I would like to start off by saying I am a former postal employee of 11 years. Currently I work in Newington and had to use this facility. The staffing at the front window are so unprofessional and rude. I think It took them 5 minutes to attend to me while they looked in there cell phones. Then when they did there attitudes where disgusting and maybe due to there age but I was also young and would of never of acted in there manner. Hopefully the postmaster can get that under control for a better customer service experience.

Lots of negative reviews of this place, I got a busy signal on the first call but second call they patched me through, guy was cheerful, took two tracking numbers down without needing me to repeat (seriously think about how impressive that is) and confirmed my packages arrived that morning and were both put out for deliver AND gave me an estimated time they would get to my place. Only downside is the reason I had to call them was because the online tracking was not updated.

Horrible service. Just received notice in an email that they tried to make a delivery to my home and left a notice. Thing is.... Ive been home all morning and there is no notice on my door. Either they didnt look at the address, didnt feel like working on Sunday or they just dont care. Im betting on all three. We tried to use them from a passport but their passport person was never in. Horrible, horrible, horrible post office.

I order from a certain company on a regular basis. They request the shipment to be delivered by the local post office. Every, single, time there is an issue. Almost as if they did it on purpose, they deliver the package to the wrong address. Thank goodness, most of the time, the people they deliver it to are honest and bring it over to me.

Would give less than one star if system allowed. Telephone calls ring off the hook. Despite repeated requests, and proof of address forwarding, ~some~ (but not all) first class mail is delivered to old addresses and significant mail left at an obviously vacated house. When this was proven and pointed out, the response was a shrug.

I found out last night by phone that I was invited to a bridal shower tomorrow. The invitation had 147 instead of 149 for street address. It had my name on the envelope. No one lives at 147 but the post office decided to send the invitatation back to the bride 1 month later! If I could rate honestly I would give Zero ⭐️

Lines tend to get long here. There are lots of passport applications processed on weekends, which makes things especially slow. They also tend not to pick up the phone, so your best bet is to go in person. Just be prepared to wait in line during the busy times.

I want to cancel out some of the bad reviews! Ive been in Newington for 10 years and have never had a problem with the post office. Its a nice big office with an automated system that you can use 24/7. Great location right in the center of town.

we own an office building and town and the mail is always all wrong. the carrier is always different and never seems to know what they are doing. people either get mail thats not even theirs or none at all. we get complaints every day

I had several packages that are either misdelivered or Im getting another persons mail. Today for instance a package was delivered to the wrong address. When will they find people that can read and knows the numeric system?
