I took my Toyota Sienna into Kelly Automotive in Shingle Springs for a simple oil change. I brought my own premium oil and filter (mobile 1). I usually dont check the oil level after I have the oil changed, but this time I did. I had a suspicion that something was wrong. I was right! They put in 3 quarts too much oil. Since I brought in the correct amount of oil, why would they put in so much extra oil. To make matters worse, the oil on the dipstick was a noticeably different color and viscosity from the 0w-20 mobile 1 oil. I paid close to $100 for the oil, filter, and labor only to have to do it again a few days later. Toyota requires synthetic oil for my engine. The service manager argued with me that synthetic oil is no better than organic oil and that I was just wasting my money on synthetic. They also told me that Toyotas recommended oil change interval is too long. What? The manufacturer doesnt know how to maintain their engines to keep it in warranty? After many years of using Kelly Automotive I am finished. THREE QUARTS too much oil is too much for me to take. This is a stupid mistake on such a simple job. I cant trust Kelly Automotive anymore!!!! You shouldnt either!!!!

BEWARE!! These guys have a major attitude and will not back up their work. After they "fixed" my car twice, I took it to another mechanic who was really able to find out what was wrong. Went back to Kelleys to inform them that they did not do a full diagnosis and they admitted that they only did a 15 minute diagnosis (even though I paid the full $150 for a "diagnosis" and another $2,000 in "repairs"). Turns out their focus is the other shop next door which does engine block repair. These guys are not really mechanics I guess? Never going to this place again.

Having used both the automotive repair facility and machine shop, I have yet to have an experience anything less than stellar. My first thought about Kelly Automotive is the smiling faces and the laugh that we are going to have about something funny! Keep up the great work!
