on-site arrival time. 15 minutes later, I received both a text and a call back, Sean was on his way. He arrived on time. He asked me to explained what was happening, asked a few clarifying questions and then provided me a quote, if the main sewer line needed to be rootered. I accepted the quote and after a few rooter runs with his initial claw, he showed me the issue with the camera he inserted into the line. There was still a mess of roots. He then went to his van and came back with the "big" claw. A few hours later, he finish and showed me the results via the camera. All but the largest root was removed. He then provided me some excellent preventative action advice, I should begin thinking of, to address future root invasions. I never felt he was trying to push additional services or cost. This level of service is difficult to find. They met their commitment, on time and at the quoted cost. This is what I will I expect from any company that touts 24 x 7 emergency service. BTW, daughter is fine and the party went off without a hitch. Tony

Quick great response to major sewer clog which signaled a ready-to-fail cast iron pipe sewer system to be replaced with plastic piping. Eventually required major replacement of virtually every sewer and lavatory pipe and several water (copper) pipes in our 2400 sq.ft. two-story home. Involved lots of difficult work under house and lots of in-kitchen and bathroom sheet rock and paint replacement. Included a 5+ feet deep sewer clean out in our yard. All work done exceptionally well. Everyone was very friendly and polite to us and to each other; great teamwork from people that work together very well. Tough job done on budget and timely (five large pink vans and a car were parked nearby on busiest day). Special kudos to: > Davids and Mikes excellent diagnostic and supervisory work. > Jose and Juan who did excellent and extra sheet rock, painting and cleanup work. > Immediate attention to a (n accidentally) broken thermostat wire under house--they called in an expert at their own expense (>$500) who installed a great new wireless thermostat. > a surprise and very pleasant visit from General Manager Sara to finish job and show her appreciation with before and after pix (and wine and T shirts and more!) My wife Kathy shares my opinions above and was especially impressed with Joses general and bathroom cleanup. She said "my bathrooms have not been this clean since [they were] remodeled 16 years ago". We both would and will recommend this firm to anyone.

These guys saved me the middle of the night. I had no water with a house full of people, so I tried to DIY my shower handle and next thing you know all hell broke loose I called numerous other plumbing companies which all either cancelled last minute or just never showed up at all, I even had one plumber come and then say there was "nothing I can do"..and then dependable rooter and plumbing swooped in and fixed my problem, the technician Jose and owner Andrew were polite and professional I would even go as far as to say friendly, after going through a long list of San Jose plumbers, I would have to say Dependable rooter and plumbing would be the only recommendation I could confidently give. THANK YOU!!!

Very dependable indeed! Sean Gallager came in for fixing a leakage issue. He was very helpful and service minded. Very hard to find those qualities with other contractors I have come across. I find him to be very detail oriented. The genuineness in trying the various options to resolve the issue, is what prompted me to write this review. For this quality alone, I will work with you folks again. I have used dependable rooter services earlier as well. Now, on an emergency whole in a road trip. I just did not dial anyone apart from "Dependable"

It was such a relief when I came across The Dependable Rooter and Plumbing. They were able to assist me right away on short notice when I had an emergency flood in my home from a leaky toilet. They were great on communicating with me on how soon they would be arriving to my home. The workers were very professional and did an amazing job on cleaning up the mess the flooding caused. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family members!
