Total rip off. I dont write bad reviews ever. I just dont return to the source. But these guys will take advantage of more people until they are stopped. They come out to your house and offer you a service contract which waives their fees to show up and offer a 10% discount on service. Then when they do come, the contract doesnt cover what theyre working on. Next they quote a couple hundred dollars for a 10 minute fix, but you pay it because your pipe has a leak. They break another component of your system while fixing the pipe, which they admit. Then the next day say you have to pay for the parts and labor to fix what they broke. Total scam artists who will hold you hostage for money and repairs. Dont use them. Its a shame, because my first experience with them, while expensive was positive, which is why I signed a service contract with them. Goes to show, once they have you, they dont care about providing good, honest, and reliable service after. Terry and John are good guys. Darrel is a total scam artist who wont own up to his mistakes or tell you how much a job will really cost until he is done. "Eh should be about $260 to fix this." Three days later "Well were over $700 for what this will cost". How does that happen with no conversation with the customer?

I needed to replace my central air conditioning in my house. I called Andrew at Homestead for a proposal. Andrew inspected the existing system and wrote up a proposal. I compared it to other proposals I had gotten. The Homestead proposal was more through and answered all of my questions. It was also priced higher than the other proposals. But when you looked at everything they included in the proposal it was a much better system and well worth the price. I chose Homestead and I am really glad I did. Chris, Kevin and the entire crew did an excellent job with the installation. When I saw the quality of the system and their work I couldnt have been more pleased. Total rip off. First time to write a review. I have an identical experience with Jonathan Yeshulas. In 3 weeks I spend 900$ just for cleaning and check where is the leak of my unit and they are asking to pay for the pipe they broke for 200+$. They came to check my system. Then they sell me maintenance services. After the maintenance they broke my pipe and said it was leaking. I think these guys are great in breaking pipe. They fix and broke things to keep the job going. They clean and search the leak of my system after that they said we need to repair your system but your system is obsolete and no parts available so you need a new one. I hope I read Jonathan Yeshulas review before working to this company.

I met the folks at Homestead about three years ago at the annual home show in Hartford and I have used them on three major projects since then. First they installed a Mitsubishi ductless split system (heating and cooling) so we enjoy quiet comfort in our most highly used living space. Then they installed a indirect water heater so now we are able to take hot showers at will. Last and most recently they installed central air for our upstairs. All of the projects featured energy efficiency, quality and comfort. We could not be happier with the service that they provided or the products they recommended. Excellent company top to bottom.

Homestead Fuel is a rip off! They charge $69 just to show up at your door. I live just over 3 miles away from their main office. Then they add fees for the service on top of this. I paid over $200 for 15 minutes of work to blow out a tube on my air handler. It was the same problem they "fixed" one year earlier.......for an additional $200+ . Do yourself a favor and hire someone else. Theyre crooks!

Homestead Fuel has been our contractor for heating since we bought our house in 2011. Since then they have installed and maintained our central air conditioning. They have also fixed a plumbing issue and installed a new kitchen sink and faucet that I purchased from a retail store. They do fantastic work and their employees are great. I would highly recommend them.
