My two children have attended Goddard School of Thornton for a combined total of five years. The education they have received has gone well beyond what I expected. My son was more than ready for kindergarten, and my daughter is already ready for kindergarten and she has another year before she starts. My kids got a good foundation in reading, math, science, geography, and international culture, and my daughter is picking up Spanish and sign language too. The school is comparable in price to other schools in the area, but the value is much higher. One of the owners (a married couple owns the facility) has a background in early childhood education, and one or the other of the owners is almost always on-site, usually in addition to at least one other administrator. They are incredibly responsive to any concerns and given the extremely low turnover in staffing I would guess that the teachers feel the same way. My daughter is being taught by the same teachers my son was taught by four years ago. My kids have both loved all their teachers (with the exception of one recently who only lasted a couple of weeks - my daughter was glad to see her go, but she wasnt there for long anyway so alls well), the owners, and the management - my son still gives hugs and high fives all around when we pick up my daughter. The school is an excellent school if your child has medical issues of any sort, as they are a peanut-free facility and have been very good with my daughters medical issues and the issues of other children whose parents I have spoken with. There is very little spread of colds, flus, and other bugs because the teachers encourage children to wash their hands as soon as they arrive at school and frequently during the day. Compared to other preschools I toured, and another preschool my son attended before Goddard opened, the facility is up-to-date, in good repair, clean, brightly colored, and doesnt feel warehousey at all. The teacher-to-student ratios are appropriate, and if theres ever a situation where additional help is needed in a classroom the owners and administrators are right there to step in.

After looking at several preschools in the Thornton/Northglenn area, none of them compared to the feeling we got from The Goddard School. Immediately our son found friends just in visiting the classroom and everyone was kind, informative, and energetic. We couldnt believe that it was so affordable since it was our favorite by far! I loved that the kids got to eat what they wanted for lunch, community involvement was a big part of their curriculum, and the rooms always had multiple adults present (and windows to the hallways/bathrooms). It put my mind at ease that my son wouldnt be scared and that he would have access to the directed attention that kids this age need. Their daily emails let you know what your child learned that day, what educational goals were in mind, and pictures of your child engaging. We love all of his teachers (Gabbi, Nikki, Lexi, and Trevor) as well as the office staff. The owner, Jena, was always available to chat be it related to kindergarten enrollment or personal issues. And when we had a family emergency, they let our son stay the full day without hesitation so we could have peace of mind knowing he was somewhere he felt safe until we could get to him. I cant begin to tel you what a difference this school made in our son. While kindergarten prep was important to us, so too was a strong feeling that he was poorly socialized with other kids and needed help relating. The positive change in him both emotionally and educationally during his time there is profound. I think all parents (especially nowadays with the internet as a resource) feel that they can do a good job of helping their children learn and grow. But nobody should exist in a vacuum and the investment we were able to make in Goddard was so important. It really does take a village and having so many people invested in my kiddo gave him a great basis for his years in school. Thank you Goddard!

Our 3 year old daughter had instances of biting and pinching other children. She would pinch a child and immediately tell the teacher what she did. She would even admit to pinching when she had not even done so. The school s response was to pull her out of class and call mom to pick her up. While our daughter sat on a mat in the administration office, they would place a call and discuss the incident with mom, all while our daughter was listening. Once mom arrived, they proceed to talk about our daughter in front of her more. Their solution was to have someone follow her to observer the behavior in order to offer solutions. Never mind the fact that pinching mean going home to see mommy is the only conclusion our daughter reached. The administrator even stated that our daughter lacked empathy. As far as I can tell, these are normal behaviors for a child and they need consequences and redirection. She was stigmatized instead. We pulled our daughter and were forced to pay two weeks more for a classroom / facility where she was not welcomed. Teacher student ratios are at the State required maximums, even though tuition is at a premium compared to other local child care centers. Attention / one on one focus is at a minimum. Facilities are top notch, that s where your tuition goes.

I love everything about Goddard!!! As a mother of two young children, I struggle with balancing a career and sending my children off to school at such a young age. The love, respect and patience that the teachers, owners and directors display towards my children eases that worry and warms my heart daily. My children have so much fun learning at Goddard. I thoroughly enjoy our dinner conversations about what they learned that day at school. The excitement and admiration that is in their voices when they talk about their teachers is too cute for words! I could not be more proud of where they are developmentally. They have excelled in creativity and have learned outstanding social skills. Thank you to Goddard for providing such a wonderful learning and loving environment for my kids!

We love The Goddard School! Weve had nothing but a wonderful experience with our 2 year old at the Thornton location & are excited to be starting our newborn with them in October. Weve moved a few times for work so our son has attended Bright Horizons, KinderCare & now The Goddard School; Goddard is by far the very best! I personally interviewed half a dozen daycares/schools in our area upon moving back to Denver & absolutely favored Goddard over all others. Not only do they offer the best curriculum & environment for our littles, but the cost is also very competitive with other centers (they are actually NOT the most expensive btw). Enrolling our children in Goddard is the best decision weve made for their early learning development!

We love sending our daughter to Goddard in Thornton. She sees her teachers and immediately smiles, so it makes it easy for us to leave her knowing that she loves going everyday. The staff and teachers are all great, very professional and safety is of great concern to them.
