I was originally attracted to Marini based on past reviews, I was not disappointed. First of all, Im an engineer and as such, were trained to pay attention to details. So as far as Marini Paving goes, Ive commented on several aspects of my project. 1. Communication: superb, quick, courteous responses 2. Materials: The asphalt material was the proper temperature (yes, i checked with an IR thermometer) and laid down to the proper depth. (My previous drive had thin spots). There was a small amount of material left over so I felt they didnt skimp on laying down the material. In addition to the driveway paving, a retaining wall was built. Top quality materials (Nicolok) and craftsmanship. 3. Workmanship: Well above par. Performed as promised with great attention to detail. For example, all edges were beveled and tamped flat. 4. Preparation: Marini spent over 1 day ripping out the old paving, re-grading and preparing for the work. As with any project, preparation is the key to success. 5. Cleanliness: Hey, asphalt is dirty (and hot) work. All materials were removed and the area cleaned. The workers even cleaned the street where material fell. 6. Equipment: New equipment, obviously well maintained both mechanically and physically. Vibratory roller used to ensure proper compaction. No equipment issues throughout the project. I would not hesitate to recommend Victor, Frank and their crew Thanks guys!

Let me tell you, they are not for the customer. After having belgium block installed, dirt was left on the side of the block completely killing the newly planted grass. I asked Victor if he would please remove the dirt, to which he replied" This is how we put the block in and you will have to put down new grass seed" Wait, there is already grass there so why cant you remove the dirt so my grass can grow back, I say. He would still not come back and remove there dirt, so now I have to do it, with bad back and all! Not there for the customer! And so, it continues, Victor Marini personally called me and asked what he could do to help my situation. I said great, you could please remove the dirt on the left side of the driveway that is killing my grass and put down topsoil on the garden. He said "yes", he would do that.. He brought 5 bags of topsoil and put 2 of them on my garden and left me the rest. That was very nice and I said to him that it was an awesome Christmas present. So, all is well in Marini land and I take back my awful review. Thank you, Victor, Jane

We have a large driveway (2000 sq ft) with retaining walls on either side that rise up to 5 feet tall. Add in a catch basin and I was not looking forward to getting our driveway redone. Vic Marini of Marini Paving helped alleviate a lot of my concerns; he was always on-time, open to my input, gave a fair price, and the quality of workmanship was amazing. I needed a minor fix once the driveway was done and Vic came back, no questions asked, to make sure I was satisfied with the work. The only negative, and a minor one at that, is you will end up leaving a voicemail when you contact Marini Paving - they call you back fairly quickly but you dont often get a live person on the phone. HOWEVER, a big part of that is Vic (owner) is on-site for the jobs. I would willingly leave a voicemail each time if that means the OWNER is on-site working and being a direct point-of-contact rather than passing it off to some random coworker. Overall, thrilled with the work, price, and service. Thanks!!

I highly recommend Marini Paving for their outstanding professionalism and exceptional work. I asked Victor Marini to come to my house in Shelton CT to quote a new driveway, concrete sidewalk and retaining wall. He showed up on time and he offered alot of insight and suggestions for the job at hand. Prep and completion were timely and neat. A previous reviewer mentioned that some dirt was left along the edge of the grass-- thats not a fair expectation, or critique, when having construction done at your house. I had block installed on the perimeter of my driveway and knew, from reading their contract, that they are not responsible for backfilling. The price was fair and I felt I received a lot of value for what I paid. All in all, the driveway, wall, and sidewalk are fantastic & my available parking spaces increased from 4 to 7. I am very happy with the service I received. Thank you Victor.

Victor , Frank and their crew were absolutely first rate! We had a blue stone walkway and driveway installed and the results are extraordinary. Victor and Frank were patient with all of my questions , very respectful , meticulous, and consummate professionals. They have the hardest working crew I have ever seen. I would recommend them without question and , in fact, I am going to have my front entryway redone by them this fall! To sum up.... great guys and superior workmanship.

I recently contracted Mirini to do the driveway at my home and I have to say that they did an outstanding job. Starting with Victor, extremely helpful went out of his way to help me remove huge rocks that I had in my backyard which had nothing to do with the driveway and he did it anyway at no extra charge. Also, while they where doing the driveway he was constantly asking me if I was pleased with averything! Reasonable price and very professional.

Marini used beautiful Belgium block to border the driveway and gardens. Immaculate work. Attention to detail is an understatement. Asphalt was cleanly edged around gardens and sidewalk and asphalt connections were seamless. They even swept and washed down my two neighbors driveways and the part of the street in front of the house. I interviewed countless companies and followed the reviews. Dont bother calling anyone else.
