My review may or may not be applicable to everyone, but in rare cases it might be helpful. Overall, my experience has been positive and I would recommend using this recruiting station if you are considering joining the Army for several reasons which I explain... I recently transferred from out-of-State (moved back in with family) and this recruiting station happened to be the closest to my home. When I walked in I was unsure of how my transfer would work and I wondered if this particular recruiting station would be able to prepare me as well as my previous one did. To that effect, my expectations were not only met but exceeded. The recruiters with whom I have spoken to immediately contacted my recruiter out-of-state and began coordinating how I could and would continue with my training prior to my ship date in a few months. I was relieved and thankful that accommodations for my situation were not only being made but handled with ease by the recruiters. I have been training for a week now with this station and the exceptional amount of pride and camaraderie among recruits is astonishing and reassuring for a new person like myself that Im in good hands. With myself personally and with other recruits, I am impressed with the great leadership and balance among recruiters to challenge recruits and reward them with praise for a job well done. I really appreciate the fact that their Future Soldier Training Program is held twice weekly. In addition to the physical fitness workouts, the recruiters have incorporated other essential preparatory information such as a Red Cross Emergency Contact briefing. In just a short time with my experience, I am confident that this team of recruiters is dedicated to preparing their recruits to be successful at Basic Combat Training. Really -- what more could you ask for from a recruiting station?

I can personally reccomend Powers Recruiting station to anyone who is serious about joining the United States Army. I came to Powers from another recuriting station, and I have gotten nothing but satisfaction out of my experience. I feel as if they really care about how well I do during the few months I have between enlistment, and shipping out for BCT. All of the recuriters are knowledgable, friendly, and are willing to help you, be it with starting your enlistment process, or giving you feedback for your workouts. Powers Army Recruting gives all of the Future Soldiers in the program plenty of oppurtunities to excell, even before they go off to BCT. The workouts are regular, intense, and vigorous, and by coming regularly and pouring everything you have into it, they make sure that you will be ready for Basic Training, and even help you become ahead of the game. The Powers Recruting community is a close knit one, and everyone looks out for eachother--laugh together, sweat together, work together. They begin building knowledge of the Army up from day one, and continue to do so until youve shipped out for Basic Training. Personally, Powers Recuriting has given me a big push up into the Army, and I am one hundred precent behind the things that they do. Powers goes above and beyond the basic Recruting experience, giving the Future Soldiers numerous oppurtunities that no other Recruting station has to offer, such as work with weapons simulators, and Life Quest Fitness Training. I try to come to as many of the events that Powers Recruting has to offer because I know that they care about how well I do while I prepare to go into the Army, and I know that in the long run, working through Powers will go a long way towards making me a better soldier.

I am so glad I came to this office! While being senior at palmer high I was doing my research on military branches like the Air Force and Navy and went to see recruiters in both branches. I wanted to join either the Navy or the Air Force, but was not treated well during my visits with them. At the Navy, they were trying to force me into a job that I did not want and at the Air Force, my recruiter was actually trying to enlist into the Army and passed me off to someone else. I took his admission about wanting to be a Soldier as a sign I should check out the Army. I mean really if their own recruiters are trying to join another service, there has got to be something to it! I went to the Army office on Powers in Colorado Springs and the Recruiters were straight forward and honest about everything. I especially liked how the Army’s job selection process worked. Unlike the other branches to include the Marines and Coast Guard, I was able to reserve the job I wanted before going all the way to Denver MEPS and being pressured into a job they wanted me to take. (Which was the exact sales practices that the Navy tried doing to me)! After enlisting the Powers Recruiting Station has this great training program that got me ready for Basic Training. They hooked up with a non-profit company called LifeQuest that developed an individual training program for me that helped me get physically fit before going to Basic. It most definitely helped me a lot when I went to training and saw everyone else around me struggling to get in shape…I was already there. Now that I have graduated training, I am ready to use my college scholarship they gave me to go to school. Going to the Army and the recruiters at the Powers Office was the best decision I could have made.

The Best Recruiting Station that i had the pleasure of going through. I came in with many concerns and questions and all of the recruiters were very knowlegable, honest and helpful. I had tried to contact the Air Force, to have some of my questions answered, and they were very rude and told me that it would be a year wait to start my training. As soon as that phone call was done, I had known that the USAF was not for me. I have some friends and family that are in the Navy and Marines, and after hearing all of their stories about the process to get in, I didnt even want to bother with either one of them. So i decided to come into the Army Recruiting Station, where I was met by the friendliest recruiters, they took care of all my concerns and helped me pick a job that properly suited me, instead of just getting me to sign up whether I thought I would enjoy the job or not. The recruiters also stay in touch after I enlisted up to the day that I left to make sure that I was taken care of in every aspect that they can help in. They have a one of a kind training program, that is like no other excercise program I have ever done, that got me physically fit and prepared me for basic training. Even after I left to begin my training, the recruiters were very helpful with my wife, and any question or problem that she may of had. If I had to do it all again I would definately come to this office knowing that I was in good hands.

Powers Recruiting Station is great. They came to me helped me choose the job I wanted even when it wasnt available my recruiter waited and kept looking for the job I wanted. When it finally came up I chose it and I was on my way to becoming a soldier. Some good things about the Military is that it will help pay for college. Also if you have a Scholarship and you join you can start at a higher rank then someone who just came in with just a diploma. Another good is coming in on Mondays and Wensdays at 3:25 P.m. and participating in Physical Training (PT). Which takes place at Life Quest which is a organization that helps soldiers who where having problems and help them become theyre 100% again. Life Quest has agreed to assist Powers Recruiting Station with the PT they need for theyre Future Soldiers.Which helped me with the PT in Basic, making it no challenge. While I was in Basic I was tested in the skills and had obstacles put in my way and I was broken down just to build me back up. its 90% mental 10% physical as long as you remember that and find some way to stay motivated, its cake. When I got to Advance Individual Training (AIT) the PT was more of a challenge, but it was better then basic so I felt better about it. Also in AIT I was taught how to do and preform my job correctly, dependeing on your job depends on the length of the training.
