Mel Dion and Cardinal Construction were a godsend to my family when we faced significant remodel needs to get our elderly parents home ready for new life as a vacation rental, and were having the work done from 800 miles away. What was most impressive was how Mel and the crew handled the situation when a huge storm caused indoor flooding. They did what needed to be done, protecting furnishings and personal property, securing the house to avoid further damage, and completing all repairs related to flooding without additional charge to us. Mel is a great communicator and she guided us through the many details and decisions involved in any extensive remodel, and provided photos to us so we could watch the progress from afar. She earned our trust and loyalty, and her top-notch professoinalism produced top-notch results. In addition, Mel really went above and beyond the scope of contractor work, and became a trusted resource for help with nearly every aspect of the house. I give Cardinal Construction my highest recommendation!

Ive always liked Mel as a person, but I was especially impressed at the job she and her crew did on my failing retaining wall. Not only did they do a perfect job, but they left the job site cleaner than they found it! On time with a friendly and knowledgeable crew. Mel has taken on various sized jobs for us, and has always completed them on time. Cardinal Construction isnt run by one of those Santa Cruz "surfing" contractors who skip out when the surf is up, but by a business person who makes commitments and meets them. Highly recommended.
