I wanted to renew a post box used by my daughter in the UK, was told the number I gave was not under in the name listed, and that I could not retrieve the mail that was "on the shelf." I called my daughter from the post office; she confirmed the same number for the box. The counter person said she couldnt help- and that its NOT HER FAULT. I assured her it was, went home and got a piece of mail with said number on it, and returned to the office. Rather than apologize, she said I should have "given her warning" (for what?). WORST WORKER EVER!

The people are always friendly and polite, but it always takes so long to mail anything in Madison. I think the problem is that it is one of the very few post offices where the people working there cannot see the line of waiting people. They can only see the one person in front of them. With no visible line of people waiting, there is NO urgency to hurry along and they chat with customers instead of hustling!

Something always seems to go wrong here, but it seems to be out of the staffs control. Chip readers schould be installed asap.
