The other day I received a notice in the mail from this gym with a bunch of offers. I am new to Denver area, and decided to check it out. The facility was nice. Brand new machines and everything was clean and up-kept. However, it is small. I do a lot more than just run and use machines. I like classes, and swimming etc. I wouldnt mark this place down because it could be right for quite a few people, just not me. The problem was that the workers were VERY pushy. They would not let me check it out first and finally offered me this amazing deal that I really couldnt resist. During their sh-peel, they told me that the only gym in the area that offered the things I wanted was lifetime fitness and Id be looking at spending over $80 (which I found isnt true, more expensive but not $80). I am fine with paying more because I use the things that are offered but they tried to convince me that money is an issue for me and that I would rather get the basics to relieve my money stresses. Well I finally was released and able to work out. I dont use many machines, and they didnt have two of them. Wouldnt be an issue, except the machines are some of the most used and basic machines. I have never seen a gym that didnt have the two that didnt have. It was very crowded, too many machines for the space. It was very crowded and I had to wait 20 min to get on a machine. When I finally got the machine, another person came over and stood right next to the machine which prevented me from doing the exercise unless I were to kick her with every lift. I looked around and there was not another spot for her to move to. It was just too crowded. I was only able to do half my workout and ended up going home to do the rest. Worst service, and horrible gym in general. If you just like machines and treadmills, this is a perfect option for you. But if you want to do anything else, I would not recommend stepping into the door because you wont leave until you have a contract.

This place is down right awful. Before deciding to enter a contract with fitness 19 you should know they have a bunch of clauses in there contract. The sales reps are very pushy and persuasive and because you want to get in a gym and start losing that weight you buy in. I forgot I changed my bank card after it was lost or stolen so my payments werent going through. No phone calls no letters in the mail saying my payment would go through, just a letter with a fat bill from a collection agency. The whole time I thought my contract was up but I kept getting charged and had no clue. After cancelling I was charged twice because I was within 24hr of my new billing cycle. There are plenty of other alternatives, gyms with no contracts or monthly payments up front. I just hope I can deviate one person form sighing up with fitness 19 with this post because they do not deserve your business. You should want a gym that cares about you and your goals not a bunch of money suckers.

Seriously do not get involved here. If you do, pay extra close to the "cancellation policy" and the policy where they raise your rate $4 every year. Then google about how so many people have issues with fitness 19 not honoring canceling memberships. Also note how they are so bad that they cant even get accredited at the BBB. In addition the facility is not very good. For example, the treadmills are lined up so the sun is in directly in your face all morning long. The stationary bikes are not of quality a gym should have and give blisters quickly. The "personal trainers" are no better than any internet guru with no formal education in biology or kinesiology. The routines they give you are not tailored for you any better than asking for advice from any fitness forum. This gym is seriously not worth more than $5 per month.

They dont even deserve one star! This is the worst gym/ business that I have ever been to. The staff are the rudest people I have ever met!! The manager Derek is the most unprofessional manager I have ever met in my life!!! I cannot believe that someone would leave somebody like this in charge to run their company. I went into cancel my membership, because my family and I moved. All I wanted to do was sign the cancellation form and he threw the biggest fit I have ever seen and I have two kids! There was also a girl working in there named Vanessa, who had quite the attitude! I really hope the owner of this gym sees this message and takes action! Since this incident I have been reading a lot of reviews on this gym and theyre not very many good ones. Trust me... dont go to this gym!!!

Super crowded if youre going early/late, youll have to wait for nearly every piece of equipment, management is not friendly, staff sits at the front desk and plays on their phones instead of greeting people, keeping the place tidy, etc. Finally decided to cancel my membership because the dread of going to this gym.. still had to pay an annual fee, still got charged monthly dues.. I called to talk to a manager about the reoccurring charges and was told I needed to prove that my membership was canceled and bring my bank statement to her... I called my credit card company and disputed the charges, all the money was eventually refunded to my account. Bottom line, theres a lot of gyms out there and this place needs better management and employees who do work while they are at work.

WORST SERVICE!!! I had tried to cancel my account before leaving CO. I then get a call months later stating I owe them money! I once again told them I had canceled and they said they would make a note on my account and let accounting know. Another couple months go by and I had the woman from accounting call and say she was going to put my account in collections! Then told me there was no one else higher than her I could talk to and she is the manager (which I know is not true!) I highly suggest thinking about joining this gym!!! apparently all they care about is ripping people off. I wouldnt have given this gym a star, but I guess you have to in order to leave a review.

Shady company. Asked for my bank routing number instead of my credit card when signing up. Said it was for "my protection". I said no way. When I cancelled my membership, it was a big hassle and they didnt want to take no for an answer. Also said I couldnt cancel over the phone but had to come in to do it, with the owner no less. The reason I cancelled is because I moved an hour awsy. A couple months after I cancelled, I looked at my credit card statement and saw a charge for my membership! Called the front desk and they said they lost my paperwork. How convenient? Told me I had to drive in again to cancel. What a joke.

I just called a couple minutes ago and spoke with Chris, who wanted to charge me 10 dollars for a one day pass after I went online and filled out the free pass for first time users. I was not impressed with him at all to say the least. Im pretty set on finding a smaller club, wanting to leave Lifetime for the summer. I wont be going here. The first face means alot to me, he came off as someone who didnt care about his facility, leaving me to ask ant specific questions. It sounded like he was reading off a paper. Above all, he didnt care. I dont need to be cuddled, but wheres the energy? No, thank you.
