Truly disappointing. I was from out of town and had called to make an appointment for a Facial & Massage because they seemed to be the only spa near my hotel. It was within walking distance so I didnt have to deal with parking however, upon checking into my hotel they receptionist had asked that I let them know how my experience was because they tend to refer guests there but over the last 4 months had heard complaints and not good feedback and wanted to know how my experience was. Once I made it to Spa, upon check in the receptionist was complaining to another co-worker and was not a very friendly welcoming. While I was waiting to be brought back 3 women came to check out after completing their services and the receptionist asked who was going to pay for the 4th women who had to cancel their appointment? The ladies sounded confused and explained how their friend was taken to the ER earlier in the day and was still at the hospital which is why she wasnt able to keep her appointment. The receptionist still demanded they pay even though she wasnt seen. I felt there was no empathy or compassion for their situation. I was told over the phone to come early if I wanted to enjoy the additional services of the Steam room and Sauna/Jaccuzzi. So, being a first time away from my young ones and getting to treat myself on a rare occasion I decided to take advantage of it and go about 40 min early. However, the Jacuzzi area smelt awful and I passed. I decided to go to the steam room- it was SO loud, I didnt stay more than a few minutes. I decided just to wait for my massage in the waiting area. The water was empty, so no beverage to drink, but it was quiet and secluded which was nice. My massage therapist was named Olga and she was not very welcoming, infact I felt completely awkward and uncomfortable my entire appointment with her. She was so rough and too fast at every motion almost my entire body was moving the entire time. after 10 min, I very politely asked if she could slow down and adjust pressure because I was having a hard time relaxing and I was really looking forward to having time to relax. She did not adjust and instead whispered under her breath and continue the same the entire remaining massage appointment. She did not massage my upper body besides my back at all nor did she ask at all during the appointment if "the pressure was ok" or check in with me for comfort. intact, in the very end she just said, "ok, all done" and left the room. When I came out I asked where I would be heading for my facial and she pointed down the hall with a confused look like she didnt understand me. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in my "mommy" time away. The facial on the other hand was good- Vivian was very friendly, thorough, and extremely sweet. I was more relaxed and felt like she did a great job. She had a lot of helpful recommendations on skin regimen and knowledgable of her product and aware of meeting clients needs. I did share my experience with Vivian of my massage when it came up in conversation and she was nice enough to relay the info to the receptionist. However, Upon checkout, they gave me 10% off of the massage which I felt was not enough for the experience I had and the horrible service I received. Especially when they are VERY over priced!!! You dont get what you pay for, and to be honest I would not recommend them to anyone nor will I be returning. I will definitely share my experience with the receptionist at the Westin so he can detour other Clients from experiencing the service disappointment and their overpricing. Overall, Vivian was great and they are lucky to have her. but my experience was one that I wish I never had.

Ive already detailed my bad experience with Tova Day Spa on Yelp and Spa Finder. I took my daughter here in April 2013 for a for a mani/pedi appointment. Before booking the appointment, I confirmed with Tova that yes, they did in fact took Spa Finder gift certificates. When we checked in, my mistake is that I assumed they knew I was paying with the gift certificates. After the mani/pedis, they did NOT honor the gift certificate. I was "out" over $200 for two spectacular appoinments. Even Michael Finney could not help me get reimbursed, because (my mistake again), I did not get the name of the person who took my call when I originally booked the appointment. Tova essentially dismissed themselves of no customer satisfaction. I wasnt saying to comp me the mani/pedi--use my certificate like you said you would when I called. I will never book here again or recommend anybody to them.

Was there with my husband for our 10 year anniversary. Scheduled massages for the both of us at 4:30 pm. My therapist was on time taking me in but as she was walking me back she apologized to my husband that his therapist was running late and that she would be coming in soon. She arrived 10 min later and took him in. Right after I finished my massage, my husband came back to the lounge area. To sum it up, he was not given the allotted 50 min massage that we paid for. We complained to front desk who assured us the manager would call us. She called me 2 days later and left me a voicemail message. I called her right back and she was not available to speak to me. So then I left her a message and she NEVER returned my call. I will not be going back to that spa again. Massages were mediocre but management was terrible. A follow up call wouldve done wonders.

I was in San Jose, tagging along with my boyfriend, who had a conference to attend. The day before we flew out to San Jose, I injured my back. This is nothing new, Ive struggled with back problems since I was 15 years old. I was desperate for relief, especially after the 4 hour flight, so I decided to get a massage at the hotel spa. I wasnt expecting anything great, considering its just another hotel spa. But I was very surprised. The desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, and it was honestly the best massage Ive ever had. Kathleen, my massage therapist, is a miracle worker. Now Ill be able to enjoy this trip, instead of spending it in bed. Way beyond satisfied with this spa.

I went to the Tova Spa for a makeup lesson that cost $100. The makeup artist did an ok job but she also recommended false lashes which I said I did not want. But she pushed and I agreed. At no point did she tell me that costs another $40. At the billing, they had charged me for makeup application and the eye lashes. I said I only made an appointment for makeup lessons and nothing else. They did not reduce the charges for eye lashes. Fairmont hotels should definitely oversee whats happening at the spa even if they dont run it themselves. I was very disappointed. I am from the services industry and I did not see any professionalism on display there. I am never going back.

When arriving to the spa I found the front desk people to be very friendly. I brought my friend here for her bday. We had a very relaxing time however when we finished our massage we went into the ladys showers, we practically got kicked out. The lady told us we had to hurry out cus they were closing. I thought it was rude and she didnt even apologize. We ended up leaving and had to finish getting ready at the Fairmont restrooms located in the lobby. I called the next day to complain and all they said was sorry that is the time they close the facilities. I will never return they again or recommend this place
