I used to work for this company for years in the past, with tons of call backs and 5 stars next to my name. I came to this office to get re-hired around May 2010, after the tile company I started went out of business, and a fat, rude lady, eating at her desk said it was lunch time and to come back at 1:30 pm. I come back at 1: 30 pm, she says, "everyone now has to call on Tuesdays at 9:30am and theyll tell you what your next step is" no application, no nothing, telling me something she couldve said when she was eating her lunch. I call on Tuesday at 9:30 am, and it was all the way busy, until 9:45 am when they tell me, "no, youre supposed to call at 9:30 am". Ok, so June passes, where I dont get through at all. I call in July, and they tell me July is booked, call in August. I call in August, they tell me until September 15, 2010 is booked. Ok, so I call on this date and now its not the local Stockton Labor Ready office anymore. When you call the Stockton Labor Ready office, you get the Main Corporate Office in another state, with an automated system and everything. A man answers and says, "well, you can just go in and apply any day anytime.." pretty much saying, "why are you calling me? just go in and apply.." kind of tone. I walk into the office to apply, and 3 middle aged women, in the middle of a conversation, stopped, looked at me up and down as I walk in, like how dare I just walk into a staffing agency to try and get a job" and rudely, they said "excuse me, you dont just walk in here, you call every Tuesdays at 9:30 am." I was so upset, I just walked out, cause I was just doing what the corporate office told me to do. I am a very hard working man, just looking to get by and work, and they looked at me and treated me as if I were dirt, just because I interrupted them in their conversation. I dont know what it is, it seems to me that they judge you based on your skin color and pass you off, so these workers can get back to eating and engaging in conversation. I wonder if their Corporate office knows, and if they dont, they will soon, because this is horrible treatment theyre giving to potential employees who can make them a lot of money, as I have in the past, but they wont even give me 5 minutes to look at my work history. If youre looking for a job here, good luck, cause youre in for a few months wait and get ready to be degraded and belittled. If youre looking to use this place for a staffing agency for your business, dont do it, cause this is the laziest, rudest and most judgmental staffing agency I have EVER encountered, and Ive been to quite a few in this town.

I been calling everyday for work. Everyday for over three months. Its always the same line "we dont have any work right now." We put people to work...is the Labor Ready quote. Unfortunately its never put me to work. I am young able body, with plenty of experience. I really dont understand why in Stockton this Labor Ready is so useless. I always thought if you are willing to bust your hump working, people should give you a shot. Their is no shot at this Stockton branch. Dont waste your time. Larry Patterson

The idea of Labor Ready is great. They need to get a van to help get people to work like they do in other states. It would be nice if the people were always friendly ---- to everyone. Posted information on the front window or door about the office hours and times to come in would be very helpful. COURTESY is contagious!
