I called last week for an appointment for a cut and color. I have never been before and they said they had nothing but they could put me on for the next Thursday. In that time I was sent over 5 confirmations of the appointment. I took vacation off work to go to it and it was really important as I was leaving on vacation. Today, 40 min before my 11 AM time Scott called to tell my my stylist quit or was fired, it was not clear. He then put me through a one hour ordeal while I sit out in my hot car on my cell phone whereby he was deciding if I could be seen by someone else. During one call he thought I was on mute, but I wasnt and I heard someone else use the f word and say "just tell her something, but dont tell her that". On the last call he told me he would call me back in 5 min after he checked on something. I waited 35 min in my hot car on a 90 degree day for him to call. When I called back it was 1130AM and he said he was sorry but he forgot about me. He then said that "I dont know what to do with all her clients, there is no one to see you". I said I dont think I want to go to a salon that treats its customers this way and he said, "thanks have a nice day". I am surprised that they couldnt offer me anything like a free hair cut or 20% off, something to get me to reschedule but they could care less about my wasted vacation time, me sweating in my car, etc. Avoid this place and believe the other negative reviews like I should have.

Heres the deal. I had the Groupon for cut, color and blow dry. Im basically in the parking lot for my 9AM appointment and I get a call saying the stylist doing my hair wont be coming, and that they can get me in at 1PM. I had planned my morning/day around this appointment. I get it though, things happen. The gal on the phone offered to throw in a free brow wax for inconvenience. All right, Ill take it. I go in at 1PM. The guy that did my hair was honestly really great. Did a great job on my hair. I could tell he paid very close attention to what he was doing. So...you ask....why the two star rating? The same stylist takes me to the back room to do my eyebrows. Everything seemed normal about the waxing. He even tweezed the remaining leftover hairs, so it seemed. This is until I got to my car and realized that basically no hairs had even been removed. Clearly this young man was not trained in waxing. My brows were just as bushy as they were when I stepped foot in the door. I was grateful for the free brow wax, but COME ON! At least have someone do it who is trained in eyebrows! Ive been having my eyebrows done for 15 years and this has never happened. I went straight to another salon for a brow wax. Will not be going back.

I have always had great cuts & service at Ergo Aveda but tonight I walked in for my 5 pm appt & the receptionist couldnt find my appt. She stuttered & stammered & looked at me & said theres nothing she could do. I explained that I made the appt this past Monday for this specific hairstylist & wondered if she had anything after 4pm this week & that receptionist (not sure its the same person) told me the only time was Friday @5pm, which I accepted. Not even an "Im sorry". After being denied my appt tonight, I then addressed a problem with a purchase of a 3oz bottle of their thickening tonic (the sprayer didnt work) for which I bought 2 at my previous appt cuz of "double point offer". She asked me if I purchased it from Aveda for which I said, yes, this is your product. She sprayed "the jet stream" & said "it works". I explained that it is suppose to spray. She said she could not give me another sprayer because she had no testers available. (You cant take the sprayer from another new bottle?). Obviously, I was not pleased and left, heading to Wisconsin tomorrow morning without a haircut. This receptionist IS NOT good for your company cuz she knows nothing about customer service!

I tried this place because Aveda normally has high quality and clean places. I cant even believe this place gets 4 stars. 1st was bikini wax: The woman doing my wax was unsure of herself clearly but I gave her a chance. She gave me 2 towels to cover myself with...both were grossly STAINED. She was not skilled. I was nervous about cleanliness the whole time. There was thick dust on baseboards and mirror. This was the longest and most awkward wax Ive ever had. 2nd was haircut: While I was sitting in chair waiting for her, there was a tray next to me with scissors, comb, brush, etc that had hair all over it and a towel...all from previous client. The stylist was about to use the comb on me when I stopped her. She denied that it was dirty and just started combing my hair. I should have just walked out. This spa and Aveda really disappointed me. NOT CLEAN. The staff is either improperly trained regarding hygiene or unmotivated. I will NEVER RETURN.

I cant believe that Aveda lets this salon use their name. The stylists look like they just rolled out of bed and came to work. One told me that the pedicure chairs they have in the back are all broken, have been for years, and there are no plans to have them fixed or replaced. They havent taken down the nail services off their website, though. I had my hair colored and cut at the salon and it was a disaster. The colorist (the lead colorist at the salon) couldnt match the color and so she just went really dark - and she missed spots - so my hair looked terrible. I asked for side swept bangs and that was also a mistake. I feel like she butchered my hair. She couldnt follow the long layers that I already had and instead just did a blunt cut - not a good cut for wavy hair. Do yourself a favor and stay very far away from this place.

Had a pedicure after months of waiting for the nail area to be "remodeled". The area didnt look newly remodeled. Very disappointed to see that this Aveda salon has tubs with jets! Hopefully they are properly sanitized but the inside of the tub was not shiny. I thought Aveda didnt use jets. When I asked to pick nail color I was handed a box of polish bottles. The colors I wanted were dried out. Then she handed me another box. For a newly remodeled nail area they could have splurged on new nail polish! The person who did the pedi was sweet but very inexperienced. She left my feet a greasy mess that Im still trying to get wiped off. I didnt get anything that resembled a massage. They dont use exclusively Aveda products. Very disappointed!!

I called at 11 to see if they could make a same day appointment. I was told this was possible, and to come in at 3:45 for a cut and color. I arrived (after driving from Southwest Denver to Stapleton) and they didnt have any record of the appointment. No one tried to apologize, they treated me as if it was my fault the appointment was incorrectly booked--even though the person on the line went through the full appointment process with me-asking name/number/ever been here before/giving directions, etc. Had to pay for parking, and drive 20 minutes to get there. Thanks for wasting an hour out of my afternoon. Ill never go back.
