I used to go to 24Hrs for 3+ years and Ive seen and heard all the bad attention Planet Fitness has gotten. I have to be honest and say its all complete bullshit! I get the same results at Planet fitness like 24Hrs. They have all the machines I need. Its a great gym. Love my workouts here. I never had any issues with anyone or anything. I come to this gym everyday, employees are so welcoming. I am greeted with genuine smiles every night, they are not personal trainers, some are not in shape but I wont gym them like other ignorant people. Not everyone has a good health condition or metabolism. I pay 19.99 every month, I bring along my friend and get a great burn. I cant complain. Im in shape and not paying a ridiculous amount for my exercise. I see a lot of young college students at the gym, I think we are pretty smart paying less at this gym. Its very clean gym, machines, restrooms, massage area, and tanning rooms are all squeaky clean! Yes they have pizza night and bagel morning but I can careless, they dont shove it down my throught. Its my own decision to eat it or not. Some people will have a slice, its no big deal. Get over it. Sign up NOW! I recommend Planet Fitness to anyone out there who can care less of peoples opinions. Come check out this gym and decide on your own!

They didnt advertise this, like their competitor whose namesake capitalizes on the 24hr nature of their availability, but they are indeed open 24hrs and not only that, from experience I can say that this is much cleaner than that other gym I alluded to which is frequented by a clientele that is seemingly much more pretentious and narcissistic at three times the monthly cost - not only that, but really, who actually needs a pool and basketball court in their gym when your only a mile from the beaches of #SuperSunnySouthernCalifornia anyway? Ive only been a member here for a few days but I can tell you that everyone is super friendly, approachable, and their personal training staff is available free of charger too! Did I mention how much cleaner this facility is over the other three major chains in the area that charge three times as much per month? This is a no brainer - Planet Fitness rocks!

Visiting from out of state, so my review is based on a comparison of my home PF. First, its a good size PF, but was very very crowded. Greeted nicely by the staff. My only complaint would be direct across the sign in desk is a good size stretching area. Laying on the floor when I arrived was 3 wadded up wet paper towels on the floor. Definitely in the line of sight of the desk employees. An hour later, when doing my cool down, the same trash was still laying in the same spot. And a 4th paper towel was in the middle of the room. So -1 for over crowded and -1 for cleanliness. Id go back, but the amount of people there would make me look for another home gym.

This Planet Fitness is always well kept and maintained. Staff is attentive and polite and the gym is not as crowded as some other places can get. Very convenient if you have things to do in the mall but need to work out afterwards. I often visit my barber and fine mens salon but workout right before which is very time-saving. Prices are always right and features such as guest passes and the ability to work with a physical trainer by appointment is without question a great caveat.

Used to work for planet fitness back in 12 while I went to school and just the values they stand for attract members without a judgemental mind set also you never ever feel intimidated by anyone. Everyone is friendly and respectful which is good specially for the ladies. If youre looking for a place with free training and a comfortable atmosphere you couldnt have chosen a better gym. PS. You cant beat $20 a month for one year and get unlimited tanning and massage !

Their billing is a circus. My bank paused transactions for two days as a security measure. When I fixed it, Planet Fitness was the only one that refused to use the same card. I had to actually go through the process of getting a completely new card only because of Planet Fitness due to this stupidity. This all happened right before I am in the middle of a major move, now they dont take new card info over the phone, all the while I have been accruing late fees.

They have a lot of good equipment, but the staff isnt always helpful. I was told I would get a tour when I first went in, but I did not. The prices cant be beat for sure, but if youre up in Palos Verdes, its hard to make the trip down sometimes after a long day. The bathroom is clean, and they have a lot of lockers to store your stuff. If the staff was a little more helpful I would give this place a 5.

Cheap gym membership starting at $10 / month. A pretty good deal considering they have the basic equipment for cardio and strength training. The gym lives on its theme of an intimidation free workout environment. A good gym for beginners. Not the most high end but relatively clean. Locker rooms feel cleaner than many 24 hour fitness that Ive been to. Overall, a good deal for $10/month.

Clean facility and nice staff. Avoid rush hours and you will like this gym. Go during the rush hour and you will regret it. Place is badly over crowded. Not even sure what the maximum capacity allowed but that does not seem to stop them from signing up new members. A couple of regular gym rats peacocking around but otherwise good crowd for the most part.

Years ago when I was in shape, I would go to 24Hour and then graduated to UFC Gym. I used to hear so much trash talking about Planet Fitness and how it wasnt a "real" gym and blah blah blah. Im glad I chose this place to start my fitness journey again, its everything you need without any of the B.S.

Was skeptical to join this gym because I was not sure what to think. It is wonderful! If you are new to the whole gym community or are just looking for a more affordable option this place is great! They have all the equipment you would need and offer so much with both types of memberships.

Its not like what you always hear on the Internet, this place is pretty decent you can do almost all exercises if you tweak a little, the staff are really nice and the place is clean and its all for 10 $ a month! I mean really you can do a lot worse for that amount

nice and clean good gym. I wouldve given 5 stars if it wanst for the showers. The toilets are right in front of the showers so when you take shower, you can smell things.... instead of that, I would give 5 stars

Planet fitness is a medium sized gym with good prices for memberships. Machines are clean and employees clean the empty ones during the day. sometimes its full, sometimes its not. But a good place to workout!

Very Clean Facility, Friendly Staff, the only thing missing from other PF locations is WiFi? Maybe in the future this not so important service will be provided at this Torrance, California location :)
