I bought a groupon for this Salon when I figured it was time to get something done with my hair. I have about one year and a half growth since going chemo and had one HORRID haircut elsewhere so I was scared to get my hair cut again. I paid for a cut and color although I was not sure that color was what I wanted. I went in with a few requirements, I wanted to blend the platinum into my normal color (when my hair first grew back it was WHITE blond and I still have random spots of it through my hair), I wanted a style that I could grow out and wanted to get rid of the grown out mullet the last stylist gave me. Paul is an EXCELLENT listener. More often than not I feel like a stylist has their own ideas and ignores what you want, but that was NOT the case with Paul. He really listened to the history of my hair and what direction that I wanted to go with my hair. He didnt go too crazy or too bold (he probably knew there would be an anxiety attack if he had)....he went to perfection. The Color I can not begin to tell you how happy I am with the coloring. He did a mixture of low lights and highlights...bringing out my natural copper tones while blending in the blond I had left over. I have spent the last year and a half not happy with my hair, feeling like it doesnt belong to me because it was so different than my pre-chemo hair...but that has changed. Paul managed to blend the colors so that my hair looks almost exactly like its pre-chemo self. I had to work hard not to cry in the salon when I looked in the mirror and saw myself again. My husband advised against getting any color was impressed and loved what Paul did with it. I can not tell you how happy it makes me to see my natural color (in an unnatural form...lol) again. The Cut I informed Paul that if he needed to he could cut my hair as short as chin length, since I knew it has been neglected and had a horrible haircut previously. But once again he listened to me when I blabbered on about how nice it was to finally have the length to put it in a pony tail and how I want to grow it out. He managed to save the length while adding style and texture to it. He listened to me when I told him I have 2 kids so my normal hair style is wash and go (brush if I am lucky) and today after showering, my hair air-dried as normal and looks as great as it did right after the haircut yesterday. He communicated with me every step of the way on what his plan was for my hair and while cutting he had a slight change in ideas and cleared it with me first. Paul was very professional and friendly. He made sure I left with the knowledge to keep my color looking great and how to change it up a little myself if I wanted to (with the Aveda products). Everyone in the shop was friendly. I was really impressed. I will definitely be returning! As a matter of fact, I have already made my return appointment for a touch up in 8 weeks.

I adore all the stylists at Namaste. I adore the mood and feel of the salon its self. Its very spiritual, relaxing and fun in nature. I adore the front desk facilitator. He actually offered me a free hand massage while my color was marinating. Just fabulous. My stylist Jenee is amazing at what she does. Shes a true artist. I know many of the techniques can be taught, and shes learned them to the point of perfection, but I also know that every person is born with at least a few gifts that are theirs alone pertaining to their careers. Hers are the ability to put you at ease the minute you sit in her chair, and the ability to create AMAZING styles. I quite literally leave there feeling like Ive just hung out with a great family, and I look like a celebrity. Thats how gifted Jenee is. In fact, I see pictures of actual celebrities that deeply need her help. She is an artist on every level. Color. Cut. Styling. Blowouts. I come to her for blowouts, and I keep it as long as I can, and dread the day I have to wash it out. She has suggested product to me thats literally CHANGED my hair from frizzy, thin and really quite sad, to bouncy, thick and joyful. There are no words that can describe my gratitude except... thank you Jenee, I love you dearly.

Very disappointed! Made an appointment for an all over color and cut. When I got there, they said that I needed to make another appointment because my hair was too dark for what I wanted, which I had gotten before in the same allotted time slot, except the color I wanted was actually darker. They stated that I needed to bleach my hair for the color I wanted. Ive been lighter before and never had my hair bleached in the past. They then stated that they could do a test strip to see how well my hair could hold the color, but when I brought it up again later, it was clear that they didnt want to do that either. I told them Id just get a haircut, which was rushed due to another appointment (they made sure to tell me that too). I walked out needing to put my hair up. No recommendations for a solution whatsoever. And, when I made my appointment initially, they kept giving me the wrong dates and times. I wont be going back.

LOVED my stylist, nicest guy on the planet. My low rating is for several reasons. It took three hours...partial highlights & a 30 second cut (which is what I asked for) but three hours? I think it is a bait & switch with the groupon. I paid for the groupon...$40. & then they charge all these extra fees, another $40. plus tip. Dont know where the "deal" was. Then, I come home & the back of my yellow shirt covered in hair dye. Everyones "gown" was falling off. The decor was pretty tacky. But the workers were all very nice. My hair color...looked good in the salon, but when I got home..it was very red...I wanted blonde. Dont fall for "Groupon" bait & switch.

I had a very disheartening experience this afternoon.. I walked in to grab a quick clean up on my fade haircut, and was curious of the price of the shave, as a few other Aveda salons charge be around $10.00 to shave as t only takes about 5 minutes to do. I was told that the price was $22.00 but it would be less with the students..which was fine with me, but I asked, to be sure we were on the same page, "its $22 for just a head shave, not a cut?" The receptionists response was, "you can go somewhere else." What kind of customer service is that? Wow. If I were management I would reconsider my front door personality. Appalling.

Before the Broadway Salon opened, the 9th street salon was the only salon I used while living in Denver. The overall environment is relaxing and has wonderful aromatherapy from the line of Aveda products. As with the Broadway Salon, the staff are friendly, professional, and make you feel at home. The stylist at the time saw exactly what he needed to do to cut/style my fine, thinning hair. My hair never looked so good.... Thank you for allowing me a chance to share my experiences.
