Took my truck in to get a window motor replaced. Several days later, I get a call that it didnt need replaced and to come pick it up. $260 bill for a switch on my center console to get replaced. I had $40 stolen from my truck, got into an argument with the shop owner about it, after which he handed me $40. I know he didnt take it, but I know for a fact it was taken, because there was an ATM receipt with the money that I had just withdrawn and left in my vehicle on accident when I dropped it off. I was going to keep my mouth shut about this, but then.. And then the kicker: about a month later, my window motor goes out completely with the window stuck down, in the middle of the rain season. Between paychecks, and having already spent a few hundred dollars on the problem, theres no way I can afford to have this issue fixed (AGAIN). So I came here to vent over the mold I now have building up in my truck. Dont take your vehicles here.

Mechanics are good, never had a problem with a repair. But the thing is, these days there are lots of good mechanics around, and in the Age of the Impersonal Internet, its all about customer service. So, my husband and I thought this was a great shop until they put Scott on the front desk; since then, our customer experience has gotten worse and worse. He seems to have no people skills and is unable to speak to me as an intelligent human being. I cant say its about women because today he talked down to my husband to such a degree that my husband blew up and I almost never see him pushed to that point by anyone, for any reason. As of now, Im looking for a new shop.

Ive had nothing but positive experiences here. When I moved here I had a pretty rusted out trailblazer and they were always quick, courteous, and the bill is less than what they quoted. I have only gone back to certified auto since I found them. I had visited 5 other mechanics before finding Scott and ed. All of the others were rude and condescending, and wanted to upcharge for maintenance due to the rust. (Im from Michigan, rust is inevitable with the long harsh winters there) example: charge $15 for every rusted bolt removed in addition to labor fees.

We were a new military family to the area when I met Ed Mortara at a couple NU soccer games. Eds commitment to his sons and their interest impressed me. Then my truck had unexpected troubles; I went to the closest repair shop and was instantly relieved when Ed walked up to the counter. I call Ed and he always has the information to get me back on the road or makes arrangements to get the truck in and fixed in a short amount of time. Looked at my issue in a timely manner however I am giving two stars because my radiator cap was not put on again when they were done- three days later I looked under the hood and found it tucked in under the hood, extremely careless mistake on their part that could have been very bad.
