The female staff at this facility were extremely rude and catty. They made me feel far from like i "belonged" like the PF motto entails. Mutiple times when trying to enter this PF i was made to stand there at the counter and wait for minutes on end (often when i was pressed for time) because my black card member (my boyfriend) had walked into the locker room just moments before i got to scan my guest tag, so after being asked if my black card member was with me and replying yes, they asked me to wait until he came out just to verify i was his guest. My boyfriend and I have came to this PF everyday for almost 2 week straight, they knew who i was and that my black card member was there but made me wait anyway. Not only was there this constant inconvenience, but NEVER was i notified i could not leave my stuff overnight in the locker room or else it would be cut when I registered. However, I found this out when my stuff was missing and another persons lock was where mine once was (it had been on there 3 days to which i consecutively was there, i had alos been there just that morning). When i asked about my belongings the team member with blonde hair and a nose ring(who made me constantly wait for my black card memeber) explained to me I was not allowed to keep stuff there overnight and that the locks were cut everynight. I had seen other locks in the locker room that had been there fors days upon days, including my boyfriends lock that was secured in the mens locker room for 2 weeks without being cut. After waiting for 10 minutes for my belongings to be brought out (they couldnt find it at first and had to call ssomeone to find it) they handed me a giant cardboard box on the front with my belongings in trash bags for me to take. I have never felt more embarrassed or unwlecome in a PF than at that moment, basically handed my stuff like I was being singled and kicked out. I brought the box out to the car to find out a bunch of the bags were not even mine, I had to sort though the bags and find my belongings. I even found one of my shirts in ANOTHER persons trash bag.. on top of it all, i updated the billing information to my boyfriends account the day before this incident. Accidentally giving the wrong account info the following day I told a team member at the front desk that i had given them wrong billing information for my bank account and not my boyfriends like intended, and that i would be by in the evening after work to give them the correct info bc i knew the billing was the next day. I was told okay with a smile, but when i came back to update the information I was told that they couldnt use my new account information until next month and that the other card was already billed causing my account to overdraft with endless fees. All the female staff of this PF managed to do throughtout my experience here was chat it up to each other behind the counter and make me feel uncomfortable at a place I pay good money to be at. I will be cancelling my membership at this PF and will NEVER be taking my money here again and wouldnt suggest anyone else to either. Go to a different pf location if you must, but the catty uncomfortable tension and environment the staff here give off is not worth $20 a month.

If you have any contact with Lynn at this location, put all communication in writing and mail it retaining one copy for yourself. After several conversations with her regarding my contract - including one where she refused to allow me to speak to Robbie - I had to file a BBB complaint to finally cancel my contract and, in the response, Robbie quoted Lynn as saying that I said "no one ever reads those" in reference to my contract which is not only a blatant lie but anyone who has ever even had a single conversation with me would had seriously doubted. It is unfortunate that Robbie doesnt seen to be taking the feedback from multiple complaints on this woman to heart but at least Im finally done dealing with them. ****** Im out of stars to take away but the customer service continues to get worse. The last time I was in, one of the employees looked up my info and explained in detail that I could cancel this month since my contract renews next month. I called today and got someone named Lynn and asked to cancel my membership. She informs me that I have to wait until the end of next month to call or pay a termination fee. Seriously? You cant just put an end contract date in the computer for then? Of course not, their hoping that Ill forget to do it and they can pocket a little extra cash. Absurd. Unsurprisingly for the customer service at this location, she sounded rushed and annoyed and didnt even ask for a reason much less see if there was a way to change my mind. Rather supports the other reviewers comments about the lack of customer service and retention. BTW..were loving 24 Hour Fitness on Abilene. <3 **** Four months to go on my one year contract and Im taking away another star. The equipment is fine - in fact, they just added new equipment but if you have to interact with the staff to gain access to the "Spa" features that the black card membership includes, the experience absolutely tanks. When we joined, the people that they had working in the morning were so friendly that it made you WANT to go regardless of weather, etc. Now, I can count the number of people that are pleasant on one hand. Today, there were several employees including the trainer and one new gentleman who appeared to be in training. Rocky (the trainer) was his usual friendly, chipper self and the new guy was clearly trying hard to make a good impression and was very friendly. The "regular" staff members who were manning the desk ranged from annoyed to be being asked to do their job to one blond guy (couldnt make out his name tag) who crossed right over the border to rude. I always speak politely and say please and thank you but I was still willing to consider that maybe it was something in my body language that was resulting in the attitude until I saw two employees look at each other and roll their eyes as another customer walked away from the counter after having politely inquired about the price of the earbuds for sale. If you dont like dealing with people, maybe customer service isnt the best job for you and, if you want to retain members past the 12 month sign up point, maybe hiring people with good attitudes AND spending some time in the location to watch how they interact with your customers would help.

My son and I really enjoyed going to Planet Fitness. The gym is clean, the machines are in good working order, and it is near our house. Friday July 31, 2015 when we went to workout, we were told that our membership was canceled. Apparently when our bank account number was entered, it was entered incorrectly and when Planet Fitness went to pull our membership fees, the bank came back with a message of “that account does not exist”. When we asked what we could do to correct this, we were told that there would be a $20 charge for each of us. We questioned why we were getting charged $20 when we had done what we were supposed to. We asked them to check the bank account number and they told us they could not check it as they could only see the last 4 digits. We then called the bank and they checked the records for the day that it was supposed to be pulled and the bank said that Planet Fitness did not try to pull from the bank on that day. Now confused, we asked to speak to the manager. The manager came over and we asked him how we could correct this. He told us that he could not change anything, only the owner is the only one that can make changes. We asked to speak to the owner and was told he is out of town. I asked if we could open another account and the manager told us that we were cancelled and we could not open another account. We were terminated and that is it. So the result of this review is that we have lost our membership to Planet Fitness through no fault of our own and cannot get it back. This is really sad that companies do business this way. I hope that this doesnt happen to very many people as it will definitely effect their membership. The end result is that I would like to have our memberships reinstated without a penalty for anyone. Everyone makes mistakes and that is a fact of life. The mistake can be repaired and everyone can move on. I dont think anyone needs to be mistreated because of this error.
