I started the edge in April with personal training too. the explanation in the beginning was different from what they started to charge me monthly so I went to the staffs several time to ask how it worked. every time I went up to the staffs, seemed like they really did not know the answer but they said that there were 6 sessions I paid already but did not use it, told me to use it up. so to use up those sessions, I increased 30 min training to one hour. after few weeks later they charged me $100.00 more. I was mad and couldnt deal with this every months, so I went to see a general manager who I never saw before. he said I didnt have any prepaid sessions I didnt use so I need to pay for those I did one hour. and because my account get charged on 29th and I cancelled on 30th, they will charge another month of four but he will give me one credit because they charged me one cancellation, which they said they would not charge me at that time. I was so mad for not training the staffs. they should know what they are doing. I could tell that manager didnt not feel sorry, he was so cold with no smile. staffs here are often rude with no smiles or nice explanation, but I never said anything. However, I feel like this gym does not care about customer care, and they just want the money. I am going to leave the gym after one year contract to go to another gym. very disappointed and customers dont deserve this kind of attitude!!!! the owner should train the staffs better bc now it may be busy, but soon customers will leave one by one if there are better gym to go.

Im in the danbury ct one and I could kick myself for joining. Ive always gone to gyms, not fitness clubs, except once in Dallas, which was just like the Edge, and I hated that one too. But 15 years later, with no gym options, I must have crazily thought it would be different, but unfortunately, there are no real gyms around here. This place just keeps selling and selling and selling memberships. The parking lot looks like the mall at Christmas time. Half the time the weights are in use. I always have to wait for the leg press - for a while one of them was broken. The machines - forget it. Youll be waiting. If you know free weights and are experienced, you might be able to be fluid enough to adjust your routine depending on when you go, but if not, youll probably quickly grow frustrated and stop going. I know weights and Ive stopped going. When I joined, no one told me I needed to swipe my card at the desk, then no one told me to check in for classes, or that I get points that accumulate for things. Every time I walk in the door I feel as if I descended into Grand Central Station. Even off hours from 1 - 3 pm are jammed. Unfortunately, I think the other clubs - Planet Fitness for example - is the same situation. If I could do it over, I would NOT NOT NOT

All other gyms in the area has abdominal roller machine, the Edge does not, a lot of people love to exercise with it. We asked them if they could buy one 3 months ago and " no response". A friend of my brought one from home to leave at the gym, and after 1 month the machine disappeared from the gym. My friend went to talk to them, and of course they are not responsible for it. My issue is: IF everybody loves to do their abdominal with this " ab roller", why they still refuse to buy one? This is ridiculous! Also when you go to the gym before they look at your face and say "Welcome", they look at the computer to see if you have been paying on time. I completely understand that they need to have the payments updates, but first welcome the people that choose to be at your gym looking at their face and welcome them. Danbury has a lot of gyms and they should be proud that we pick The Edge to work out. If next week they still did not buy the " ab roller", my friends and I are going to move to other gym that has it and also they enjoy having us there.

I actually really liked the gym in the beginning. Its a pretty spacious place. One incident that totally ruined my experience there was the staff. I wanted to order a protein shake, and the young lady that was attending me, had the worst attitude! People work out, and I dont think the best thing to do is give the clients attitudes, as they just finished getting "amped." Luckily, i didnt react, but another incident happened today, to be exact tonight, where my husband on his headphones was approached completely inappropriately. He wasnt able to hear, and one of their staff pressed him shouting "were closing, didnt you hear us!" Then, was told to pick up after himself. Common curtesy, yes we all know to unload the weighs on a smith machine and so on, but being that he was approached with hostility my husband refused and then was told he was no longer allowed to come back to the gym. This is completely unacceptable, the gym is awesome but the people need a lot more customer service training. I am definetly out.

I have been to many gyms in the past few years and finally decided to give the best the edge a try, even though it is a half hour drive from my house I decided what the hell. I absolutely love it. The staff is great friendly and very helpful. I signed up for my free health assessment with their trainer Ray Rodriguez and signed up for one on one training with him that night. I couldnt be happier with my one on one training in one month I have list 10 pounds and a total of 8 inches and I am down two pants sizes. I work out four times a week. Two times I do the routines my trainer has taugh me and then 30 min cardio one time a week I take a strong class foundation 60 that my trainer recommended and then one day I train one on one and do my cardio. He also put me on a very easy meal plan to follow. All in all I highly would recommend the edge of Danbury and also my trainer Ray Rodriguez for one on one training. I am very comfortable working out at the edge and I actually now look forward to coming to work out.

I have been a member at a variety of gyms in the area. Each have pros and cons, but The Edge Fitness Club in Danbury doesnt have any cons in my opinion. Everything is clean, the staff are helpful and supportive and there are a wide variety of ways to exercise. Group classes, training sessions, free weight area, womens only area and so many more. The shakes are delicious and filling, always made with a smile. Children can be taken care of while parents workout and the cinema room is great if you want to watch a movie. The trainers are all friendly, and are very knowledgable when teaching strong classes. Grace is my trainer, and she has been pivotal in helping me reach my goals. Always encouraging me and believing I can accomplish things even when I doubt myself. I tell everyone about The Edge, it will change the way you feel about exercising. In a great way!
