I first called to see if they had an appointment time available on New Years Eve. The woman on the other end of phone said "yes come on in". I arrived at 1030 there was two Hispanic woman stylists a 40 year old and a 60ish year old. They both had clients the younger one came over to the counter to ask what I needed. I told her I had called in and told I could come in now. I also told her I wanted a dye and hair cut. She said they both had clients on the chair. She asked if I could come back in 30 or 45 minutes. I came back in 35 minutes and continued to wait for 20 minutes. After the long wait I was called back by the younger woman. We chatted about my hair. I briefed her about what chemicals I had used in my hair. I told her my scalp could not tolerate heavy chemicals and I usually used henna because that was so gentle. Prior to starting my henna use the store bought die made my hair fall out. I also told her that my hair did well with Aveda products I used to get my hair done at an Aveda Solon in the Springs. Once we got dont with the introduction of my hair she said " we charge $65 for dye plus $20 for extra mixes and $35 for a cut. I told her that was fine. The stylist went so far as to bring me a price list and told me. "Its a lot of money and I need you to initial this document acknowledging I told you". Im a little disgusted but I kept a positive attitude. She put the dye in my hair and brings in another woman and sits her beside me. The stylist tells me you have a 45 minute wait until I can wash out your dye. Cont. The lady starts her hair introduction. My stylist takes her back and wets her head. They come back and starts brushing her out. She doesnt give her the pricing brief. No initialing the pricing document. She starts cutting her hair. Once she is done with the cut she starts blowing her hair out. The dryer stops working and she goes to borrow one from the old stylist. Meanwhile the lady client next to me says "Am I interrupting your process?" The stylist returns and says your 45 minutes are up and takes me back to the wash area. She lays me back with my head in a sink. The stylist then says "I have to let rub the dye through your ends and you have another ten minute wait". She leaves and continues with her other client. Ten minutes go by and my scalp is burning. Fifteen minutes go by and I turn on the water to rinse this stuff out. Im terrified Im going to lose my hair. Thirty five munites later and after she is done styling and cashing her other client out. The stylist comes to me and rinses me out. Im pissed by now. She does a sorry rushed rinse job. She clips a few ends does a piss poor drying job. I told her to style my hair. Since she did not thoroughly dry my hair and she gets her hot iron and starts straightening my hair! My hair is smoking! Burning! I finally tell her...Ill do my own bangs. The process is complete my color is good but this woman knows nothing about cutting nor styling. We go to the register. I grab Aveda products and ask her to add those to my bill. She rings me out and prior to closing out the transaction I asked her. Did you add a tip? She goes back to see if she could do it...she cant. Later I realize from the beginning this stylist was judging me. She assumed because I was Hispanic I could not afford to go to an Aveda Solon. She assumed because I was Hispanic I could not give a tip. She assumed because that he other walkin client she serviced after I was in the chair with chemicals on my head, had money and could afford her services because she was not belittled with the pricing crap. I earn 125k a year my husband 140k a year but I was treated like I could not afford my services because I was in sweats and Im Hispanic. What is more disgusting is that it was another Hispanic woman treating me like that. I Ill never go back and neither should anyone else. She did not know how to use the blow dryer...she kept dropping her brushes. A sign of an ammature stylist. She kept the chemicals on my scalp for over an hour knowing my hair falls out with harsh chemicals.

When I walked in for my appointment the stylist looked up at me, didnt acknowledge my presence and continued to do what she was doing. I sat there for over 30 minutes past my appointment and nothing. When I finally got in a chair, mind you with no apology or explanation, they tried to charge me $190 for a balayage. According to the pricing chart they gave me to sign, their balayage starts at $100. I have shorter to medium length hair and wasnt getting a cut, shampoo or anything extra and my hair is already blonde so Im not sure what the extra $90 was for. Heres the kicker- she had the nerve to tell me I wasnt going to get the look I was going for and would have to come back. After $190?!?? No cut, no shampoo, my hair is already blonde and Id have to come back and what? pay another $190? No thanks. Both ladies that work there were very rude and talked down to me the entire time. Needless to say I left and reported them.

I was initially really excited because I love Aveda products and Aveda stylists are trained to the T. My stylist, however decided to do what SHE wanted to my hair swearing i would love it. I asked for lighter highlights and got a darker blonde and copper/red highlights. She also had me hold the foil box and hand her the foils as she needed. . I also told her that I was trying to let my hair grow and just needed a trim. She cut my hair and kept cutting and cutting until my hair was shorter than it had ever been in my whole life. She styled my hair and burned my eye lid with the heat of the styling tool. After this wonderful experience I had a bill of 220 dollars. She had the nerve to ask for a tip... she pointed out that I had to tip on a credit card. This was the worst experience I have ever had at ANY salon. I am displeased with my hair 100% Save yourself the agony because you do not get what you pay for.
