Wow. There are no words. Jeremy Bronson at Occasions is the man behind the magic, and he is amazing. He had us at hello, and the goat-cheese chive potatoes and macaroni and cheese bar sealed the deal. Jeremy and his staff are exceptional; they made us our own special plates of passed cocktail snacks and dinner fare so that my now-husband and I could be sure to eat during the reception. Not only was the food beyond compare (and people just cant stop talking about the macaroni and cheese with pernod!), Jeremy and his staff really care about you and your day. They listen to your vision and plan their plating and presentation around that. For example, we had a lot of rustic decor and sunflowers, so Occasions used birch or aspen risers and re-used our sunflower sprays from the ceremony on the stations to echo that detail. More than that, Jeremy actually saved the day. There was a snafu with one of our other vendors two weeks before the wedding and, at the final walk through, it looked like there was no way to fix the problem. All of the sudden, Jeremy piped up that he had been texting with a good friend of his, who was available the day of the wedding. Jeremy put us in touch with his friend - and we had a new vendor lined up that afternoon. He helped us avert a potential catastrophe, and I am so grateful for his kindness, emotional intelligence, and ability to problem solve on the fly. Occasions is unparalleled - the food is delicious; the staff is excellent and kind; and the company (and Jeremy in particular!) goes out of its way to make you feel special, important, and loved. So look no more - Occasions is the best choice out there!

Used for our wedding on 7/30/16. Let me start by saying their food and chefs are really good. We had to go through the experience of booking with Gourmet and them being acquired by Occasions a couple months before the wedding, which was a littler scary but the tasting and the pastry chef coming with the company seemed to make the transition easier. Day of, as the bride and groom we felt ignored by their staff, outside of the first couple interactions. I had to have family members get us refills and didnt even have a drink for the first toast. Our wedding cake was not what we had requested and looked horrible, they did end up refunding that. They dropped the ball on communication with our planner for the cake cutting utensils too which led to a very awkward moment. The worst part is beer wasnt served to our guests during our cocktail hour and we had to return two almost full kegs the next day which ended up a big waste of money. We confirmed this with several guests and family members, yet the caterer was defensive and pretty much lied in her response about this issue. Overall, the food is amazing. Service I felt like they just never wanted to deal with us from the start and we were being "faked smiled at" with half service to get through an overload of work that sadly was dumped on the workers from the buyout of Gourmet. When you are planning a special day like a wedding it sucks to be leaving and hear your bride talking about her wedding cake being ugly and feeling ignored. Things happen but Occasions definitely isnt worth the risk if you ask us and I think they bit off more than they can chew currently.

When looking for a caterer for our wedding we had two priorities - 1. Friendly staff that actually care about our event 2. Amazing food - not boring wedding food. Occasions was the last (out of 6 caterers) that we met with. After meeting with Lynn, discussing my vision and wants and wishes and tasting all the food we signed the contract right there!!! Lynn was amazing! She is s former interior designer so she "knows" how to set up and work an event. The food was outstanding!! For our wedding we had : appetizers passed - shrimp and grits spoon (a huge hit!!!) - tomato soup and grilled cheese shooter - mini monte cristo. We had a wonderful salad and for dinner we had the herb mashed potatoes, grilled veg, the best Mac and cheese in the world!!!!!, peppercorn filet and lemon herb stuffed chicken. We got so many compliments from guests how amazing the food was. Were still having guests and family talk about the food!! The staff was extremely efficient and on top of everything! I will recommend them to everyone!

Lynn - thanks for looking after our wedding catering on the 29th of May. We had a fantastic time at Villa Parker, and are still hearing positive comments about your food. There were a couple of folks considering weddings in that room - aside from cooking up some fantastic grub for us, you may have made a sale or two. Since we first ran into you guys at a Villa Parker tasting event, we were really impressed by the food quality and the professionalism of your staff. Our wedding was no exception - that pork was absolutely out of this world (and made some really great leftovers Id like to report), and the salad really hit the spot. All your staff were extremely attentive to us, and all we have heard from our guests both during and after our event was "Do these guys have a restaurant, because I want to eat there." Responsive, friendly, flexible. After reaching out to several catering companies to cater our wedding reception, my wife and I were most impressed with Occasions responsiveness and willingness to work within our budget and be extremely flexible and friendly throughout the entire process. Michelle was so easy to work with and helped us create an event that was better than I could have hoped. From organizing our table and linen rentals, to crafting a DELICIOUS menu of hors doeuvres, to helping with any and everything we needed the day of the reception Occasions was top notch! The chef and on-site staff were very friendly and helpful as well and thought of everything. The table display was gorgeous and cleanup was handled before anyone even noticed.
