Our car had not passed the biennial smog test. We had been to two other mechanics/garages n our area. Both of these had greatly exaggerated the problem with the car as well as the repairs necessary to get it to run clean and pass smog. With repair quotes upwards of $2500 to do the repairs from the other shops, we were frustrated and felt that some of the things reported as needing repair just didnt make sense. We didnt know whether to try another mechanic or start looking for a new car. Our car had not passed the biennial smog test. We had been to two other mechanics/garages in our area. We didnt know whether to try another mechanic or start looking for a new car. Wed gone to both of those two other shops because they had been well rated on Google Reviews. We hadnt realized that Angies List covered mechanics. Once we did we immediately looked there and found both of those two other mechanics scored REALLY LOW on Angies List. So naturally we next looked for who DID score well on Angies List ----- Morin Bros score stood head and shoulders above the others, both on Angies list and here on Google Reviews. We gave them a call. Jesse, the Owner and Service Manager, answered our call. We explained the ordeal to him and he immediately began problem solving the situation and explaining items which could account for the diagnostic codes our car had gotten and what could be done to repair them. Wed already had one of other shops do a diagnostic test on the vehicle, this was when they had quoted us the price in excess of $2500 for repairs. So even though Morin Bros is 35 minutes away from our home, we decided we would pay the additional charge for a new diagnostic at Morin Bros. It was worth it to us to try them out and see if we could get an objective, responsible viewpoint on our cars situation. It was money well spent!! Jesse and his crew did the diagnostic. Poured over the situation. Fixed it. :D And all for 80% LESS then the other shop had tried to gouge us for. Jesse and Elena, the Office Manager, were always kind, helpful and attentive every time we called. They responded quickly, knowledgeably and patiently to all of our questions. We trust Morin Bros, because they earned our trust. We respect their professionalism because they really proved they are a shop operating from a base of integrity. Im writing this as Im sitting in the nicely air-conditioned waiting room at Morins. Theres 2 things that I noticed here that I havent noticed at other auto repair shops. First off, they have the cleanest bathroom ever. Its cleaner than most restaurant bathrooms Ive seen, and that says a lot. You can tell a lot from a clean bathroom ...they must be detail-oriented. Second of all, they have free wireless in their waiting area! Thats just awesome. Their price seems the lowest too. I called several places (for power steering and brake fluid flushing), and their price was the lowest of all. A couple other places even offered a coupon, but the price was $20+ higher. Im quite pleased. The people are very friendly too. I highly recommend Morins if you need repairs done on your car.

I love Morin Bros. I moved here from Orange County three years ago and left behind a trustworthy mechanic that I worked with for 15 years. Honestly it was a very tough part of the move for me because I dont often buy new cars and rely on my mechanic to provide reliable service. After trying two other places here in SLO, I finally found my new mechanic for life. Great service, both to the car and to the customer (me). This last time they had to keep the car overnight unexpectedly, and gave me a loaner overnight, for free, no questions asked. Thanks guys, I will continue bringing my vehicles back here until they dissolve into rust! ;^)

Quality I can trust. Theyve been working on my cars for nearly 25 years and I have never had a complaint. They do excellent diagnostics at a fair price and there are no surprises when the bill comes. They never recommend unnecessary repairs and when they fix it, its fixed. They are friendly and relaxed and they give me a ride when I need it.

Michael, Jessie and the crew at Morin Brother have been doing my vehicle maintenance for the last several years and have been great. I wouldnt go anywhere else! I took my car to another facility in town and was quoted over 300$ , when I took it to Morin Bros I paid 145$$. I feel they are the most honest shop with your interests at heart. Have attended the free seminars Michael has for women and they are very educational too.
