Unfortunately, after 15 years of my family bringing our Acuras to AOA I am now officially done with this dealership. Their unprofessional staff in the service department is what has really solidified this decision. We have purchased 3 cars from them and have CONSISTENTLY serviced all of them, even for silly things that would be much cheaper elsewhere. When deciding to purchase my first car, I was adamant about only going to Acura of Avon as I had always been impressed with their service and overall treatment of their customers. With that being said, as a young woman I am appalled at how I have been treated. For the last year every time I have taken my vehicle to them I had mentioned that there was some sort of shutter (did not know if it was the transmission or the turbo), but nonetheless there was a shutter while driving the car that should NOT have been happening. Time after time, I was more or less made a joke of and told there was absolutely nothing wrong and it was fine (and blamed for not having done routine maintenance on the car). To this, I laughed. I have brought this car in again and again for every oil change and "routine maintenance", even having moved an hour away I still went out of my way to go to AOA. Since the day I purchased the car it has been as if my wishes or requests are a joke, within the first week the tweeter speaker kept falling out of the door--which I had to have "fixed" three times, and its still not repaired even those they "replaced the entire speaker". I will bring my car in for service, and wait much longer than any of the other customers, even the ones arriving after I do. When my car is ready, I will walk outside to get into it and it will be in the middle of other cars that have just been serviced but also be the only one that is not washed. Recently, my car has developed a rattle of sorts. So instead of giving AOA another chance and putting myself at an inconvenience, I decided to go to Devan Acura of Norwalk which is closer to where I live. When I brought it they IMMEDIATELY took it for a test drive until they heard the noise and could really pinpoint where it was coming from!!!!!! They fixed it the same day too and it seemed like it took less time than an oil change at AOA. In addition, I mentioned the shutter to them and before I could finish they offered to take it for another test drive to now listen and feel that...which they did! They completed some "fix it" stuff in an attempt to get rid of it, and told me that even when my car is out of warranty, now that they have a record of it, if something catastrophic happens it would be covered 100%. Now keep in mind this is my FIRST time at this dealer and they treated me like I have been a lifelong customer. Maybe AOA should take some notes. Fortunately I have found a dealer that treats their customers with the respect they deserve.

Acura of Avons service department leaves much to be desired. We took our 2007 TL in for repair from some pot hole damage. The repair was subcontracted out to a local repairshop, but Acura of Avon okd the final product and signed off on the car as safe to drive. Two months later, on a roadtrip to South Carolina with 2 babies in the backseat, the front right wheel came OFF the car. Luckily, the noise that the car was making was so loud, that we pulled off the interstate to check on the car when the wheel fell off. The local New Jersey Acura dealership picked the car up and determined that the only way this could have happened was neglect during the repair. One bolt apparently holds the wheel onto the axel, and that bolt was left untightened. Long story short, the service manager in Avon kept passing the responsibility off onto the subcontracted shop, but the final OK was by Acura of Avon. There had been no mention of another shop doing the repair until the wheel came off. Acura of Avon letterhead was used the entire time until there was a problem. Chris, the manager, was condescending and unwilling to help until the general manager was contacted. Even then, the reimbursement from the bill at the NJ dealership and our rental car was difficult, at best, to extract from Acura of Avon. Reimbursement of under $1000 seemed like a reasonable expectation when Im positive that litigation would have returned much more. Steer clear of this dealerships service department. Its worth the drive to any other dealership.

Long on and off (due to family relocation) experience with this dealer and service. very impressed with their professional courtesy from every staff and friendly environment. they mean it. of course good price for cars and service as a certified Acura station. Edit (May 29, 2015, changed 5 stars to one star) Until they turned out to be a bunch of shrewd swindlers. I had 3 tires of my MDX replaced almost 3 years ago there and one of them was recently found with a puncture plug at another Acura service center in my new location. I just went back to Acura of Avon for an explanation and they flatly denied that they had anything to do with it - tire warranty expires a year. The general manager of Acura of Avon even accused that the tire could be punctured and plugged during car service in other places including those annual safety inspection. Ive only driven my MDX for several thousand miles since the tire replacement and never had a tire puncture or rotation service. So I know for sure that the faulty tire was supposed to be one of the 3 new tires replaced at Acura of Avon. Clearly they sold me a plugged old tire as a brand new one. I trusted them. What can a customer do? I called Acura client relations and the guy recommends me to check with the tire manufacturer. Can you believe it? Are there any business police in America?! Unbelievable !!

Amazing Expereience. If it wasn’t for the courteous and respectful staff at the Acura of Avon dealership, who I believe always goes the extra mile and strives for ultimate perfection (ESPECIALLY Betsy!!!!), I would have lost all faith in the Acura product line entirely as I have had very disappoint experiences elsewhere. I am very thankful that they are always reachable and swiftly returns phone calls. I brought my car in because the check engine light came on, after diagnosis Betsy called me back to tell me that the reason I had the issue was because of an issue with my catalytic converter. She then went into overdrive mode, calling Acura Care and then doing research on my vehicle to finally discover that it was a repair that was covered under my factory warranty saving me $$$. I love this dealership and they have made me a customer for LIFE!

John DeFalco Bought a 2013 MDX from Acura of Avon. I dealt with Ron Desilva and Mike Iacino and they were both great to deal with. Drove all the way from Long Island to buy here. Very happy I did. They had the vehicle I wanted and were very accommodating and professional. Mike spent alot of time with me during the test drive and the day of purchase and answered all my questions. They both went out of their way to make sure I left a satisfied customer. The price was reasonable and their customer service is excellent. I would buy a car again from them again if the opportunity arose. Thank you both Ron and Mike for making my purchase such a pleasant experience.
