(5/2016) We hired Clough Construction again! Clough Construction is a pleasure to work with. We had fresh landscaping an were hoping to put off replacing a tricky 3 ft. retaining wall + 6 ft fence. Fate would not have that and our landscaping effort pushed the old fence to the brink. The neighbor we share the fence with is why the saying "tall fences make good neighbors" was invented (i.e. cranky). Scott Clough (co-owner) is a real professional, he met with me and my neighbor and deftly smoothed out the rough edges before the project started. The crew that worked on our job was skilled, professional and left a tidy worksite each night. The job was not easy as they had to navigate fresh planting and a downward slope that ended at the seam between the fence and the retaining wall. The crew foreman communicated the status of the project each night so we knew what to expect at every step. Deanne Clough (co-owner) is the friendly voice at the other end of the phone scheduling the project and following up with me after the project was done to make sure I am satisfied. The end result is a beautiful retaining wall + fence created with sustainably harvested wood. I couldnt be happier and I would whole-heartedly recommend Clough Construction. (6/2012) Clough Construction is the best! We needed to have a fence replaced in a short time frame. Clough Construction was able to turn around our project in quickly. The result was a beautiful fence that exceeded our expectations. The whole process from quote to finished project was handled professionally. It was a joy to work with Clough Construction. I would definitely hire them again for any fence or deck project.

Clough Construction truly deserves 5 stars! From our initial contact with Deanne to the on-site visits/design plan with Scott to the construction team, everything was on-point. Clough installed 2 large decking areas on a extremely steep hillside. A rather difficult application which several other contractors would not even bid on. Clough had the right team to get it done. Due to the slope, the scope of the project had to be re-worked, but Scott was patient with us to finalize a design plan that would also work within our budget. He came back multiple times during the build to make sure we were all on the same page. The crew worked quickly and professionally. They showed up on time, were friendly and cleaned up daily. Rick, the foreman communicated clearly and involved us in any design decisions that needed to be made. The workmanship is excellent and the finished deck/railing is beautiful. It was completed on time and the job site was immaculate upon completion. We would not hesitate to recommend CC and are planning to use them again on future projects. Clough Construction did an amazing job on my deck, ripping out and replacing the old one that was very hazardous. The guys (and gals in the office) are ALWAYS professional...Scott came out, ON TIME on our initial visit, explained the entire process clearly, did ALL of the work according to the permits and codes, the craftsmanship is unbelievable and the efficiency of the crew were working together as a unified whole. After interviewing 7 "businesses" that claim to "do decks", Clough Construction was the very EASY CLEAR choice. Dont go to anyone else, seriously, one contractor let his hunting dog loose on my property not knowing that I have cats and that we have a fox family that lives on our property.....and that the dog "left me a present" that the contractor refused to pick up only telling his dog "good boy". Dont get the clowns, seriously, Scott Clough is the only one, and his team, I trust. They are the efficient, self reliant, quick, efficient, and each member of the crew has an understanding of what true craftsmanship isand sense of detail.

I highly recommend Clough Construction. They recently built a fence and gate for us and it turned out beautiful. Deanne and Blake went out of their way to make sure we were happy with every detail. They really went above and beyond. We have worked with a variety of contractors over many years and have never had a better experience or one that even comes close. I was worried they would be expensive because they are so highly rated by everyone, so we got competitive bids, including a “cheap” company a neighbor recommended. Clough’s bid was right in the middle, just a little more than the “cheap” company. They showed up on time. All the workers were polite and professional. They stayed on schedule and the project looks great.

Working with Clough Construction has been amazing! They are very professional, responsive, and obviously care a great deal about making sure that their clients are happy. They also care a great deal about the work they do. We used Clough several years back for a small deck project and remember them fondly, so we decided to have them come in to help us with an area on our property that appeared quite challenging; this area needed some kind of decking to help the odd-looking space become usable. They ended up designing and constructing a brand new two-tiered deck that far surpassed our expectations. We couldnt be happier with the end result, and we couldnt be happier with Clough. We highly recommend them!

Clough Construction recently completed a two level entry deck and adjoining long retaining wall for us. The finished product exceeded our high expectations for quality and appearance. In the past we have undertaken other building and remodeling projects with good contractors but Cloughs performance was clearly the best. It was a joy to work with the Clough construction team. They used their years of experience and skill to design and create a very pleasing addition to our house. Even with their focus on quality we found them to be competitive. The project cost came within the original quote in spite of our requests for changes during building. They have earned our strongest endorsement.

Clough construction is one of the best contractors weve worked with. This is the first Google review Ive written, but I thought it worth sharing our great experience with the company. They recently completed several redwood fences for us on tricky terrain. The company is very professional and well run, and super responsive to the customer. The quality of the fence work has been outstanding, with great attention to detail and immediately taking care of last requests we had on the site. Both the management (Scott and Deanne) and the work crew were fantastic to work with. We checked out a number of other fence contractors before going with Clough - we were very glad we did.

Clough exceeded my expectations! They were recommended by several local residents. Scott, the owner, arrived quickly for the estimate, and was the first one back to me. The crew was respectful, diligent, pleasant, and very very expert. They didnt mind me looking over at them whenever I wanted. They demolished my old decayed 320sf deck and hauled all the debris away. Then they built a brand new 320sf redwood deck with railing and privacy screen on one side, on the second story, on a hill. I like that they use redwood that has been sustainably harvested (FSC lumber). The final inspection garnered a rave review from the BUILDING INSPECTOR!
