When it got closer to the wedding (about 2 weeks before) we met up with Barbara again to go over all the details. Since we have such HIGH medical bills I wanted to double check with her that we were paid in full. Actually, plain and simple... we needed to know if we were paid in full because we needed to know if we had enough money to go on a small honeymoon. I brought my Mother, my sister, and my fiance (now my husband) to this last meeting with Barbara. My Mother asked Barbara straight out if we were paid in full and Barbara said, "Yes, you are paid in full!" The day of the wedding we didnt have ANY COMPLAINTS! Then we got to the reception! We already knew that Barbara was going to be at another reception in Corona and would be jumping between the two (ours was at their venue in Santa Ana). Chris, her son, also our dj, basically ran the whole thing. Poor guy had to run the music, serve us, and stay on the timeline that we had for the wedding. He also had to fit in time to work the DvD player to play two of our montages. Seriously, Chris was awesome because if it was not for him I would have been running the event. Soooo... we didnt get our head server like we paid for ($150.00), we didnt get the three servers that we paid for ( about $300.00 --- we got kitchen staff dressed in white --- supposed to be dressed in black) and we didnt get ANY bartender. If it was not for our SUPERB FLORIST (BELLA FLEUR DESIGN) we wouldnt have had a bartender at all! So... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to our DJ (Chris) and our FLORIST (Donna - Bella Fleur Design) our guests had NO idea that we didnt get a little more than $700.00 of our $$$ worth. Then to make matters worse, around cake cutting time, Barbara comes to me and informs me that she will be sending me my updated receipt/bill. SHE IS TELLING ME THAT WE ARE NOT PAID IN FULL. A WHOLE $1,700.00 not paid in full! WHAT!!!?!! So, I went and found my husband at this point to have him look into this! Barbara ended up telling my Mom that she never told her that we were paid in full and that she doesnt do the books. We ended up paying the money and having to cut our honeymoon a little on the cheaper side. We sent them a letter asking to be reimbursed the $700.00 that I feel we didnt receive in the service. Thus far, we have not heard anything from the site and I plan on resending them the letter once more. If we hear anything or get our money back I will come back to this site and update my review. Basically, they have good prices, good food, and a nice venue. Downside is that they need to take Barbara out of doing things on her own. Her short term memory has really gone downhill in the 2 and a half years we have been with CGC. If you decide to go with CGC ask for Diane. Oh, and they DO have an accountant! Stay on top of your cost and how much you have paid! I just really thought it was unprofessional to come up to the bride at the END of her reception and inform her that they owe another $1,700.00. Later on that night after the wedding was over, a friend of ours also informed us that they had a wedding at CGC the weekend before. She informed me that the bride was organizing everything and running around with her head cut off. Maybe over dramatic but, at this point ... I dont think so when we are $700.00 in the hole.

Let me just Say that Diana is AMAZING!!! Me and my wife could not have been happier with the way things went, we must be crazy because we did all of our wedding planning in the last 90 days before the big day, which needless to say was very stressful. From the minute we met Diana she made us feel very much at ease and helped guide us through this daunting task. Country Garden Caterers has an amazing menu with more so many choices, at first we were having a hard time deciding what we wanted because there were so many delicious choices, but then my wife saw something on the menu and it made it so much easier. They had a Whole Pig.... thats all it took for my wife. We had decided on Tri Tip and a whole pig as our main course. For the sides we had to get the garlic mashed potatoes that we had heard so much about from the staff at our venue. Like everything else from country garden they did not disappoint. The food was perfect. even the gross vegetables ( they were delicious or so im told because green stuff is what food eats) . Another thing that really made thing such a great experience was that Diana and Country Garden not only handle the catering they also took care of the Decor and Rentals. We wanted to have Long tables ( think the great hall in harry potter) in stead of the more traditional round tables and Diana was able to make that happen. Her experience with our venue also paid off for us because her knowledge was able to get us the most bang for our buck when it came to decorations. she knew exactly what was needed and what was just excess. this really helped us keep our costs down. Speaking of Cost. Country Garden absolutely has some of the best prices out there. we must have looked at about a dozen different caterers before finding our venue and were shocked at how good the prices were by comparison. On top of that Diana was able to make sure that we were getting the most for our money. We were also lucky enough to get Diana to be our day of coordinator which i must say was a life saver. She handled everything perfectly from keeping the photographer on time to making sure that everything was setup and decorated correctly. Which im sure was a bit of a challenge as we were making most of the decorations our selves and had only finished them the day before. Thanks to her everything went off with out a hitch and we were able to really enjoy our day knowing that everything was in good hands. From Start to Finish Diana and the Country Garden Staff were Amazing and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to have a worry free experience.

My husband and I hired Country Garden Caterers for our wedding at The Marconi Automotive Museum in November 2011. I had high standards for our special day. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! Diana was our event coordinator - please listen to her advice when planning your event because she knows her stuff! The staff (servers) who worked our event were professional, detail oriented and attentive to us and our guests. The set up of our cocktail hour was amazing - they paid attention to details that I hadnt expected (beautiful). I was floored at how beautiful our dining tables looked - the room was spectacular. We chose a sit-down dinner and the service was excellent. The servers would check in with me (the bride) periodically to make sure things were running smoothly (they did!). Our wedding and reception was everything we had hoped. Thank you to Country Garden Caterers, Diana and her team. I will hire them again for our next big event. Please do not hesitate to hire them - you will not be disappointed!
