I had read the reveiws here so I called Strands. now I had hair to almost my waist but was ready for a big change. I spoke to the girl who answered and was very specific. i wanted my hair cut to shoulder blades, shagged and colored. she asked about color and I explained hopw long my hair was and that I needed a stylist who was good at new haircuts not foloowing old ones. she gave me an appt with Chanel. I went in discuseed exactly what I wanted she acted like she understood. and proceeded to cut my braid off AT the TOP of my shoulders. I couldnt beleive it. Kept calm and went with it. figured it was done and I didnt want to upset her so she wouldnt screw the rest of the cut and color up. she had my pick a shade of red i liked and proceeded to tinfoil my hair but only the top. Never asking me if i wanted the whole head done and colored not once. Now the colors are pretty but only half my head was done but then comes the kicker she cut my hair in a bad bob with holes in it and one side almost 2 inches longer than the other. I was tramatized but loved the color and just wanted to get home. once I got home and saw how bad the hair cut was I called Chanel the next day. she was very dismisive and said I could wait a week to have the "few pieces" trimmed up. OMG it was NOTHING like I had repeatedly asked for and it was so uneven i couldnt wear it down. I tried to call the owner Robin to see if she would fix it for me( assuming she had way more experience and so she could see the rotten job her employee does) She was with a customer and the girl answering the phone refused to let me know when to call back because I didnt want my name left in a message for gossip among the employees. chanel must of figured it out because she called me back and apologized and found time to work me in the next day. Scared to death I went in and she had me pick a picture out.( which my hair looks NOTHING like BTW) It took her an hour and a half to cut my hair and here i am with literally almost no hair left and again the different sides look like different haircuts. I have to use so much hairspray to keep the hair back so as to confuse the eye because literally the hair by my left ear is an inch and a half longer than the hair by my right ear. The hair by my right eye is an inch longer than the hair by my left eye. My hair isnt even near my shoulders now and I dont know where to go or what to do. I went in with waist length hair trying to get shoulder blade length hair and now I have almost NO HAIR and its still one of the worst crappy cuts I have ever had in my life and I dont know where to turn. AVOID STRANDS like the plague especially CHANEL!!!!

Very Friendly; Great Experience! From setting up my appointment to getting my service, everyone was so friendly and helpful. I had set an appointment for a haircut/consultation with Chanel, but was also interested in doing some kind of straightening service; so Nancy, who does all the straightening services plus a ton of other services, actually went out of her way to call and talk to me about her services and to get me in with a consultation. So I ended up getting my haircut and consultation with Nancy so that I could get a chance to talk with her about possible straightening services and get to know her. She had great recommendations for me and suggested I try a different treatment than I wanted because she didnt want to cause damage to my hair. She has a lot of experience and it really shows. She gave me a great cut and style for only $25!! And she really paid attention to my desires and what would look best on me according to my hair type. EVERYONE there was so friendly and helpful and thats what I want in a salon, along with experienced hairstylists - thats exactly what strands is. I am very grateful to these reviewers for suggesting a great salon!! Thanks Nancy and Strands for a great experience, great service, and all at a very fair price! I cant wait for my straightening treatment!! :) Oh--and in case I wasnt clear--I DEFINITELY recommend Strands Salon!

The first time I went to Strands I left with rave reviews because my stylist Jaime was amazing. Apparently she no longer works there. Here is the reason I will never go back: I set an appointment for 9am this morning. I showed up at 8:55 and waited until 9:05 and the building was still locked/not open for the day. I decided my appointment must have been for 9pm (although that seemed odd) and went to work. I got a call at 9:15 from Emily (shamelessly) asking if I was coming in for my appointment. I told her what happened and all she had to say was "No, I was here at 9:02". What kind of business runs that way? I get that you got up late and did not open your salon on time, but instead of apologizing or even acknowledging what happened, she argued with me, did not offer to even reschedule and just said "well, okay" and hung up the phone. I thought I found a great salon in Greeley, but unfortunately will now have to search for another.

This salon has to be the unprofessional salon in Greeley avoid going to Shirley Johnson or Shelby what ever that blonde headed girl name is. Walked in on April 10th of 2017 she cut a whole chunk of my head when I told her I only wanted a trim and my hair a little bit more layer she went behind my ear and cut a whole chunk then when I realized it a day later I called and she said she noticed it but obviously I havent had a hair cut over a year in a half. Very disappointed.. and she has the audacity to give me her card after she knew what she had done to my hair I went back she didnt even apologize her manager had apologize for her. Manger ended up giving my money back but its going to take a while for my hair to grow please avoid going to this salon you will be very disappointed.

I went in to get a pixie cut for the first time in my life. Lindsey was my stylist and she was extremely knowledgable! She answered all of the questions I had, made suggestions, took in all of the information I gave her (an amazing feat, since I basically had no idea what I really wanted), and gave me the best haircut Ive ever had. I totally love it. The price was great too - only $25 for a cut or trim. Additionally, because it was my first time going short, she offered a free "check-up" to fix anything I didnt like about it within a 2-week time period, free of charge!! This all happened about 5 weeks ago, and I am going back next week for my first trim. Love it! Thanks Strands!

Emily did an amazing job highlighting my hair. I brought in a picture of what I call and icy blonde, and she made it look just like the color I was dying for. I felt that she was knowledgable about color and she toned the blonde perfectly to make it the icy color I was going for instead of a brassy/golden color (which was my existing color). Emily took the time to make the color exactly how I wanted it and payed attention to the details. I was very pleased with the experience. It was only $50 for the highlights, toning, and style which I thought was a fantastic price.
