Thanks for losting my mail which contains items worth more than 300 dollars!!! My mail is signature required for safety. According to tracking the time it was delivered is when I was at home and no carrier knocked at all!! So they send it to a wrong address and let a stranger signed for it? The worst is the package is even signed by my name!!! This is so ridiculous that no one could believe this is happening. I tried to find a supervisor, waited more than 20 minutes, changed to another window, waited another 15 minutes, and only get the result of having my phone number recorded. The woman told me she is going to call me in the afternoon, and she did. The only thing she told me on the phone was totally useless-the package was signed in your name?-of course I know that from the tracking record!! And that is suppose to be the question I am asking you! Then she hung up and never called back today. I am so mad about this bad service ruined my new year. If the staff in this place cannot even solve a simple problem such as DELIVER THE PACKAGE TO THE CORRECT ADDRESS, I am suggesting this post office to be closed forever for everyones happiness. FYI: Dont even try to get any help from the supervisor if your package is lost. I have been to post office twice and their reply was leave your phone number and we will call you back. Everyone was acting like "nobody cares your package got stolen". Even though they took my phone number but there was nobody trying to contact me. I called them and talked to my supervisor, and she was like "I dont know this and Ive never met you before but I will call you later", then she hung up the phone impatiently and rudely. (No doubt she will never call me back.) I would like to give this place zero star or even negative but the system wont let me so. In a word, AVOID this place! AVOID! AVOID!

I recently moved and used the change of address form online to "help" make this process easier. The date of forward to my new address was 7-22-09. Since making that change request (on 7-19) I have not received certain items I was expecting, in particular a check. I called the San Ramon, CA. post office to see if they had or were holding any mail for me there since I had not received anything at my OLD or NEW address. The first lady I spoke to was completely rude. I did not even finish what I was saying before she cut me off and said "zip code". Nothing else. I gave her my zip code and she put me on hold without asking or even letting me know. I stayed on hold for about 3 minutes and someone else picked up. No information was relayed so I had to try to explain my situation again. The same thing happened and I was once again placed on hold for several minutes. When this lady returned she told me that I would not receive ANY mail for 7-10 business days from the date I submitted that change of address. I told her that couldn’t be correct because I was receiving certain things. She said nothing to this. So, I asked her if there was any way I could come by a post office to get my mail because I needed the check that was there. She told me “no I could not because the mail went to Sacramento each day”. This whole process has been VERY difficult to say the least. I cannot afford to wait over a week to receive my mail and will NEVER use the online change of address service again. I would also like to point out the complete lack of concern, rudeness and impatience BOTH employees I spoke to showed me on over the phone. Isnt it part of their job to HELP us? Instead I felt like I had done something to offend them and they just didnt have time or energy to waste on me. On a scale of one to ten I rate my experience as a ZERO.

I have never dealt with such confusion and incompetence in my life. When I stepped in for my appointment Margarite, the passport personnel, was too caught up in wrapping up and reorganizing the previous appointments paperwork. The desk was covered with the days personal information of all the people that had been there before me -laying out in plain view! No one explained over the phone that the applications had to be filled out beforehand. I had questions about some of the inquiries being made on the application and Margarite would answer my question with a question, (as though it were an answer), and simultaneously look to me for confirmation of her response, ("Is that correct?" or "Right?"). Within 10 minutes my paperwork was mixed with someone elses and my passport I needed to update was put away mistakenly with another persons file. Not all forms that needed to be filled out were stocked and I had to go back in to retrieve the pictures she forgot to hand me when I left. After this experience, my confidence level in how this facility handles peoples personal information and original documents is non-existant. And forget trying to follow up or speak to a manager about the situation. After getting a busy signal for 20 minutes, being on hold for a total of 13 minutes and 26 seconds and then getting disconnected 3 times I gave up! I only hope I get my familys passports in time before our trip in a couple of months!

Though I do not live in San Ramon, I had a package sent to a gentleman living here through Express Mail. The carrier left a notice at home since no one was available to take the delivery and when this gentleman goes to the PO to pick it, the clerk conveniently said "I cant find it" and returns back the notice. They did not even care to look for it and proudly then proclaimed - "Since the package was insured, you will at least not lose all the money". WTF! Then finally after having to raise a claim, calling every customer service number available and making tons of noise all the way from the Midwest to the West Coast did they finally budge to even try to look for it. Fortunately they were able to locate and call back that they found it. Before that, they were completely apathetic to the situation and never bothered to follow up until some pressure was put through higher authorities. And they had no answers where the package was all this time. It was a really sad situation considering the "overnight" package took 4 days to reach its destination even though the local PO had it the very next day it was mailed. Is this the kind of attitude people in San Ramon have to put up with everyday while dealing with them? The good people in San Ramon deserve a lot better. I hope someone is listening.

May, 2014: It said "Out for delivery" from San Ramon USPS since yesterday morning and it changed to "Undeliverable as addressed" last night. I called 10 times this morning and never answered. Weird. Edit: Turns out, they left it in my neighbors mailbox. They swore they made sure they put it in my mailbox when I spoke to them at USPS. Bunch of Liars. 7/3/2014: USPS tracking says they left a notice since no one was there to sign it. My wife was home all day. Plus I didnt even get a notice. Mailbox was empty. 7/7/2014: Found out another package says "out for delivery" since 7/3. No further update on the package available when tracking. Wow. 2/12/2016: In the past 2 weeks, the delivery boy misplaced my mail in a neighbors inbox twice. YOU HAVE ONE JOB! Very incompetent. Plus, its 8:43AM and their phone is still on answering machine. They open at 8:30AM. 3/14/2016: Another mistake by the mailman last Friday. He placed my neighbors package in my parcel. And it looks like my package in someone elses mailbox. Ive been calling this morning since 8:30AM and I am again getting the answering machine. HOW DO THESE PEOPLE KEEP THEIR JOBS? USPS IS A JOKE. I have lived in more than 5 states in my life and this USPS, in San Ramon, CA, is the worst USPS of all time...
